Joe got the new cd off ITunes(couldn't wait),pretty good I must say.I plan on buying the Disc itself as well because the quality is much better and well I like to have the liner notes as well.Is Ghost on the store versions of the cd?Also are there plans on coming to Portland,Oregon on the tour?I know that you are touring Europe currently and it would be a while, just curious.I haven't seen you live yet,but I'm going to this year one way or another.

Doesn't Dave play with Petrucci on his solo stuff as well? It's him or Vai I can't remember which.

Favorites off the new Cd:All Of Them!I've listened to it about a dozen time since midnight and I love it.The best way to listen to Satch IMO is through a killer set of headphones. You hear so much more of what is going on in a song than you do just casually listening.Oh yea and LOUD!!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy the new cd.It is more laid back than Super Colossal, but nothing wrong with that.I generally try not to compare discs, because each has it's own personality and vibe.

I do kind of feel that the last couple of songs don't really fit the cd.They are both rockin songs and that is probably why they don't really seem to fit, because the rest of the disc has a completely different vibe.A more rock/laid back vibe. While the last two and even Ghost are cutthroat most of the way.Much like Super Colossal I enjoy the whole disc though. Each song brings out a different emotion and has it's own strengths and weaknesses.Hard to believe Satch has continued to put out the quality of music he has for as long as he has.Keep it up the awesome work Joe.

Ok,Joe I know as an artist you always try to keep your focus on the future and or the task at hand. Thus your reasoning for leaving the Anthology in the hands of your fans(which I think every group should do).Anyways I must ask,is there a song or songs in your incredible catalogue that you listen to today and ask yourself "What was I thinking when I came up with this one?"

Why such dislike of "I Just Wanna Rock"?The hook is only at the beginning and end of the song. The middle of the song has killer guitar work and just plain rocks. It is definately better than Crowd Chant ever was.Just my opinion.

That would be cool for sure.

Hey Joe,I was wondering what your thoughts were on having ZZ playing on your cd's.How into it is he?Is this something that could become more frequent and extensive on future releases? How about a ZZ solo album, lol.

BadHeavy:I find nothing wrong with being silly and immature every now and then,so long as it's done in moderation.I'm sure Joe has more than enough time of being serious, letting go sometimes is very theraputic.

ZuperDave:Sounds like beautiful wheather. Why aren't you outside playing?

1.Musterion:Great track that sounds like it could have been on "Is There Love In Space",but wasn't quite ready at the time or something.I love the solo section. 2.Overdriver:Love the opening riff, great rocker overall. 3.I Just Wanna Rock:I like this song overall thanks to an awesome solo and just a great riff if you ask me.The "I Just Wanna Rock" parts really aren't that bad.To me it's much better than Crowd Chant or most all of his vocal tracks(Except "Big Bad Moon"). 4.Professor Satchafunkilis:Catchy,a little funky, and seems a bit too simple.I would have liked a little more soloing here.Reminds me of "Hill Groove" but not as loose feeling and less soloing. 5.Revelation:Definately a catchy melody on this track, but I feel the track is a bit overrated by the fans. Not saying it's a bad song, just don't see the same qualities in it that most seem to see. 6.Come On Baby:I love Satch when he is Bluesy and this track definately has that vibe.I'm a fan of his ballads as alot of them are for Rubina and his soulfullness really shows at that time. 7.Out Of The Sunrise:Peaceful little track that kind of reminds of a more upbeat "Home" until the last part of it which really helps this song out.If I had to pick a least fav this would be it. 8.Diddle-Y-A-Doo-Dat:Not sure why the beggining annoys people so much, almost reminds me of "Killer Bee Bop".Anyways funky little track with a fimiliar type of chorus.Good song though. 9.Asik Vaysal:Straight rockin track that kind takes a few listens to get into.I love the fact that the bass line isn't so run of the mill. 10.Andalusia:I Love the intro of this song.I would have been happy if the whole song was like the intro.Mean riff for the second part, great soloing as well.Best song on the Cd.

A boy and his grandpa are out fishing one day.Grandpa pulls out a bottle of Jack Daniels to take a swig and the boy asks "Grandpa can have a sip?"Grandpa responds "Well son,can your d*ck touch your ass?"The boy says "No" and Grandpa tells him he can't have a drink.

Then Grandpa pulls out a cigar and the boy again asks "Grandpa can try that?"Grandpa again asks "Can your d*ck touch your ass"?"No" the boy says and once again Grandpa tells he can't try some.

On the way home the pair stop at the store and Grandpa buys each of them a lottery ticket.Grandpa wins nothing. The boy on the other hand wins $100.Grandpa asks the boy "Hey are you gonna share some of your winnings"?The boy asks "Well can your d*ck touch your ass"?Grandpa says "As a matter of fact it can" and the boy says "Well good go f**k yourself then"!!

Who listens to the Raconteurs?I bought their new cd today and I'm impressed. It makes me wonder why Jack White wastes his time with The White Stripes.Don't get me wrong,I enjoy the White Stripes as well. It's just that in The Raconteurs Jack has a full very capable band and help writing the material. With the Stripes he IS the band.

I would like to hear an acoustic cd,even if he just did some fan favs.It would be interesting to hear songs played accoustically.

ibanezguitars here's my list in order of preference: 1.Andalusia 2.Musterion 3.Revelation 4.Come On Baby 5.Overdriver 6.Asik Vaysal 7.Professor Satchafunkilis 8.I Just Wanna Rock 9.Diddle-Y-Doo-Dat 10.Out Of The Sunrise

I personally enjoy all the songs for some reason or another.I'm a true fan boy when it comes to Joe.I can't find much fault in his music(unless he sings).I'm not big on his vocals and I Just Wanna Rock doesn't count.

Have you guys read the reviews for Joes new cd on Amazon.com? I swear that every reviewer who gives the cd 3 Stars or less states first how long he has been listening to Satch.Do you suppose this is for credibility or to help justify why they don't like the cd?To me it seems the people who are disappointed are those that either want another "Surfing" or "Extremist" or those that keep expecting something different.Seriously, how many music groups or artists make it big and change things up once they do?Not many. It's most likely the record labels fault as they want the artist to stick to a sound that makes them more money or they will be more appealing to the masses.Besides, the one time Joe seriously changed things up(Engines Of Creation),it wasn't accepted with open arms.

My least favorite Satch song would have to be about anything he sings.I'm sorry, but his vocals are awful. Some tracks are listenable due to the tune that goes with them(Ride and Big Bad Moon),but most just stink.I have to agree about distinguishing favorite Satch and the best Satch album.PSATMOR is my current favorite because it's fresh and new and I have listened to it a gazillion times yet.I would have to agree that Crystal Planet is his best overall cd,though I really enjoy them all just at different times.
