in the liner notes of the joe satriani anthology he says that the song Devil's Slide is the name of a snowboarding run. Does anyone know were that is?? What about you, Joe?

Does Joe's signature Ibanez guitar have a Floyd Rose tremolo system? I couldn't really tell by looking at the pictures. Just wondering

Joe: I know that John Petrucci will be on the Japan G3 tour this year, but are there any plans of an upcoming U.S. G3 tour with John Petrucci?? As you can tell I am a huge fan of the guy and to see my three favorite guitarists all onstage together would be a dream come true! Pleeease let me know

Joe: I have a great suggestion: Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme on the G3 tour!! Keep it in mind...

Cliff: My cousin has the guitar wars dvd imported from Japan. I recently watched it and it is awesome! Nuno gives a mind-blowing performance of "Midnight Express", a song he played in his Extreme days, Paul Gilbert is amazing as always, and John Paul Jones is great on three different instruments (bass, mandolin, lap steel). Be sure to watch the encore to see Nuno on drums...

The answer is probably no, but does anyone know if Ventura Theater allows cameras? I'll be seeing Joe there tomorrow, April 8th.

WOW!! What a show last night! I too was amazed by Searching, along with Morrocan Sunset, Always With Me, Always With You, and others. This has been a truly great experience for me...it was my first Satch concert and I was wearing a red Surfing With The Alien shirt.

BTW, does anyone know the name of the song that Joe played right after Always With...? I didn't recognize it, though it was incredible...maybe it was just a jam??

brother al- it was great! By the end of the song he was doing all sorts of guitar trickery with the whammy, feedback, and all the other crazy stuff he does with effects and such. I forget if it was this song or another one when he had so much sustain and control over it that I thought he was using an eBow...turns out he wasn't.

Also, he saved Surfing with the alien and Friends for the encore. Everyone in the house was standing up cheering and rocking out!

Hi all...sorry i haven't been on in a while...i had 2 get a new keyboard.. Steven Wilde: Glad you're back...I don't even know you but I was gettin' worried for you... seeing you as such a big fan, I feel like I know you...

cheese 101: Great review of the Ventura show!!! Seems like you had just as much fun as me...awesome, wasn't it?

michelle: I bought John Petrucci's solo album a while ago and it didn't totally meet my expectations...however, iDO feel that it was worth it, but I prefer his work in LTE and Dream Theater...

...Nighty-night... :)

cheese 101: I was sitting one seat away from the aisle to the left of the sound booth. I was sitting next to my guitar teacher- he had greyish hair, glasses, two sons, ages 13 and 10... I was wearing a red Surfin' with the Alien t-shirt... I jumped to my feet and started cheering as soon as I heard the opening arpeggios of "Always With Me, Always With You"...

Nuno could kick the crap out of Dave Navarro any day!!...

At this point I wish to retract a previous statement concerning Mr. John Petrucci's solo album. I believe I said that it didn't meet my expectations. Upon further review of the track "Jaws of Life", I have determined that it ROCKS!!! Maybe you need to listen to it twice to fully apreciate it...It was the same with Three Sides to the story by Extreme for me...

Is anyone else sitting in front of the computer playing guitar, and if so, what are you playing?? I'm playing More Than Words by Extreme...

Suzie 2000: Very true. Forgive me- I am just REALLY biased ;)

962: Indeed, III Sides and Pornograffiti are great musical acheivements. I think one of the reasons why I like Nuno and John Petrucci so much is their wide variety. Nuno shows that he can go from jazzy to funky to balladic to rockin' all in one great album...

Master Yoda: Sorry about your bad experience. It's things like that that cause my aversion to performing in front of many people...

Brother Al: At least the money will be worth the laughs- Is it just me or does seeing an obese egotistical Swedish guy in tight leather pants spin his guitar around his neck (over and over and over and over...) and kick in the air so that his fat jiggles make you laugh? I read that he thinks he is graceful! lol :)

I'd like to send out a big thanks to Louis Bettencourt...Nuno was a jock growing up until his brother Louis introduced him to the guitar... Can you imagine watching Nuno play football instead of listening to his awesome music??Would life have a purpose??lol

I'll be sure to check out that js/steve vai website once I get the time...homework sucks, doesn't it??
