audiojimbo - You know the biggest compliment an artist (and I use the term very lightly here on myself) can have is that someone has put their work on a wall somewhere...and the greatest pleasure an artist can have is that their work has given one other person pleasure!

Bigbunny - Frogs in Paradise is wonderful really I love it, you are so good at that kind of painting....its your thang! Oh and yeah I know I really should try some other mediums but I am scared....I got a voucher from work when I left to use at our local art shop so that I could do just that but what did I do? Bought some pencils and pads...I still have some money left for it although I don't know where the voucher is now...acrylics I would like to try but I am scared I will mess up!

I read sum stuff about the gig too....they do the whole album for a start...well it is a story so I suppose you can't leave anything out....so its the story of a patient in a hospital....so it starts in the dark and the lead singer comes onto stage on a hospital bed that is lit up with red and white strobes....during welcome to the black parade they spray confetti at everyone and there are huge Zeppelins flying around above the crowd....during mama there are major pyrotechnics and when they have done the whole of this album they do some of their older stuff

js1200js1000 - Great you now know the sex of the kid....I little mini js1200js1000 any names in mind yet...JOE for instance...LOL this was posted a while ago...with regard to the setlist ....Paul came out first, and opened with the title track "Get Out Of My Yard" then proceeded to play a bunch of songs off that album (if I remember right it was, in order, Hurry Up, Curse of the Castle Dragon, Rusty Old Boat, then Radiator). Then he played Down to Mexico, Scarified, Skit Skat Wah, Addicted To That Rush, and Green Tinted 60's Mind. Killer Band, Bruce ripped it up as well, with Paul sharing most of the solos with him. The bassist was great, and a great singer. Then JP came out. He played Jaws of Life, Glasgow Kiss, Lost Without You, Curve, Wishful Thinking, and Damage Control. JP played great. His tone was excellent and he was LOUD. MP kept dropping sticks but was awesome as usual. Satch's set was I believe, War, (unknown song), Cool #9, Ice 9, Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, Satch Boogie, Surfing With the Alien into Summer Song, Finishing with Always with me, Always with you... Then as Joe gets into this little breakdown, all of the sudden JP appears and busts out a killer lead. Then of Course PG come's out and plays another great solo. The G3 Jam Consisted of a sort of Hendrix Medley (Foxy Lady-Purple Haze-Voodoo Chile), Goin' Down, and Jumpin Jack Flash. Paul sang everything except for goin down which Joe did the vocals for. Overall, the playing was great, all of those guys were amazing.

joe ...watching you was just the most awe-inspiring gig I have ever been too and I will see you over and over again

but...

in a completely different way the MCR concert last night was the most amazing gig I have ever been too! Full report coming later...boy I am deaf...I can't speak...I mean everyone without exception knew all the words and sang at the top of their voice 5000 people singing...its was amazing...the fireworks the fire...the lights it was just amazing....

anyway a great start to the day was the first place we went to was the Hard Rock Cafe Shop...Now I was wearing my joe t-shirt, necklace and bag...and as soon as I walked in this shop assistant came flying over and said I was at that gig in Hammersmith ....so of course we got to speaking about Joe and Steve and etc etc...then we had some food at the hard rock cafe....got pictures of the hendrix stuff and steve Vai's double guitar and other stuff...then we went to Hamley's Toy shop....awww I love that place...I got the cutest little guitar for my bag....you were supposed to buy this teddy and dress it up which cost loads so i just asked if I could have the guitar....they were none to happy but they let me get it....hehehe

Another fantastic part of the day was at the train station....of course it was jammed with fans...this guy shouted "every listen and sing" and he did the heart monitor beeps (thats how the black parade album starts coz its the story of a patient in hospital) and we all just burst into song...that was just a classic moment in life to remember....

oh oh speaking of classic moments...another one at the gig was when he said...."I'm gonna turn the lights off...not coz your not pretty...I wanna see the stars in the sky".....About 75 of the people there turned on their mobiles and waved them and waved them through the next song....it just looked amazing....

Well our MCR day started with a trip the Hard Rock café shop where the store assistant came flying over and said I was at the hammersmith gig…pointing to my Satch T-shirt…so we had a chat about guitar in general…I told him to go to the London Guitar show and that Vai was gigging which he didn’t know…anyway then we went next door to the the actual café and had some lunch and a good look around at the memorabilia took some photos….had a mad conversation with the waiter Dr Phil http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2250682200084221824yhjCRywho said he would look on my webshots site when he saw my pictures..

Then a trip to Hamley’s toy store which of course was lots of fun and I got the cutest little guitar meant to go on a teddy bear but its now on my bag! The HMV where Jade got an MCR t-shirt, DVD and CD and I got Burning Organ CD by Paul Gilbert.

Next a walk to The forbidden Planet shop…which is basically a cult shop…where you can get action figures books and various other stuff related to anything that is cultish in film music or books etc…such as LOTR, Napoleon Dynamite, any comic book stuff etc etc MCR dolls but they only had ray left!

So we then headed to Wembley for the gig….the sight of so many MCR fans was great for a start. Inside While we were waiting for the first band, various tunes came over the sound system..but then green day Basket case came on and at least 75% of the people started singing along to it…that was great and a taste of things to come. Every time anyone came on stage there was a big cheer…every time a light came on there was a big cheer hehe First band Thursday were OK fairly heavy…lots of swearing…so that was naff…

Then MCR started with Gerard coming onto stage on a lit up hospital bed…then he gets up sings the first few lines then his gown rips off the curtain come apart and it launches the crown go mental but have been singing along the whole time and that never stopped….every person sang at the top of their voice to every single song and it was amazing to hear…MCR played with whole heart as usual there was a brilliant light show, fireworks…flames…big ticker tape explosions it was incredible. For one song Gerard said “I am gonna turn the lights off now and its not coz you’re not pretty I wanna see those stars in the sky, and I am gonna turn my back till you are ready”….well 80% of people turned on their mobiles and waved them in the air…it really did look like the night sky it was amazing and then of course they were all swaying the phones to the next song. Of course there was lots of jumping around too! We were quite a way from the stage but it was still amazing. They did the whole of their Black Parade album…then they went off while the extra track blood played…with everyone in the audience still singing…then Gerard came back on and said the Black Parade was dead and launched into older stuff starting with “I’m not OK and ending with “so long and good night” The noise of everyone was just more than I have ever heard….it was amazing.

Outside Wembley arena there are water fountains in the ground with coloured lights in Which Jade and many others ran through at the end….there was in fact a large Black Parade going to the train station and just as we got down to the platform….this guy shouted…everyone listen and sing he did the heart monitor beeps at the start of the album and everyone launched into song…on the platform and as we boarded the train. Jade and I tried at various times after that to get people singing but just launching into song…but to no avail.

All in all the best band stage show I have ever seen and the best audience.

mikesb - ooooo that's annoying me...you said to cube "There are 1,324,987 geetar pickers in nashville" ......OK I used to listen to a song with that in when I was a kid....is that what you were referring too...I think the next line was....."and every one of them can play the guitar twice as better than I will"....but I can't remember the rest....oooooooo brain strain! ....wait wait...I think in the song it was 1,352 guitar pickers in Nashville.....still I guess with the amount of years in between the number would have gone up LOL

Anibur - Oh yeah...see above!
