@ roffler, surprise surprise hehe, I should have known it was a JS, me and joes neck just dont get along, I love the wizard, yep im a shredhead at heart, I would opt for an old Radius if I ever wanted that body shape for the Wizard or Ultra neck they came with...

@ sandy, your very welcome, see thats 3 words, your way too hard on yourself, its great, and yes, i did post for comparison, its just perfect. thats 3 words too

@ everyone else, have a great sunday

@nomad..... Those are ok for the most part. Its an MF/GC exclusive, and Im not always quick to tout thier services. More of a personal rant with thier buisness, anyhow. The jury is out on the edge III, I recently was shown this.... and makes me think twice the the bridge in my guitar... grrrr broken edge iii and thats not the only case Im aware of with an edge III snapping its knife plate like that :( ouch.......

ok, with that said I have an edge III equipped guitar and its given me zero problems, but i also dont try and use superhuman force to tighten stuff down, just get it snug and its been fine, so its all in the setup, now honestly, for the most part all the RG's are made in Indonesia now and are basically the same guitar. Its all cosmetics really and you can get the RG350DX, MDX, and EX or the RG370DX, DXGP1, and DXGP2, for less money and have the same guitar, same specs, same exact sound characteristics, so its all about asthetics.

If you want to spend anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks more for the cheap body binding and a thin fake quilted veneer at guitar center, go ahead because thats all thats different with thier exclusives. hope the info helps, don't expect it to be prefect either, ibanez indo isn't know for thier wonderful fret work sometimes and the setup is usually just throw strings on it and ship it out... your gonna probably have to get some allen wrenches out if you wanna make a decent player out of it..... if you do buy good luck.... I love my 350DX but.... I have had to work at it to get it playing great, and its still a Wizard II neck, remember that :) RG370DX same basic guitar, for a lot less, and availabe at any Ibanez dealer, not just GC/MF, just food for thought unless you really dig the look of the quited one, then go for it, your money and you have to play it, not me. best of luck

cheers jeremy

@ sandy.... i think paul will be proud, drag it along and show it to him, dudes super cool and he wont bite... get it autographed, you know you wanna :)

its good sandy, great first attempt at him.... do the one with all the hair now :) hehehe

in fact, hunt all these guys down and get them autographed, im sure they would all be flattered, make a calendar of a mix of your drawings that would be fab, or get with Joe's marketing folks and sell them calendars like you sent me at the merch booths at Joes future shows, you can tour along and sell em, what would be cooler than that.... well Im single no kids so... I guess I'll have to man that booth for ya ;)

@everyone else..... with all the talk of beer yesterday.... check this out.... funny stuff She wants her Drink Money (warning some foul lang, you been warned)

@nomad, alot of times these el cheapo guitars can be greatly improved tone wise by adding in some better pickups, those INF ones are not all that great, sufficient but not anything to write home about, just look at the chap here with the new 7 string pickup, I thought his sound clip was pretty good...

unless the looks are just absoloutely something you can't live without, opt for the cheaper looking guitar and spend the money on some better pickups, YMMV of course but a flamed or quilted imitation veener is not adding anything toneally to the sound like a real map cap would... my 2 cents

good luck, hit up your guitar center and see if they have some of these models side by side, you will see what i mean once you have a side by side comparision just how identical they really are

@surfmo...

yep seen those 3 fools in Vegas, it was a trip, should have been against some sort of law or something letting them all on the stage together, IMHO the best incarnation of the g3 yet...

I would love to see Paul and someone else go out next time, actuallly I been thinking of just who that third person should be... Gambale comes to mind, that could be super cool, Im sure Joe will find someone worthwhile the next time around.

Just bring the party to Tejas please :)

@ LORD, yep Media Center is a funny beast, sort of a Bastiage hybrid MS operating system, theres a whole ton of other programs in all various categories that dont work with it either.... im afraid your SOL on this one, sorry bud, but your going to have to dump MCE for an XP flavor, Im also having a hell of a time sometimes like you because Im on the 64 bit flavor of XP, same BS, I dont see why they can't include support for the various flavors of XP :(

you can go Vista maybe, but, check the M audio help pages, theres quite a few folks saying no joy with MCE and I was just looking around it and didnt see any workarounds or anything, Im afraid your getting the shaft on this one if you want the PC compatibilites

sorry bud, best of luck with getting an alternate OS, I hope you dont use MCE like its supposed to be using, or you're in a bad spot if you need the MCE functions

sucks too, M audio makes wonderful stuff, I have a buddy that built a MCE HTPC with an M Audio Revolution sound card and the surround just flat out kicks ass with his setup, im sure thier products geared towards Musicians are just as good, theres just no ASIO support it seems in MCE, :( yuck

edit, actually, see this.... you are sol, so sorry....

somone said linux, brings tears to my eyes :)

i run fedora core on one of my computers to run Stanford Universities Folding at Home Project.... it runs laps around the Winders flavor, utilizes SMP and makes better usage of my Dual Core cpu

sorry bud, hes right MCE sux for the most part as its a typical bastiage MS os

it is nice for HTPC though :)
