Trutina - That's awesome news man! I'll check out those tunes now.
Austin - We're such a weird bunch aren't we? OH! HAPPY 824 AUSTIN!
Anyone know how an aspiring musician can make a living until he can actually make some money playing music?
I was thinking guitar lessons but my parents are concerned that "it's not a career" ... Oh life really is starting after high school for me. After June, i'm done...

Lyz - Pushing the limits of post congrats are we?
Trutina - The thing that's cool about your playing is that you are one of the few players that is so reserved, i'd say "Hey don't be afraid to take a few more steps forward." Your songs are cool man. I dig the 2 radio play ones. I think the drumbeat in Sunshine could be half time from what you have. The guitar's a touch out of tune. Slate Bandit, another cool tune. This is the one that makes me say "step out a bit more". Needed some stronger leads but it can always be worked on.

Trutina - I've only heard about 7 of your tracks but i'm still digging Dammit Man and Kentucky Trash Masher. Trash Masher is totally unique. I love the rhythm. The 2 rhythm chords only being a semi tone apart with tha funky effect going there. I like it. I'm sure you could add some lead later on in that tune too. It sounds very full considering. Dammit Man just has this total rock feel to it and the lead offers something many don't. Practice hard, cause I wanna hear more of your ideas.

Trutina - I'll check those out.
r6r - Irony? Lost me... hand is almost done working for free for a plumbing place. It's... ok... lately but I hurt it recording my last video. The string skipping arpeggio stretches. For an album, i'll need to write a lot more songs and/or find a band. I'm not close to either.
Ovation1 - Holy cow, what a way to describe what someone's song does to you.
OCP - Thanks for the advice. How the... do you find session work? The site with my video goes on and off. Check it now. http://yngvaitriani.tripod.com

Ollyno1uk - Good covers I thought.
TechTy - Hey I liked that guitar work in that song. I thought your vocals needed more diaphragm in them. Heck, i'm not a singer either. Nice guitar playing though, I dug it.

Sharif - You guys just learning or already into it? Yeah, watch the arms and hands.
Trutina - Keep up some heavy practicing and start learning a little bit of music theory if you haven't already. I'm curious as to where your ideas will progress.

Lord of Karma6 - You would have to do some modifications to your guitar to fit the Edge. You could not just simply retro-fit the trem. I would recommend a JS1000. CyberJoe from this site has done an Edge + pickup modification to his JS100. He said it made the guitar a lot better but he still prefers his JS1000WH.

Lord of Karma6 - The route is not a difficult mod. The difficult part to making it a true Edge system is replacing the TRS trem posts with Edge trem posts. There are bushing mounted inside the body which have to be removed or installed. I've never done it, just researched it. Honestly, you would be surprised by a JS1000 if you haven't played the. You may find that it's not worth investing in your JS100. Although you may be improving your guitar, the money you spend plus a bit more could get you your dream guitar. I know it's not nice to hear because it's your guitar. I went through the same thing. Korean Ibanez to Jap. Then totally out of Ibanez. JS100's are decent guitars, although i've heard different. Korean made Ibanez have an inconsistent build quality where some finished guitar could be more than decent and others total garbage.

r6r - Man, I have to be careful with weights with that tendon advice. I can't touch anything for the time being because my tendons or something are messed up.
Clarky - Your hand too? From weights? I must have missed that post.

r6r - Not sure what it is. A doctor said it was tiny muscles in between the tendons that are stressed. I got xrays, showed nothing. It's been hurt for 9 of the worst months of my life. Both hands. Happened from lots of heavy lifting.
Mick - Zep rocks!!! Zep 1 was a powerhouse album along with 2. 3 and 4 started adding new styles of music other than rock. Some ballads, some steel guitar, some folk and folk blues. Zeppelin will never be touched. They're too good.

Plum - Thanks. Finally, over and done with. Now to get to another doctor. Walk in Clinics suck. Get ya in, get ya out. Don't know why my parents won't book an appt for me.
Ovation1 - He's not that unknown. He was known as a shredder in the 80's. Kotzen had an Ibanez sig in the 80's.

Austin - Joe played I Believe on the Flying in a Blue Dream tour.
Ovation1 - Yeah, custom, not sig. I don't think it was an Ibanez model. Just used to saying "sig". I've never heard any songs from Kotzen other than 'Things Remembered' - a bluesy song and the video you posted.
Mr Nick - Man, you have more problems than me. I just have one big problem that I can't get around. You have a whole spectrum of problems.

Ovation1 - How come http://www.richiekotzen.com/video/ is restricted? I went to the site homepage and couldn't find the video page. I then came here and found your post with the video link. Member or something?
Mr Nick - How is your brother a problem with your recording?
Lord of Karma6 - I have a Crushing Day live Bootleg.
