greetings, this is my first time, be gentle ! I live in the UK and have loved Satch since I bought Flyin' at the tender age of 16, having been playing along with my dad's shadows records for two years! I saw the mash up that someone posted on you tube about the if I could fly/viva la vida and could smell something brewing. coldplay are popular over here because they're so mainstream and safe. most boring brits find this entertaining for some reason. the only way they came up with a decent song is by ripping off someone else's music. I hope you are successful in your case Joe, I'm know all your fans are behind you 110% and as for the coldplay fans, they've always got snow patrol or keane or some other dreary pop crap to listen to. bye for now. love to joe.

alright dudes and dudettes. I have a couple of questions for the master. 1. Which of your own songs is your favourite to play live? 2. which song by any other artist (dead or living) do you wish you had written? 3. who has been your favourite artist to work with? 4. who's been the worst? 5. who the hell is moe batriani :-) 6. any news on the 'chickenfoot' front? cheers Joe live long and prosper...

it's 10:45 am over here, doesn't that make it the early hours where you are DO THE STU ? just spent an hour on the you tube site reading the comments left on the JS v CP video, damn there are some ignorant people about ! over here we have a newspaper called THE SUN, they have posted what they call a flaw in Joe's case by supplying a link to some french bird who's also used the same chord progression... is this gonna drag on? has a can of worms been opened here or what?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/article2013268.ece

I know exactly how the britsh press are gonna paint this, as brits the sun tell us we should look down on people who sue, saying it is a 'typical american' culture. they then have a 4 page spread of adverts telling us we can sue the local government if they failed to empty our bin in september 1972 because it caused us stress. Typical. I l;ove being british but we are a bit c$%p sometimes !!!

after a busy morning insulting coldplay fans I have found myself asking the question; why does JS stand out above all the other artists/bands that I like? the answer is He is UNIQUE. no one else can combine technical skill and knowledge and still pack every single ounce of their emotion into each and every piece they create. does anyone know exactly how many days, hours and minutes worth of music satch has recorded over the years? I would like to know if they would fill an i-pod !! love ya Joe, keep your chin up

any of you seen this excerpt from the guardian newspage?

On the one hand, you have Satriani's six-and-a-half-minute instrumental from 2004, with cheese-ball guitar wailing, moments of shredding, and long bouts of soloing. On the other hand, you have Viva La Vida: Eno-produced, Grammy-nominated, full of strings, church bells, drum rolls, chorales. And a sort of harpsichord solo. Certainly Viva La Vida is cheese-ball as well - but it feels more cheddar than Dairylea.

what the... what is this journalist trying to say exactly? does this mean that coldplay are a solid mature block of cheese and that Joe is a soft spreadable type? and which is better anyway? please help, explain !!!

happy tuesday satchfans. I don't want to get started again on this whole sour business but look what i discovered ;

CHRIS MARTIN COLDPLAY is an anagram of:

CRIMINALLY PROD SATCH and

SATCH PIRACY MIND ROLL !!!!

interestingly you can seperately make ; CHIMP + CHRIS + CRIMINALLY + PINCH + SATRIANI + MELODY.

HOW F&%$ED IS THAT !!!!

Evenin all,

andy, press return twice !

anyone heard COPYLLAD, sorry COLDPLAY's latest track, What the hell does it sound like, it's got this melody like answering the chorus lines that sounds like somethin else, No I'm not being sarcastic,

I feel for Joe though, I feel like this is gonna drag on but I really hope it doesn't go sour. We can see how CP are approaching this from their statement. accidental reproduction? should've used protection.

love to all

ZOLVAISAT, of course you are entitled to your opinion, but there are two problems with your argument,

1. you are wrong

2. you are french

you need to read into the statements to see why Joe is pursuing this, it is not money motivated. it is protecting his own creation.

so what if you don't buy any more of Joe's stuff, you'll be the one missing out, not him.

au revoir mon petite grande

(excuse my french, I'm ENGLISH)

GOLDENGIRL2,

Mark Knopfler is frem Newcastle. I think a few geordies might be upset that you say he's scottish. He's the only musician they're famous for, (they only have Jimmy Nail and Paul Gascoine otherwise ) !!!

I agree though, He is cool. Dire Straits have some of the best driving rock music ever. ( attention to money for nothing and sultans of swing). and unlike One big rush and summer song they are not gonna make you drive so fast you get a ticket. (sorry Joe, but they make me go way too fast)

Andy Of UK, How does one get hold of such an item? you da man.

you obviously have inside info, Hmm>?

So does anyone else find St Joe's tunes make ya drive a little bit too fast?

Apologies GoldenGirl2, it appears that Mark Knopfler was raised in scotland until 9 when his family moved to Newcaste. conversations must've been fun between those two strong accents, och aye laddie, is wor gannin doon the toon.

bye 4 now
