made a few changes to the Talk2Joe site... hopefully you'll all be able to see the cover ideas a little better now...keep those ideas coming in peeps!
also... saw the video to Johnny Cash's cover version of Nine Inch Nails' Hurt today... I'd heard that Trent cried when he saw/heard it... personally I'm not surprised, but I'm not sure if he was pleased or not... :-/

Olly I used to use Super Slinkies (the pink pack) but thought Avarice would rip the pi$$, so I changed to Hybrid Slinkies... then I found a great shop online selling D'Addario XL120s cheap with free delivery so I went for them.... none of those (to me) sounded different and I had no breakages with any of em.. :-/ maybe it's my sedate and laid-back style of playing that does it... ;-)
Maybe it's time I checked out the Osmonds, after all this talk about them... maybe I can do some kind of shredding swept arpeggio backing to "Baby I'm The Quiet One In A Family Group Run By Their Self-Appointed Manager Father or something, and hope nobody will notice.....

r6r yes it seems there are some peeps on the CD who can (and hopefully will) make it (although I haven't heard anything you haven't - probably the opposite!).... just do as I do.... sit back, hope somebody likes it. If I was looking for a recording contract do you *really* think I'd do it this way????

So 6/8 would by convention be thought of as two sets of triplets so there are only two strong beats to the bar... shifting the accent to three duplets would cause a cross rhythm... meaning the composer forgot / didn't realise (s)he was writing in 3/4 the whole time???

Benny Voodoo Chile is 6:37 and Little Wing is 10:29. The files are so big cos the person who encoded them did it at 196kHz for better quality.

rhythm guys there's a song by Rush called Afterimage on Grace Under Pressure... just before the solo (it's all in 4/4) Neil plays something like this (K = Kick S = Snare)....
| K K S K | K S K K | S K K S | K K S K | etc
in other words playing a 3/4 feel where everyone else is playing straight 4/4... is that the same kind of thing...?

r6r seeing with these (sometimes needed) third pair of eyes.... is it really that important? A chest? A (f*****g) chandelier????? Mr Nick it was on BBC2 (or something like that), so your only potential problems are 1: how good my VCR was when I taped it, 2) how well the tape has aged since, and 3) the quality of my VCR to VCR copies... I'm sure it'll be OK for you!
