Dear Everyone
Glad to be a part of satch scene finally! It took awhile to get my password and everything right but now I have it I will come more often. My favorite satch songs are Satch Boogie, where I get my nickname from--not because I'm scary!LOL:-), Circles, Summer Song, Crystal Planet, One Big Rush, Rasberry Jam, Devil's Slide, Time, Big Bad Moon, Ceremony, and Lords of Karma. I love Crush of Love too which I can play part of on guitar--the main melody anyway. I can also play part of satch boogie--the main melody. I haven't learned the whole song yet but I am working on it. What are other people's favorite songs? I like them all of course but those are my favorites.
Dylan--btw I am living in Damariscotta.

Boo! LOL:-)
I did not choose my name because I am a scary dude--although I can look it on a bad day! LOL. I chose it because Satch Boogie is one of my favorite songs besides Crystal Planet, Ceremony, Lords of Karma, Devil's Slide, Circles, Summer Song and Ice #9. Banana Mango rocks too. Oh yeah I forgot about House Full of Bullets, One Big Rush and Rasberry Jam.
What are people's favorites? I like all of them but these more than others.

Dear All
Anyone in The Lincoln County area of Maine? I am trying to form a pagan hard rock/heavy metal band. I am not hear to preach but to play music with people regardless of their race, nationality, sexuality, politics, spirituality etc. although I would like it if they were open-minded about paganism. I worship mother nature, not the devil. Thanks! Email me at panther@gwi.net or post a message if you are interested.
Is this ok to post ads regarding music?

Dear Everyone
My name is Dylan. I am from Damariscotta Maine. Is anyone from Maine? I saw Joe in concert on one of the G3 tours in Minneapolis MN when I went there for college. I saw him with Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and one other guy I don't remember but it was amazing. I saw it with my friend Kevin Wipf. Did anyone see that concert? I wish I could have seen him with John Petrucci from Dream Theater. They are an amazing group.

Dear Levis]
I've been playing for over 10 years and sometimes try tricky timing such as mixing 6/8 and then going to 4/4, and then to 3/4. I too find it hard to switch from one to the next but what helps is practicing lots and also playing along with bands who do that too (i.e. Dream Theater with John Petrucci). I also like Liquid Tension Expiriment 1 and 2. Try playing along with bands who mix time signatures up. Is this what you mean?
I would love to go to England. I have been to New Zealand and that was a great trip. I had a blast watching The All Blacks and such.
Anyone have advice on mastering modes? I just use them sometimes without realizing it, since it sounds good. Sometimes I will come up with a composition in the aolian mode that Joe uses and not know it until I ask my guitar teacher. I would like someway to memorize them, like a mneumonic device. Anyone have one? I know the aeolian mode pretty well.
Dylan
Also any help on open tunings?

Dear Steve T
I am watching Joe Satriani Live In San Fran which is an awesome concert. The song is Borg Sex which is awesome, but not one of my favs. I agree there are too many too list. Stew is an amazing bassist. Is the new album as good as its name? How's his new line up for the band? I am glad he kept Jeff as a drummer...at least I think he did. He is amazing too. It's nice to have new people to play with. It keeps it fresh and inspiring as well.
