Long time fan, though first time posting for me....
JOE, you are a true artist by which no words could truly express. I've been a devoted fan since I first heard "Power Cosmic" & "The Crush of Love" on a Soundpage included in the Feb '88 Guitar Player magazine...which I still have!
My wife, 11 yr old daughter, and 6 yr old son also love to listen to your music and watch all the videos & podcasts.
The whole family made it to the Chicago Theater last year for the Prof. Satchafunkilus tour, and again this year for Chickenfoot. Absolutely amazing.... Thanks for everything you've done, and for being so good to your fans. I'm sure most of us think of you as family. Take care, and travel safe!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I've been lurking on this site for about a year though. :)

axeshredderjc - congratulations, & best of luck in round 2! way to get it done with the JS. how did you have your Satchurator dialed in?
I'm still tinkering with my Satchurator & the crunch/ultra channels on my JSX 212. Haven't decided if I should trade in my Boss GigaDelay for a TimeMachine or not...

Has anyone thought about the possibility of Chickenfoot receiving a Grammy nomination?? Not that an award from them truly means a thing....
I wore my CF shirt a couple weekends ago and had 6 or 7 people compliment me on it - :)

Listening to: JS - The Headless Horseman (what a fun, funky song)

I love all the songs on the Chickenfoot album, but TURNIN' LEFT is damn near perfect. Turn it WAY UP and listen to all the subtle touches in the song as well as the raw in your face energy... absolutely love that song....

Next idiot that says Joe doesn't play with any soul or feeling I'm going to punch in the mouth

Listening to: Chickenfoot - Turnin' Left

bluebuffalo - yes, saw CF play Turnin' Left live at the Chicago Theater last month and you are right on... the energy of that song really came through!

axeshredderjc - thanks for posting about Chickenfoot's album being certified Gold. I've been wondering how well it was going over
Congratulations to Joe & the guys!

Listening to: Chris Poland - Return to Metalopolis: The Fall of Babylon

ptrocker - that's funny you posted that about The Cult !
They were among my favorites growing up & today I thought to myself (not having seen your post) "I haven't listened to The Cult in a while..." So I brought out "Electric" and "Beyond Good and Evil"
... love that stuff*

*not as much as Joe

I received my Live in Paris DVD & CD today! Have only listened to about 1/4 of the CD & have enjoyed it immensely! Getting ready to watch the DVD now. The nicest part? I received an extra cover/sleeve for BOTH the DVD & CD, and BOTH SIGNED. NICE =)
I had hoped the shipment would have come a day or two sooner, but good things come to those who wait.
Yesterday I picked up a JSX mini Colossal 5w class A tube amp for my 6 yr old son (he likes that my JSX 212 has a son now too)
good times
THANKS JOE!!!

Glitz Man! How's it going? Yeah, was really cool to receive. Being one of the first 200 ordering via the link on the Satriani.com site got me the hookup! I should have ordered a few. :)

Watching Joe on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon NOW!!!! Joe with Black Dog on my TV = AWESOME =)
And just for the record, I love the new CD & DVD. I honestly don't think Joe can put out anything bad.... merely different sides of a multifaceted individual. Personally, I am grateful he is enjoying himself and gracing us with new material. So the DVD is more of a music video instead of a traditional concert video... at least it has Joe's personal touch to it.
MORE! :)

GlitzMan - Happy Birthday! Hope the next year is a good one for you. Keep it real and jam out to some JOE. Mmmm perhaps Souls of Distortion, or Dog With Crown & Earring. BTW, have you ever heard The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner by Iron Maiden (off the Somewhere In Time album) good tune for a runner to have on their MP3 player. Peace out man.

Good luck Grant! Think it may be a bit BRISK this AM though... Hey, do you think those attending the Sweetwater in-store will actually get to meet Joe? That would be awesome
I've been waiting all morning for my 12 yr old daughter (she's taking the SAT)... meanwhile listening to "Ghosts" from Live in Paris =) LOVE that song. Not sure why it didn't make it on the PSATMOR US release...
Everyone have a good weekend!
JOE, feeling better yet?

OK... well here's the quick version... Decided on Tuesday to go to Thursday night Experience Hendrix in Chicago. Had high expectations, and all I can say is WOW. The show was phenomenal (will post review under "Road" section later). Three solid hours of I can't even put it into words! Joe playing "All Along the Watchtower" was even better than I could have imagined. After the show I somehow managed to meet Eric Johnson, Noah Hunt, Mike Manning, and most importantly JOE! Eric & Joe both signed autographs, Eric gave me a pick for my son, and Mike gave me a CF Joe pick. All were class acts.
My 6 yr old son who plays guitar was honked I didn't take him this time... :( (He's been to see Joe in '08 and Chickenfoot in '09)
Can't wait for the in-store appearance on Monday at Sweetwater in Ft. Wayne. Grant, are you still going and did you already register w/ Sweetwater?

JOE - Thanks so much for all you've done, being part of 2010 Exp Hendrix, and taking time to meet me and sign autographs. Can't say I said anything profound, but maybe next time. :)
...my head is still spinning like an old rotary cabinet...Chicago, can I get a witness????

Peace Lily - np. Yeah I went into the show already 1000% stoked and ready to see JOE, Living Colour, Ernie Isley, Eric Johnson, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Billy Cox! Anyone I didn't mention ended up being great as well. I am loving the blue JS single coil prototype with the maple fretboard Joe is playing too.

Joe, please please please release it for production so I can get one and put it next to my JS1000bp! It was blinding me during the concert and I was loving it. :)

Glitz Man! Grant - I looked on Sweetwater's site as soon as I knew about the event, but they didn't have anything setup for registration at that time... by the time I saw the event posted on their site, I registered but only got into the Conference Hall, and not the Performance Hall. :(
A co-worker/Joe fan and I hope to be at Sweetwater by 5-5:30pm. I'm still hoping we can somehow make it into the Performance hall... Either way, the 3 hour drive up will be worth it I'm sure.

...maybe JOE could get a T2J guy and his buddy into the performance hall??? :)

did I mention I will have driven 800 miles round trip in a 5 day period to see JOE? I could at least be up for eligibile for some JoeMiles or something...haha

Peace Lily - thanks for remembering & including me! :)

satrinicious, nice choice in songs.... especially SOULS OF DISTORTION (where I got the inspiration for my forum nickname) hehe

Glitz Man how's it going??? Pretty cool that you are visible in the front row of the Sweetwater videos - with the fashion going on there hehe :)

axeshredder, I agree with you about PSATMOR and how it gets better with age.. Live in Paris provides a nice spin on those tunes too IMO
The kids & I were watching some of the podcasts from that tour again... great stuff

Hope everyone else is doing well!
