njbeast - Oh a stupid girl thing...bout christmas time a friend organized 2 big quizzes ...he wanted to take part so I said I would organize the next one...which everyone said was a great idea and that they would all be there...anyway the quiz is tonight...but someone else has organized a shower for another friend who moved her wedding forward from october to 29th April and now all I here is "oh sorry, we can't make the quiz now...which is sad enough coz its taken a lot of effort and money to organize...but my best friend ...who i helped through a major depression..taking her for walks in woods in the pouring rain, picnics in her living room...anything she needed to help her i was there and doing it for her....well she is going too...I can understand her wanting to support the person who is getting married...but the fact is she can do that at the wedding and the reception next week...i can't see why she can't support me this week...she has given me lots of very lame excuses too which only made matters worse...so there ya go...I am just feeling a bit betrayed by lots of people...but the kids have been great after seeing me crying for hours about it they cuddled me and then while i was up on the bed crying some more i could here them on the computer downstairs calling out far and wide on Bebo and MSN for more people from surrounding towns...so that was really sweet of them...I just hope there is enough to make it a good night...will let you know tomorrow...better get going now spose...take care...wish you hadn't asked don't you....the thing with me is if i feel like talking I will...to whoever asks at the time...so BEWARE NEXT TIME! hehe

Welcome To Lone Rocker's Lair!!!!

I am a local guitar player in the Tampa Bay area. The guitar and music in general has always been an escape for me. I created this page so I would have a means to post my music on-line and hopefully collaborate with family and friends on home recording projects. I am still learning to play as well as record, so if you found this page, keep that in mind when you hear my stuff.

My Influences

My influences are Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Blues Saraceno, Vinnie Moore, Brad Gillis, Jeff Watson, Tom Scholz, Vito Bratta, Stu Hamm, Beaver Felton, and last but not least, Doug Marks of Metal Method Guitar lessons, without whom I would have never learned to play the guitar.

My Rig

My rig consists of the following Electric Guitars: a Carvin DC127C, an Ibanez JS1000BP, a Jackson SL1, and a Jackson SL4. I use these amps: an ART DST-825 and a Fender Princeton Chorus. I use the following Acoustic Guitars: a Taylor 314CE and a Taylor 214. I also use a Carvin LB20 Bass along with a Carvin PB100-15 amp.

I have found that the guitar pickups have just as much or possibly even more of an effect on my overall sound than the woods and other materials that make up my guitars. Over the years, I have become a big fan of Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan pickups. Thanks to my DC127C I have recently become a fan of Carvin pickups as well. Personally, I prefer passive pickups as opposed to active pickups.

Besides the signal processor that is built into the ART, I use a ToneWorks AX1000G signal processor, a CryBabay Wah, a Digitech XP-100 Whammy Wah, and a ToneWorks Pandora PX4 and PX4D.

For recording, I use a Line6 TonePort UX2 along with CakeWalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3. I use the Line6 GearBox Software or my Pandora for effects if I am plugged directly into the TonePort. If I mic my amps, I use a Shure Beta 57A mic.

I usually use D'Addario strings for both my acousic and electric guitars, although I like Dean Markely Blue Steels very much also. I prefer to use GHS Boomers on the Bass.

After going through a lot of guitar cables over the years, I finally settled on Monster Guitar Cables. When not using a guitar cable, I use a Nady 101 Wireless.

There is no "My Music Section"....aaaaaaagh what's going on! There is nothing under the picture of the guitars????
