The only thing I can think of is to find out which firewall they use and then do a search on google for circumvention / bypassing that particular program (assuming it's a software firewall - if it's a hardware one then you're probably gonna be knackered anyway). Some programs have holes in them - maybe other people have found out where those holes are ;-).

Oh man isn't The Traveler (sic) one hell of a wonderful tune?

I just had a really promising conversation with a guy who looks after dogs for a living.... maybe I'm gonna be a member of the working ratrace type thing again soon... fingers crossed :-)

hey YaYo and el heavy.... pitch axis is a wonderful thing! and what you guys have said so far is pretty close to what it is and how it works..... of course I don't know personally what Joe's favourite scales are, but in the past I've read that lydian and phrygian dominant (ring any bells?!?!?! LOL) are among them.... man! music's great, isn't it?! It can make you laugh, cry, act like a fool, dance like an idiot (LOL)... and it's not constrained by language!!!!

OK I guess I've been awake too long... I'll go and lie down now!!!!! Take it easy everyone, Dave

thanks for that quantum, I never heard that before. Maybe the Chemical Brothers only work with, ahem, "famous" people. It's a shame though - that would have been an awesome collaboration.

Yeah /\/\ike work, wages, taxes, etc ! Just like the good old days! LOL. The guy wants me to build PCs for him (if I can come in at a decent price), do some ongoing support and help him with his web site. And there's the whole franchise thing too - I spend my days now spoiling my dogs, so to make a living from it almost feels like cheating!!!!

Hey Joe - do you have any pets? Later, Dave

I've never done it myself guitardedboy but I'm sure there's plenty of folks here who can answer that for you! Don't you guys just hang out after the show? I think when Joe plays Manchester people just hang out by the stage door, next to the tour bus.

Catch ya later r6r - you actually gonna do some playing this weekend or what?! :-D

ianjf: how are you finding VST? I tried a few versions of it (and a few of Logic too LOL) but they just felt a bit weird to me! :-| Maybe it's cos I use a PC and those apps were ported from different OSes. I finally settled on Sonar - it was born on the Win32 platform so to my anally-retentive way of thinking it made just that little bit more sense. I could never get used to half the commands being hidden under "hold the mouse button for a second" on the other apps LOL. I use an m-audio four-channel soundcard and the latency's pretty decent (as in *not*, if you see what I mean!!!), and my midi interface is a 16-portYamaha USB thing. Do you use plugins? I hear they're rotters on latency!

Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully I've knackered these three pooches out so I can have some peace (or was it peas, /\/\ike ROFL) this evening! Laters, Dave (oh and sorry for the long post!)

i haven't seen LOTR myself.... i cowered back while the hype did its thing (just like with Harry Potter).....but I have to admit - HP is pretty damn good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

xmezdelca it would appear that tu mardre come butse pecie and that maybe you should fatti i cazzi tuoi. Perhaps you are a uccello who needs to get out more. Try getting yourself a life instead of being abusive and asking for freebies. Oh, and one more thing - we speak EENGLEESH here. No wonder your free chrome guitar didn't arrive - you didn't ask for it in a way that anyone could understand!

Rich: yeah I have the DVD of Se7en, with an alternative ending! I know many girls like Brad for his looks, but IMO he's a very decent actor too!

Yesterday was quite productive - I won two Boss delays on ebay (not that I have any money LOL)

yeah Rich, I've not watched it for a while, but there's the "normal" ending in the movie, and the second disc has a different ending, and a storyboard for a third ending that wasn't filmed. Pretty cool, DVDs :-)

Worst movie? hmmm.. good question! I thought 2010 was a bit of a letdown, but then again there's perhaps nobody who could follow a Kubrick masterpiece other than Kubrick himself.

If any of you guys use usenet somebody's posted the SBM webcast as MP3 recently. My ISP didn't have it though :-(

MarkusMack: I recall Joe saying in an interview that he and SV and Brian May swapped guitars at the Spanish Expo thing in (I think it was) 92 and, to their disappointment, everyone still sounded like himself! Joe & Steve were very keen to try Brian's rig, but still couldn't get it to sound like him! :-)

Hope y'all had a good weekend, it's the first day of the rest of my life tomorrow for me! Later everyone, Dave

Rich: I still haven't had chance to watch it - I think Morgan Freeman shoots Kevin Spacey. Maybe I'll get chance tonight - I'll let you know as soon as I know ;-)

/\/\ike: you're very welcome, and again a million + 1 thanks for your comments! :-) (beaming) Glad you like the bonus Japanese track! LOL

Narface: an ashtray for a motorbike, and and inflatable dartboard ;-)

Congrats Austinitsua!

OK so now there are four dogs here, but at least I'm earning a little dosh in the truly mad madhouse!!!!! Later everyone, Dave

Hey Joe: Which tracks do you use the Digitech harmoniser on and what kind is it? Or do you just leave it set on a slight detune? Isn't your Xmas break coming up? Going snowboarding? Have fun!!!!!

Steven4578: my internet connection's dodgy today so I can't check Amazon for you, but that track is from the Expo in (I think) 92 in Sevilla. Joe Steve & Brian did a set each and also I think Joe Walsh, with the obligatory jam at the end. I have it on video tape but it's PAL not NTSC... maybe you could ask in the Satch newsgroup?

Thanks again /\/\ike!!!!

Right then, this dog thing is knackering me - I'm off for a quick plink and then a kip ;-) Later all, Dave

Hey guys I found a downside to these recording preamps (V-Amp, POD, etc).... if you use the dirty sounds in them and you have delay pedals you're going to be distorting your clean delays, and it sounds kinda poopy. I tried my delay after the preamp, but the output's at line level so the delay didn't like it. I came up with a workaround but it involves a bit of tap dancing LOL

Later, Dave
