Hi people, newbie from Scotland here. Just wanted to say hello, I'm not the real Martin Barre! I love Joe's music, just wish I could play like that. :-(

This message board is impossible to follow! Cant it be sorted to a normal "thread" style thing, instead of this random message thing? It's seriously the worst setup I've ever seen on an internet forum. Other than that, I cant wait for my Live in SF DVD to arrive! :)

SO, these G3 thingies. I had the cd of the one with Joe, Vai and Johnson but I didn't enjoy it at all and ended up selling it. Maybe good seeing it on tour but I didn't think it translated too well to cd. I've no intention of buying the latest one with Malmsteen as I've got no time for the guy. His first album is good, but everything else I've heard by him - and the hilarious live DVD I saw of him high kicking and widdling away aimlessly - just made me dislike him intensely. I'm a HUGE Joe fan, and I like some of Steve's stuff, but these G3 things don't seem worth the money for me on cd.

Anyone agree? And what about Gary Moore for the next one? I'd buy that! :)

Saw Joe last night in Glasgow. First off, Johnny A was very good, I rather enjoyed his set, even if he was too lazy to get off his ass for the entire set! :-) Joe was fantastic as you'd expect although I was rather disappointed in the amount of slower songs he played, and I was VERY disappointed he didn't play Big Bad Moon, I'd been telling my pal it would be a highlight of the show then he never even played it. :-(

Still, my friend, who never really listened to Joe before, enjoyed it enough to buy a SC T-shirt! Come back to Glasgow again soon Joe, we'll be there!

BTW The audience was SOO varied - young kids, metal fans, older men and women, all sorts. I even saw a star of one of the Scottish soap-operas there (Kelly Marie from "River City"). All in all a great night out, thanks Joe!
