WEBMASTER: Is there any way of putting the most recent post on the first page in t2j? Instead of having to go to the end of the 20 something pages to post? Just a thought............

I prefer the old way though, there's far too many messages here though. 516 or so. I think the 4 hour post rule should be in this area like the old one. So that i can't type messages like this one, 25 minutes after my last. lol

I'm startin to get used to this site now, the only thing I would like to see, along with other people as well, is to have a button of some sort to fly to the messages that Joe has posted. Maybe a pulldown menu of the pages he posted on. It's kind of a hassle to go through all the pages to see if he's posted or not. Although it's almost like christmas every day!!!! Looking for that special present.

I was just thinkin' about something when I read the post above mine......to be called a virtuoso............wow. That is really amazing. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, both guitar Virtuosos,. Martha Argerich, Tamas Vasary both piano virtuosos. These 4 people amaze me. To have essentially mastered their respective instruments so that they can do anything they desire. If they hear something in their head, the play it. Not too many of you guys around, hehe. Well done.

What's the deal with the album not being released in Canada until September? Is there a mistake? It says worldwide release on June 25 at the start of satriani.com. I don't understand this, and I'm not really too happy about it. Someone explain please.

It's good to be back. The computer is in proper working order finally. Hopefully I'll post more frequently. The emotional times around the house have subsided, the fighting has essentially stopped. Things are back to normal now.

Well folks, I've died and gone to heaven. Yes that's right. I know you were all thinking the same thing I was. I played the most remarkable instrument today. Ready? A Steinway Concert grand piano...................the one used at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. It costs $165,000!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 9 feet long and it plays like a dream. I couldn't believe how amazing it was to have that at my fingertips. Absolutely unreal sound. So rich and full of bass but the upper keys were like pearls falling onto the strings. It was perfect. You really couldn't find a better piano.

Austin - Those lessons have been there for a while if you didn't know already. Scales and Soloing, and Chords and Arpeggios I believe.

I was gonna copy and paste a small clip of a human hearing article that discussed the range which is 20 - 20,000 hz. But that's all been set straight before. well done ibztone. lol

WEBCAST!! Nice........can't wait for that one.

Well my finger is messed up right now. I was paddling in dragonboat and I jammed my right 5th finger between the paddle and the gunnel/side of boat. It's all bruised and swollen and I got an x-ray today and the doctor told me that I cracked the tip of it and I can get a splint if I want. So now I'm trying to type here with a big metal sleeve over my finger. It ain't easy!

My piano exam is cancelled now, and everything is messed up. 5 weeks to totally heal.

I still don't like the new T2J section. I find it way too hard to navigate around. Is there any way to get to the last page of posts without cycling through every 20 or posting a new message? For some reason my computer chose not to have some messages set as unread.

That's all ladies and gents.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I have made the 2nd largest purchase of my life today...........my very first vehicle. A 1984 Yamaha Maxim. Yes that's right, a motorcycle. I bought it off of one of my friends who graduated a few years ago from high school. Bought it for $1,000, half the price of my JS 1000. I think I just realized the quality of that instrument now, when I can buy a fully functional vehicle for half the price. hehe. CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Man oh man, times are rough right now. Things were going so well lately. I got a motorcycle, then my motorcycle license, then a girlfriend................all the while my grandma is in the hospital very ill, and today at 3:32 PM while in paleative care, my grandma's life ended. I'll be playing the piano for her one final time, at her funeral. She always loved it when I played. I think I'm playing either Nocturne in Eb major, or Prelude in Db major. Both by Chopin. Take care everyone.

Thanks everyone for your condolences and blessings. The funeral is going to be on Friday. I have decided to play a slightly shortened version of Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat Major. When my family came over to my place last week after my grandma collapsed, I played that for my grandpa, and although he doesn't have much of a short term memory, he knows his Chopin, and all I could hear was him singing along with what I'm playing. The singing wasn't all that great though, lol, but not too shabby for someone who's 87 years old.

Been a long time yet again since I've posted here. KDA - Not sure if you know, but Sleep Walk is a cover that joe played on the album. I'm not sure who wrote it originally, it's one of a few names I've got in my head but not sure which one. Anyhoo, not too much going on over here. Getting all ready for my 2 week trip to Rome in September for the World Dragonboat Championships! We got an anti - doping package which lists substances that are illegal in the competition. Man oh man, 32 pages of illegal substances! Tylenol and cough syrups are the only ones that caught my eye when I glanced at it. Anyway, I'll hopefully drop by more often. Take it easy. later folks.

Hey everybody, I just got my final motorcycle license today! I'm so excited! I walked my bike to the community center by my house, and rode around the lot for like 30 minutes, then rode it back to my house, even though I wasn't supposed to. My dad gave me "special" permission, it's only because I'm 3 doors down from the building. My bike hasn't been insured, certified, and it doesn't have plates on it either, so if I got caught, I was certainly in the wrong. lol.

Joe - If it makes you feel any better, I'll give you my JS 1000 and wrap it in tin foil to give it that chome "esque" look. No good? Sorry, you know we all wish we could do something about this, but unfortunately unless the guitar is sitting under our noses we probably won't run into it. You guys have a better chance of finding it than I do I think. Good luck.

Joe - I am very impressed by what you said you had done at the Tabernacle. You really are true and giving to your fans. It seems as though whatever we try to give you as appreciation for your music, you give back to us ten fold with everything else. You just seem to go that extra mile for your fans and we all appreciate it. Great job, hope you find Pearly soon and take some Buckley's! It tastes awful (ohhhhhhhhhh man does it EVER taste awful!!!!!) but it works. Later folks.

What a great show last night! Joe - Glad to hear you liked the cd. We tried to get a picture of ourselves as a cd cover in there, but our schedules didn't quite agree. Thanks very much for talking to us for so long. It meant a lot. I was freaking out last night. lol. Anyway, this could be my last post for about 2 weeks. I'm flying to rome in about 11 hours for 1 week of dragonboating, and 1 week after for touring! So long everybody, and thanks again Joe.

Hey everyone!!!!! I'm back from Europe now. Landed on Sunday night. It was amazing. We placed 7th, 10th, and 11th in the world. We were beat by mainly eastern europeans. German, Russia, Czechs all those countries. It was so inspiring paddling past the crowd when they cheer "GO CANADA GO" and we look up and see the Canadian flag blowing in the wind. It brought a tear to my eye during the race. In the 2nd week of europe I went to Switzerland for 2 days and went mountain biking down the Alps! It was tons of fun, I can't describe it on here.
