Joe, I always wondered what exactly it means to be self taught. Im only 15 and as a beginning guitarist (year and a bit =/ ) i always read interviews of other guitarists who are self taught. Does that mean you just used books and stuff of that nature to teach yourself, instead of having a guitar teacher? I want to learn more about playing guitar ofcourse, but I had mixed answers about what it means to be self taught. Thanks.

Hey guys hows it going? Im pretty mad myself, actually, because im only 15 (turning 16 soon! hurray for driving) and Joe is playing at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, which is only drinking age and up (19+). AHH this stuff bothers me because Satch is the man, and this isnt the first time cool bands have played at the commodore. The doors played there not too long ago (with Ian Astbury) and so i couldnt go to that. Well, all i can say is you guys are so lucky if you get to see joe!

Iv'e got to say, im pretty ticked off right now. Its 7:46pm meaning its only a couple hours until Joe goes on at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, and I don't get to go because im not old enough. You know, it really sucks when you want to see one of your heroes of the guitar but something as silly as your age prevents you from doing so. I don't see why Joe couldn't have had the show at the Orpheum or Queen E because they are both pretty nice places and i bet you could make more money off there, and the sound is really good at the Orpheum. I really hope he comes back or something, because blasting your Super Colossal on iTunes is probably nothing compared to seeing him live. Oh well, thats my 2-cents i guess.
