JOE, my man, its been many years I been waiting for you to come close enough to Texas to see you live!!!
Well. I thought finally for the Colossal tour it was going to happen, it didn't, as usual, my life interupted and I couldn't go.
I heard you rocked Austin last year.
Well..... I was already slated to be in Las Vegas this year this week, when I found out your playing here at the HOB I flipped!!!
I got tix and dude, Im gonna try and get as close to the stage as possible!!!! If you happen to read this look for the crazy fool wearing the San Antonio Spurs shirt and hat tommrow night because thats me, Jeremy from Tx who had to come all these miles to finally see you.
Im also pumped to get to see Paul and John as well.
Cheers, looking forward to a great show.
Jeremy From San Antonio.

this probably aint the right place for it, but oh well
g3 07, in a nutshell, saw the Vegas House Of Blues Show
F'ing A man!!!
good god those guys were having too much fun, they really were, Paul Gilbert went up first, he owned, then it was John Petrucci time, he owned, but.....
Satch took the show. They started off with One Big Rush. Dude I was pumped, thats one of my favs. I figured he would only play two or three songs, well..... lets see if I can remember it all, I was so excited its hard to keep it all straight in my head right now.
After One Big Rush, and the order of songs may not be entirely right, Im still a bit buzzed too hehe
Ice 9, Satch Boogie, Surfing with the Alien, Circles, Crowd Chant, The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, Flying in a Blue Dream, and then Always with me, Always with you. I might be leaving one or two out, lets just say they all kicked major @$$.
On the outro of Always with me, Always with you a second guitar started up and Petrucci joined him from the right of the stage, then a few mins later still in the outro Gilbert arrived from the left. That was too friggin cool.
Once they got the G3 jam going, it was Foxy Lady and some cool Hendrix action, followed by Im going down, a G3 jam classic from the first one and finally Jumping Jack Flash.
Yep, these guys owned all the way around. Im sorry Im cutting things short, still buzzed and need sleep ;)
Oh, really quickly, the Ibanez guitars report, Satch used a Js1000 in white, a JS2PRM, a Js1200 and the JS whatever it is Super Colossal paintjob guitar.
Gilbert had some white RGish double neck guitar in white with his Signature painted F-holes, and then a Cool RFR RG body that appeared to be an RG550 one, but it had a rosewood and sharktooth inlaid neck, looked like a Franken Ibanez of some sorts with all sorts of stickers on it and mismatch colored pickups, black and white and creme colored to be exact.
Sorry, no other Ibanez guitars graced that stage. Side note, Galen Henson the Rythm guitarist actually had a few Sz's if Im remembering right now.
Well, thats all I should write for now I guess.
Cheers all, go see this show if you still can, these three on stage together should be Illegal.

im still pinching myself that i was no more than 25 feet from the amazing satch and his beautiful guitar work, crazy aint it
now i finally understand what folks have always said that its taken to a whole new level when you witness his guitar wizardy firsthand, boy Im definately going to try and catch this dude live again at somepoint in the future, I just got home from my Vegas trip and I have some very Jealous friends now who still don't believe me that I saw him, even with my ticket stub to prove it :D
Thanks Joe, didn't get to meet ya but it was well worth the long trip to see you.

hey audio jimbo, your daughter wasnt the only one that showed up like that, i seen a few where i saw joe
hehehe i actually thought wow, could i crowd surf like in the middle of alien or something.... yep I've done alot of that at several ozzfests and a ton of other punk shows, so much fun, your so right, total different type of crowd, it would be the coolest thing to be the first to crowd surf while joe was playing surfing with the alien, to my knowledge not sure if anyones ever crowd surfed at a joe show at all, thats a question i have reserved to ask him if i ever get a shot at meeting him eventually, god I would love to be the first, im crazy enough to do it too, IMHO the musics perfect enough for it, it has to be high energy, yep, no moshing though, just surfing, moshing sux when your a lil guy like me
yep, i sure as hell would crowd surf though during the alien
then I could officially change my name to "I really surfed with the Satch man"
that would be cooler beans than any autograph to be the first hehe
kinda mad at myself that I didn't attempt it, dont think it was the right venue though hehe
;)

@ michelle, thanks for sharing that, i been saying all along it should have been illegal to allow those 3 on the same stage together, this confirmed it, no offense meant Joe, your great as always but the addition of Paul was what really made this g3 great

@satriella, as soon as they arrive in the mail you will be the first to know his reaction, hes going to flip over that sketch, i know it, BTW be safe on the train that late, I would hate to never hear from you again :( if i lived closer I would go with ya, to see Paul of course but more importantly so you would have a bodyguard, hehe yea right with my build some bodyguard hehe, and someone needs to keep you from running at the stage and ooops, i probably need to be quiet hehe, sorry about that, I wont tell promise
@michelle, yea I was quite happy Stevie wasn't going to be there and it was Paul instead, dudes a total trip aint he, Sandy's gonna love seeing him, Vais cool and all but I think the variety factor is a good thing, of course if theres ever a G3 without Satch whats the point in going right???? :)
@shredguy, I agree, a gun is a tool nothing more nothing less, someone has to physically load it, physically discharge it, they don't do that by themselves, we could completely outlaw them, but man has devised many other ways of killing each other long before guns, I could go beat the crap out of someone with my barehands, are we going to outlaw hands and cut everyones off thier arms..... doubtful
anyhow
@ everyone else, good morning, have a nice day
@ kayla who seems to be MIA at the moment.....
when you ran and hid from me the other day I didn't think it woudl be for this long :(

@ zen
Im very well aware this is not an Ibanez forum, I just asked a simple question, sorry
on the same note, with the 20th Vai model just coming out and the 20th Rg's as well its been floating around what Joe and Ibanez are up to, he did that interview a while back on him and Ibanez being up to something and a few of us are excited about the possibility of that maybe being the JS 20th anniversary, if they do a production 7 string JS thats going to be the shiznit, 20 years is just around the corner ;) since the first JS1's
