well said cuth

sadly just up the road an hour the UT incident of 66 where Charles Whitman did all that shooting from Clock tower is partly considered the reasons for the birth of the modern Swat team, back then they had nothing like that and the incident could have been far less deadly if they had

its a sad fact of life but mans been killing one another since the dawn of time and you just have to accept it

I say just live the best life you can, be good to others, dont lie cheat and steal and in theory good things happen to you, its all about faith

@ lord.... no man, never used any m audio stuff, been thinking about getting myself a digitech multieffects pedal or something, the new ones have the USB connectivity, i just screw around on the guitar for fun these days, its more of a hobby when i have the time, i would like to record some stuff maybe at somepoint, im just too cheap to break down and get the stuff i need for it

@cheese..... thanks for sharing the pictures, those guys were having way too much fun this tour, hint hint, do it again soon, really soon, same lineup is fine by me, IMHO the best trio you've lined up Joe since its inception

@kayla..... I hope your power was back when your friend got there, i guess I should ask if she ever did show up, I know you were excited about that, couldn't even play electric guitar without the electricity :( grrr

@satriella.... did you get my email and the links, i hadn't forgotten them and kept my promise, sorry i was late in sending it though, nothing in the real mail yet either from across the pond :( my grandmother used to say, when all you have is a bunch of lemons in front of you, just make lemonade damnit, well she was a pretty smart gal, i hope you can find your way soon back to the sandy we all know and love

@nj..... used to do BF, its COD2 usually these days, i can always install it again though ;)

@everyone else....... have a great day everyone

@ joe and company, rest up, get your euro gigs out of the way and cook something up for the states again :) (in my best kayla voice, preeeeeety pweaseeeeeeee) :) and you have to obey, shes got a cute voice ;)

@ibanezalt...... firstly cool name, secondly hi welcome, thirdly as it was pointed out to me yesterday....

heres a repost of what cuth said to me

Your respect for Joe and Joe's forum is to be praised....generally, the discussion is Joe, music, and other related items. However, as Joe himself states in his description of the forum, the intent was to be a free-form stream of consciousness.

When you go to other places to discuss such hot button issues, you encounter closed minds on both sides. You are either preaching to the choir or flaming/being flamed.

Here, we all have one thing in common. A love of Joe's music. I think this commonality lends to more civility and open-mindedness than one generally encounters, especially on the web.

This is certainly the best board on the planet.

Before I am accused of being closed-minded on the issue, rest assured that is not the case. I am closed minded about one thing, that logic would prevail in discourse and that justice prevail in government. Sadly, these are both becoming more and more rare.

Edit: Okay, I guess that is actually two things ;?)

Respectfully submitted.

cuth

now that was a reply to the Vt campus nightmare going on and the mention of guns was brought up etc... you can go back a few pages to see all of that.....

as you can see this boards sort of a catch all for everyone so yea, stick around, interesting folk around here

some pretty cute members around here.... I wonder whom I refer too hehehe, some philosopically types it seems and one guys posts random wierd stuff that I have yet to figure it out....

anyhow, I did see Joe, Paul and John this G3, it was the bestest show I've seen in a good long while, and I used to be a live show junkie, worked for the local ampitheater in the orchestra pit, and also stupid Austin an hour up the road didn't help in my early drinking age years :) yes Im spoiled to being up front, seats in a venue SUCK, MSG to JOE and staff, shame on you for booking any Venues with seats up front, standing room only is best hehe, and also works with my wish to Crowd Surf to the Alien, Im gonna do it damnit, Ive decided that to be my lifes mission hehe :)

well, im tired, just got home from work and feel yucky, so Im gonna go but welcome aboard!

@satriella!!!! Thanks for the email reply, hopefully the real mail will contain something special, many many thanks again for that!

Good night everyone, or should I say good morning :)

aww sandy, dont say such things, you remind me of this cool quote Im aware of...

”A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.” Bernard Meltzer

so even if ya do fall and make a mess we all will still love ya, right guys? and we will definately clean up the mess, it would be rude to leave it like that, a real friend wouldn't do that

staven? what bridge you got on your JS100? is it an Ibanez LO TRS II, i hope not, if so consider swapping it, that LO TRS II on the older ones sucks big time, they will not last that long if your whammy abuser

jury is still out on the edge pro 2 and edge III although my edge III RG is holding up nicely

anyhow, just a heads up from a fellow ibanez nut

SANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its here Its here!!!!!!!!!

I opened up the box and theres this big white envelope with a Royal Airmail postmark on it...... I was so happy, then I pulled it out of the box..... woah, this is heavier and thicker than I anticipated....

So I ran upstairs to get my letter opener, very carefully slit it open because I was worried about the contents inside and woah, out falls this stack of paper, so I go and pick it up and....

ITS A FRIGGING CALENDER OF ALL OF SANDYS JOE DRAWINGS!!!!!!!

What a neat and totally unexpected surprise!!!!! THANKS A GAZILLION!!!! theres not enough hugs I can send for that lil surprise, its hanging up next to my uber cool Darth Vader 07 Calender, yes Im a starwars fanatic too hehehe

On with the show.... well now you say your drawings of children is not so great.... BS, this is perfect, its 50 thousand times better in person on real paper than what your webshots can portray, wow!!!!! Hes going to be very happy with this. Sadly my Frame guys closed on the weekends so it has to wait until Monday, now I thought this was a smaller picture so I might have to change frames, but.... I saw another one that I liked so its a tough call, cut this down to size or matte this one, I'll have to consult with this guy, hes a damn good custom framer.

Im sorry for this long posting folks, but this wonderful person has graciously drawn me a picture of one of my best friends children. Hes going through a nasty divorce and custody battle right now and from our perspective, this woman is nuts and has no buisness having her kids period, but... the courts seem to favor mothers until proven otherwise, sadly this guys hardly gotten to see his newborn son because she pulled all this BS on him 6 months pregnant, the inital judge threw the book at him grrr

anyhow, its a long story but the womans full of shit and my mom and i are trying hard to fight for these kids to be placed back with my friend and his parents, my Mom basically told this woman she had no buisness with the kids when she witnessed several near misses with thier first child and was afraid to leave her alone with this woman. My Mom says once a Mother, always a Mother even when its not her own kids.

So unfortunately, this woman will have my best friends kids on fathers day this year, it will be his first without his daughter and hes never had a chance to be with his son on fathers day. This drawing of the two kids although not the real deal I hope will help lift his spirits that day as I plan to give it to him as a fathers day gift. I found a cool frame that says, we love you daddy. Its perfect.

Sandy, you have made me one happy person because I think this is perfect, I have made mention if I owe you anything for the postage or the paper and pencil, but you've completely ignored me, Im going to assume this is a freebie, so thanks, thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is the exact reason why you were so full of you know what a few days ago when you said alot of the nonsense you said, the exact reason why I scolded you and said stop it.

Cool stuff.

My apologies to anyone having to scroll past this but.... I wanted to convey this to Sandy and because I can't thank her in person I wanted to do the best I could with words.

Again, many thanks. The Joe Calender is super cool too.

Cheers

Sincerely Jeremy G. Wills

I was running out of characters in the other posting.

Sandys fab recreation of the original photo for comparison

Shes awesome, this drawing is so good, a wonderful recreation.

Don't you ever say for minute young lady your drawings are not that great, never ever ever again.

What do you all think?

Cheers everyone, this is so made my day, Im almost half tempted to keep this for myself. If you haven't figured out, I love this kids to death. Hey, lil Chloe calls me her unca Germy, its so cute when she does that hehehe.

In fact they are on thier way to Oklahoma to get her, this is his week to have little Chloe, im so happy, my Chloemiester is coming to town, yea, her Uncle Jeremy has a cool surprise for her too. She loves those Dum Dum lolipops and I got her the big bag, shes gonna have her own stash.

Bye now.
