If anyone watches the Harmony Hut jam with Joe and Steve, Joe twice does these really wide sweep patterns. The second time he does it is one of the most panic stricken excursions I have ever seen human fingers take.

What else do I have to say? I'm glad you asked. I was looking at my feet and I realized how freaking weird feet are. Look at them!

Guitarcake - Where to get the Jam? I'm not sure now. Ask around, i'm sure it's still out there.

If you watch the SBM rehearsal video, you can see a clip of Joe playing Banana Mango. Now I want to hear Banana Mango live aswell as lots of others that i've learned are now possible.

Lord of Karma6 - I have Crushing Day live, and I even tried to send it to you once but your email address was yahoo which only allows 1mb attachments.

...

http://www.christianalsing.cjb.net - EVERYONE BUY HIS ALBUM! He is a genius. His 6 demo (mp3's available - except for one) cd is great but his debut album rips my face off. Christian Alsing is my second favourite guitar player out of anyone I have heard of.

That's TALK TO ME from the white album???????

Oh man!!

JOE - Please Please Please Please PLEASE include 'Talk to Me' on your next album and keep it just as it was. Re-record it, remaster it, whatever you do, PLEASE include it on the next album.

I must say, I love both your studio and live guitar tone and effects. The chorus effect is perfect for some of your tunes live. I would love to see some of the things from last decade brought back.

Lord of Karma6 - Is that the full clip??

OCP - I haven't played guitar for over 2 weeks. Other than very short playing periods in guitar class at school which is nothing serious. It's a very basic course. I'm there for fun I guess. My hands still aren't perfect so I won't play.

More session work. Very impressive.

Say, were you born March 26, 1982?

I'm not sure of Joe's amps back then. I know it was Marshall live. Good chance it was 6100's. Joe?

Lord of Karma6 - Alder is heavier than basswood.

Trutina - Thank you.

Engine of Dreams - Thank you.

Matt - Thanks, FF? Final Fantasy? What amp did you use for Flight of Mind bass mix? Listening now. It sounds so full and thick. I love it. The middle part of that song still sounds too thick though. I can't figure out what it is.

OCP - Thanks, I never would've imagined someone saying that in return.

Olly - Thanks a lot for checking the tune out.

Ovation - Thanks for checking my tune out. I haven't been into guitar for a little over a month so I didn't much care how it all turned out. I was having problems with my PC "popping" while I was recording so it throws tracks off sync. It was either that or my lack of effort. Thanks man.

FabLawyer - Very kind words, thanks man. I'm not totally sure what you mean by my own material. The only song on that site that isn't mine is Hordes of Locusts which is audio extracted from video of a live performance I did. Let me know when you have something for listening up.

GuitarGoose - Thanks for checking the tune out.

Alexandrecaetano - Thanks for checking.

Alexandrecaetano - I think your song, The Waves of Life is excellent. I like your writing.

Matt - Cool video. I remember you played that for me a lot better over a year ago.

Lord of Karma6 - I have a video of myself playing Hordes of Locusts live if you care.

Ronnie - Checking your stuff out now.

Pete - Thanks. I almost never write full tunes. The one tune I actually have finished I never actually finished. Where will the tune go next? I have a bunch of contemporary song ideas (contemporarily written with ...Village...) to get on iuma.

Fret Goblin - Honestly, I think at least half the guitar players from this site can play any of Kirk's solos from the album. He's not BAD, he just sounds amateurish to me compared to other metal guitarists. I don't dig much of his solos.

Cube - Not that I condone flaming on this board but, HAHAHAHA!

Matt - I have jammed with Pete once over... over something. He smoked me.

Mick87 - Thanks. I get the Italian comment a lot. It's just I - V harmonic minor.

FabLawyer - This music is excellent! The guitar playing is very impressive. Chordal Articulation, rhythm/lead solo playing. WOW. Dead accurate shred. Interest ideas.

C minor Prelude by Roy might be the most insane guitar playing i've ever heard.

Mr Nick - It's an electric guitar through clean channel.

Ya Yo - That's real playing. Not altered. It may not be one take though.

FabLawyer - That band really does rock man and Roy should be known just as well as any of the big time shredders around. He actually did something with the technique. His phrasing around each chord change and the reality of the playing. It does not sound perfect or processed. Real fingers and real strings. Did he compose that??

Lord of Karma - I have the video. It's 31mb and takes about 35 minutes for me to upload via icq or msn or aim or whatever you may use seeing you are using high speed.

Cube - Wavetwisters... see now that you've shown me that, i'm going to step outside (12:30am) and kill the first living thing I see, excuse me.

I am also gonig to notice, in that guitar piece, C minor Prelude, right at 1:14, 1:15 point, there is 2 guitars playing at the same time for a split second.

Cube - Because I can't actually imagnie being positively entertained from that. THat and becuase it's so stupid.

Before the second show, Buckethead (while not in character) showed me a guitar he was especially fond of; he was about to use it on a recording project with Shawn Lane and he was very excited about it. During the show, while in character, Bucket became agitated and destroyed the guitar. Afterward in the dressing room I saw him regarding the torn and forlorn instrument as though someone else had performed this dastardly act, slowly shaking his head and saying "...no...no..." I pretty much knew then that he was a remarkable person.

MK: You're in Guns 'n Roses now -- I'm curious to know what led up to this intriguing development. How did you hook up?

B: There was this Leatherface doll that Spencers-type stores put out, it's pretty large and puffy, it was on the top of the list. Didn't receive it from the family. Got invited to Axl's on Christmas night; never met him before. Sad about not getting the doll but it is ok, but still sad. Get to Axl's, he presents this box wrapped up. The Michael Myers version has been out for a while, knew it was the same box. Figured it was Michael Myers and opened it up. There was Leatherface. In the brain joined that second.

Ya Yo - Friedman an Ibanez?? Wow. New album?

Miguel - Edge and Lo Pro, same deal. American basswood vs Asian basswood. One is supposed to be slightly denser. Joe likes the denser one. I have heard that both American and Asian is the denser wood so i'm not sure which it is.

Polyrhythms? - One word: Messhuggah.

...wow the T2J cd made www.satriani.com news section.

I don't see Clarky's or Matt's name on the contributor section.

Amp selection makes or breaks a Metal Zone. Tip: Don't play through a Fender amp. Super clean (Fender amp) + Super crunchy (MT-2) = piercy, scratchy.

Slanshroom - Yeah, kickass playing man. Were those sweeped arpeggios in C minor Prelude done in one take? That's some of the fastest, widest, oddly timed arpeggios i've ever heard. Not that speed is what I look for...
