Dear Joe and Webmaster,

This is a plea for mostly Classic Joe at the concert at Seattle's Moore Theater in November.

I have loved Joe's music since I first heard "Always With You Always With Me" for the first time on KISW in Seattle in 1988 from my office at Microsoft. The song touched something inside. I had no idea who it was until weeks later I heard the song for a 2nd time and found out the artist's name was Joe Satriani. I picked up the album and was surprised to find out the rest of the music was rocking and also touched something inside.

I bought the previous albums and waited for Flying In A Blue Dream. I loved Blue Dream, both the touching, deep songs and the rocking ones. I also loved The Extremist.

But I have to be honest. The Techno-Pop basis for Engines of Creation was disappointing. Joe has something inside him that he expresses in his music. It was mising in that album. I'm going out tomorrow to buy the latest album and I'm hoping for the best.

But I beg of you, please pick 75% of your songs from Extremest and before. That is the music that touches us.

AND PLEASE PLAY "CRUSHING DAY" I've been to 4 concert tours and never heard it. I'll never forget, as I stood crushed against the stage at Seattle's Arena, the 2nd time I ever saw Joe (Eric Johnson opened up) as another guy around me started chanting for "Crushing Day". It would be a real treat to finally hear this song live.

Can some other Satch fans weigh in on how you feel about Surfing, Blue Dream, and Extremist compared to Engines Of Creation and some of the other latest stuff?
