Benny: That's one cool name! And yeah, I remember Anibur explaining her name on the old T2J. Hey maybe next we'll get talking about palindromes!

Kinger: No of course not! We're from the same town after all ;-) NoWaySis NoWaySis NoWaySis :>

njbeast: this page has the Crush Of Love MIDI & TAB on it. You can get your computer to play the backing track through a sequencer. Hope this helps, Dave

Nick: Me personally? Or in general? What you could do is load it into a sequencer or your midi player, and record it say to tape or minidisc. Then record it back into the computer and burn the CD from there. The main drawback / limitation is that you're totally dependent on the quality of your soundcard's MIDI instruments.

What I like to do is load it into the sequencer, record the real guitars over the top (within the sequencer) and then master to DAT and/or CD from there.

Nick: once you have it on your computer you can burn it to CD, but MIDI & audio are two very different things - you wouldn't be able to play it on a domestic player until you've converted the MIDI information into audio information.
I checked the file and yes - it has the melody line in it too, so you'd need some kind of MIDI software to mute the melody, leaving the backing track intact underneath.
Also. I checked my copy of The Extremist and the track listing looks fine to me :-/

Cheers, Dave

EDIT: I muted the melody line and saved the file to my site. You can get it here. Also, I converted the MIDI into audio with my sequencer (unfortunately with shitty instrument sounds) and get you can the MP3 here. The MIDI file is tiny, but the MP3 is just over 3.5MB, so be warned! Enjoy...

Mr Nick: try it again - muted the melody track but it seems to have un-muted itself ROFL. This time I delete it so it's *definitely* not there ;-) Later, Dave

Before the retaliation comes in, guitarzbabe I have nothing to say about your comment - I'm pretty sure the girls were playing about and meant nothing but love (OK maybe desire, but that's not my department), but.... I have to admit I found "needless_killer_99"'s post earlier today very offensive. Sorry, I guess his/her name is hunter or something, but it pissed me off and it upset me. Hey, I'm only human after all, and I *do* give a shit. Ah, well it takes all kinds after all. Live and let live, I guess. :-/

OK guys, I said before that my mum is hitting the US tomorrow. She had a heart attack late last year, and officially she's not allowed to fly. If you meet an old English (but young at heart!) girl in Georgia, LA, LV, or (especially) New Orleans in the next two weeks, please look after her, ok? Thanks guys.... Dave

Speaking of grammar lessons, surely you meant "speak my piece", and not "speak my peace"? What's it like up on that high horse? It takes all sorts, why not just live and let live? You're not impressed with this, I'm not impressed with that, somebody else is probably not impressed with something else. Who cares? Congrats on voicing your opinion (which you are surely entitled to!), but who nominated you T2J Police anyway? :-/ Telling somebody what kind of jokes they can tell is a little high-and-mighty, don't you think?

I just played The Forgotten Part I. It's lovely.

He asked where the money is, I said I'd check my bank account. I lied ;-)

WOW had a great trip to the park with my kids today! We met lots of other people with their kids! It was grrrreat! :-))))) Now mine are crashed out at the top of the stairs! Knackered! Usually we only go for half an hour or so, but today we were there for over an hour. Such a great day, and even better now that the weather ain't so damn hot!

So, anyway, JOE: did you play Time Machine on a Telecaster? And has someone nicked your Powerbook? Hope you're (or is it your :>) enjoying the tour! Later, Dave

Yeah, but Austin: we're addicts! We'll buy everything!!!! I don't care about the quality - the people who saw the webcast (me excluded) raved about it, so I guess it can't be that bad..... I'd buy it anyway, so that's reason enough ROFL

Enjoy your weekend guys... I have a spicy garlic pizza on the way!!! Later, Dave

Yeah but when you say your thing, your item, your point worthy of note, you say your piece.. You don't say your "stoppage of suffering" or your "absence of war". Piece - like pie, yes. Peace - like inner contentment; serenity, no. Knowledge of English is cool. Knowing how to use a dictionary is part of that coolness ;-) ...but at the same time, if English is your first language, you really don't have an excuse ;-)

And on another note.... Questions are a burden, answers are a prison to oneself.

Who asked about Time Machine and Teles (apart from me)? Well, there's no whammy, it sounds really "back pickupy" and "single coily", and once I saw Joe do that track live on TV with a Tele. Was just wondering if the studio version was a Tele too.
