Wolf - that first sentence almost makes sense except that he liikely has enough money for the dentist without staging an accident to get it done for free (after the deductable of course).

My dad has dementia, and when my mother died on their vacation to Antartica/South America, though he was there he still does not understand where she is. He cannot process the information, or does not want to.

He's doing OK Michelle. I did not know much about it until the fateful trip. I found a great place for him that is very homelike and he has taken over the duties of taking care of the birds and the neighbor's cat. My mom never wanted pets and he is a lifelong animal lover. That part of him remains. Horrible disease though.
