Ethn - Yeah it's a plot twist. Ah relief... the movie's over. Good things are to come... ... ... w.... OH F***!

Clarky - Yeah, Italy shouldn't fight, it's too beautiful a country to fight.

Mr Nick - Give me the direct link to the mp3 then, let's see what happens.

Ollyno1uk - You can network 2 computers together without only one cable, yes. As long as both network cards are the same transfer rate --ie. 10/100mbps-- you can network them. You can even get them both on the net if one of your computer has 2 network cards and you enable Internet Connection Sharing on that machine.

Sometimes you have to add certain protocols like NetBeui to get them to work.

Ovation1 - Clarky vid???

Clarky - Rome = 1000+ year Empire... the longest Empire ever. I think Italy deserves a break for several hundred generations. Have you seen Italy? It's breathtaking. I think that's the only country i'll ever say something like that about.

Invigor - At :40 it's D - G then G(f) - meaning G major form with F# in the bass. Just a Gmaj7th with F# in the base. I have a new clip of it. New parts, more verse/chorus parts.

Matt - What does a full endorsement deal include?

To all Vai Fans - This is my post # 777

Invigor - I posted this huge thing on how I practiced my one hand arps. Click on my total number of posts and read back. It was a really long post with 3 or 4 paragraphs.

OCP - I did some touch ups on the parts I have recorded which is just over 3 minutes of lead. This weekend i'm hoping to finish most of it. Thanks for checking up. I just haven't been motivated to play lately.

Naty - Does Italy drop bombs... but yeah I know what you mean.

Avarice - Heh, you have something to say about ANYTHING don't you precious? Yes you do! Killer joke about the bear though. Hahaha a bear walks into a bar. You had me there.

Ovation1 - Where video? I wanna see.

To all involved with the T2J cd - I think that even if I get my tracks done in time, the costs may hurt me too much to get this album going. I am very recently out of work because the place I work at had a management change and the job I do is affected in a way that now isn't enough to keep me employed. I have to save the cash I have for some other things that are more important than the album. I honestly can't see the album doing much with 200 produced copies let alone my paying my way through it. My song is really lacking the quality that anyone else on the album is which is also greatly discouraging me frm continuing. I've just completely lost interest and motivation in writing for the album. I will finish the song another time. In the case of music, there are several other things i'd really like to learn NOW and this album is just an obstacle for me.

OCP - Seriously, you're too kind. That teaching job sounds like a dream job. I think i'd consider it strongly if I could find a music store. The next thing I wanted to do with guitar isn't really a project. There are just all these really inspiring musical pieces that I will learn by ear (which I started last night). The first is -Christian Alsing - Nut- . I love this tune. What energy... what groove. I love it to death. It's the first track off his album. Christian's stuff is insane and it's so exhilerating to learn his insane licks by ear and practice them until you can jam right along with Christian on his recordings. --These pieces I want to learn have a lot to offer I think. I don't think I have a lot to offer as a guitar player. If I take my time writing songs, I have had people rave about my tunes. I mean, it's not something that EVERYBODY loves but the odd person really really digs some of my tunes. Most people will say "that's cool" and nothing more. Some people go on and on because I guess I created a hook which only happens for certain people. It's very gratifying. Most people on the site have actually written at least one tune that I really really dig and still go on about. To name a few -Pete Mulas - Diablo ... MJK - A Walk Amongst the Stars AND Aerosia (remix) ... OCP - Funky Munky AND Darkness AND For Danny ... Barrie Poole - A Bright New Day ... there are others I can't quite think about - tired... (worked for 10 hours today on a bathroom renovation)

The reason I brought up cash as being my problem is because, for me to work my ass for to get a result I may not be happy with by the deadline, isn't too too bad and paying isn't too too bad but it's both as a combination. I just lost my motivation to go ahead with it, although I will finish my song eventually. This way Pete can add some drums and bass to my track when he's free so he doesn't have to work his ass off twice as hard as me to get both my song parts and his song finished.

CubeI just couldn't find the leads I wanted for parts of the song. I had to struggle to get the first quarter of the song and I still have to change parts. Just lots of work to do with more expenses afterwards... too much for me at the time.

ovation1 - Actually Christian is usually responsive within a day or two, no more. I have sent him a few aswell but it's been almost a week since he's last replied. Probably just busy or out of the house for the week.

Mr Nick - Yes Vai is there as in influence. I really love the Aggro 6 demos but in the new album, the Vai influence starts to die off which I like.

OME - Menu song? It's been ages since i've been a regular poster on jemsite. What's the deal with the vote. I've so far only voted for Nick Lee.

FINALLY!! http://richardhaier.iuma.com - I got my progress so far of the song I was going to submit to the T2J cd. It's still a work in progress. There is one blank lead part, the second half is not present and there may be one part that I may change in accordance with MJK's criticism which I agree with.

Let me know what you guys think - full clip - http://richardhaier.iuma.com

Trutina - Oh the language or Mordor translation - (distant) "neeeerrrrrddd!!!"

Good guesses though. I dig.

Stu Clone - Gee thanks. I actually decreased the lead guitar volumes. They were overpowering the rhythm before today. The part at 3:45 is 3 guitars happening at once so yeah, it sounds a bit busy. There is one part, when the chorus comes in and the melody is 2 full time harmonized guitars; that part will be changed. Also there is a lot to add after 4:10. When the chorus comes in again and I repeat the intro lead guitar solo, I may change that aswell but i'm not certain. For most of the parts in that song, it is 2 guitars playing in prime harmony or harmonized by 3rds or in the intro/verse prelude, 5ths. Thanks a lot for checking it out. Feel free to play with some bass parts. I don't think i'm gonna be on the T2J album anyways. It's great to be free and learn Christian Alsing songs by ear... speaking of which http://www.christianalsing.cjb.net

Thank you very much for listening to my tune and commenting.

Stu Clone - Yes, Christian is the man. Go out of my way to try something?

Mr Nick - In the Vai picture, he's probably playing Giant Balls of Gold. He just anchors with the left hand and taps and slides with the right, Easier than it looks. I guess it's for show.

Greg M - I don't know, probably. All the songs from Alive in an Ultra World were written on a whim. It's probably my fave Vai album considering I haven't heard the other excluding all the mp3's I have. It's my fave material from Vai. --- BURNING RAIN KILLS ME! The solo in that song WOW!!!

Brymstone - I wouldn't imagine it's any different from recording with mic which I do. Just set it up in your windows settings the little yellow speaker in the bottom right.

Trutina - Those guitars are awesome. I really would like to hear the Strat. Baritone guitars are awesome and the DNA is even cooler. TWANG and THUD are awesome names man.

ranaloco - So having music released on professional record labels like Sony and Relativity don't copywrite music? Not to mention that you can read copywrite on Joe's cds? Smack your friend.

Brymstone - If you can make the March 31st deadline.

Fret Goblin - Are you serious? I haven't seen that for a while. When is it?

Lyz - Let us know when then. I'm going to have another video recorded up on my site by tomorrow. It's going to be called "Look what Paul Gilbert did to me". The name is very fitting.

Jstrat57 - Who's upside down?

Brymstone - Feel good's a pretty good track. Star Wars, Vader theme. Cool rock idea. Sounded weird in the beggining parts because the theme isn't followed exactly. It's cool.

Sharif / Matt - Well some jam ongs may be cool for some people but i'm really not digging them. I can appreciate a melody line and arrangement, as Matt said, much more. It tells more of a story and the licks that are played for the song are more for the song and less of just playing licks 'in key'.

Ethn - I heard Kryptica when I was voting for the Jemfest DVD submissions. Personally, I think the melodic/shred thing has been done and this song didn't excite me. If there's a song worth checking out, let me know.

FallenAngel - Joe's music is powerful eh? If you're going to buy ALL of Joe's cds (which is highly recommended), you very most likely find them all in one store.

TO ALL INTERESTED - There is a new video uploaded to my video site. It is called "Look what Paul Gilbert did to me". The name should be very appropriate - http://yngvaitriani.tripod.com

Michelle - Ah, that would explain why the song goes minor near the end. That song took a while to grow on me. Even when I saw Joe August '02, I wasn't deeply moved by it. Only recently in '03 did the song do something to me.

OCP - I am in awe when you get jobs like that. How do you get them!? It must have something to do with living in Florida.

Crystal Planet - All mostly the key of E minor. First starts off with a B phrygian patterned run (4 up, 4 down, 6 up, repeat on next string). Then I go into an Em7th string skipping arpeggio. Then some do some tapping but changed to Dorian as i'm using C# instead of C. Then I end off with an Em7th two octave sweep ascending and descending all the way. I'm actually not happy with the video. My hand started to give out in the latter takes. I had to accept what I already had.

If anyone wants to check my new video clip http://yngvaitriani.tripod.com/ - I'll probably replace it with a better one eventually.

Master Yoda - It's a progressive melody as opposed to just an improv'd jam. You can whistle it the whole way through.

OCP - We'll have to see if I can write anything nice and melodic like you. Come to think of it, you do play clean. Very clean. Your recordings are immaculate.

Greg M - Send that guy with the SG to my video site and tell him i'm playing a $300 guitar(blue one)... well it's used and from the 80's... but still.
