PHATMAN It has always been a question about moral. I think that if you really love music, you want to support the artist and buy the cd (if its available). I mean, its so boring with burned cd's there is no musical passion in those, Im spinning away am I not? :) And those cds you actually burn (by stupidity?) should be those you wouldnt buy or feel any musical passion about anyway. And who on earth wants to listen to that kind of music?
To make this a quick one:
As you see its a matter of each persons conscience. Unfortunately the love for music has been soiled by money and profit, which probably make people act after their wallets instead of their conscience.
Hm,.. what did I want to say with this? :) ??

PHATMAN Thats probably the nicest thing anyone has said to me today *blush* Yes please, some champagne thanks
HIGAIN Im actually planning to have 'Always with me,....' played as intro to my funeral. Quite useless considering that I wont be able to hear it huh? On the other hand I already know what it sounds like and my friends and family (yes I suppose they will attend :)) should really listen to Satriani for once.
I might consider Love Thing for my wedding, but I dont know for sure if Im going to find someone to marry. So the funeral should be a more safe alternative :)

Master Yoda, and yea,.. people in general I have to confess I didnt like EOC either. But if Joe recorded those songs again without being so attached to the computer sounds, it would be a lot more different. If he arranged all those songs to be played live with guitars, bass and drums only, you would notice the high quality. I mean, I love Borg sex live, it makes me high, but it sounds like a wet rotten tuna nailed to a wall on EOC, sorry Joe...
And about SBM? Thats another story which I will enjoy to tell someone some other time. End of today's philosophic flight :o)

I was looking through the cover of Steve Vai's 7th song, where he has written stories about the tracks. Ánd when I come to think of it, I would really enjoy to hear the stories behind the SBM songs. Of course they certainly of a very personal character, and perhaps Joe wants to keep the songs like that, but still... What do you think?
Ya Yo sounds like some unhappy mixture of Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, lousy reviewers...

James LaBrie seems to have some troubles keeping himself in tune live. Although DT may not be as good as Satriani and Vai, they sure deserve respect. 'Learning to live' and 'Another day' are pretty nice ones

I had no idea Joe picked up influences from Lauryn HIll :)
And yea, by the way, I had lots of blips and clips all over my listening party. Did anyone else had that problem? But It might as well have been the dial-up from my computer

It is a little bit annoying knowing that the hi stream connection died during the webcast but the low stream was still going. So here Im sitting with an ADSL connection who cant cope with the low stream. This means that if I had a lousy 56k modem I would have been able to keep watching the webcast, instead of sitting here and feel sorry for myself not being able to watch my hero in action...

Vetteguy Most mini amps are quite useless even on a trip. Though some of them have a kind of,.. uhm.. cute sound. But I wouldnt bother to buy one. I would rather go acousitc for some time

I hate when this happends!!! My band just cracked up due to personal fights between the drummer and the singer. Why can't they just stay together?
This is the second band I've been playing with who cracks up because of stuff like this. And it happends just when I thought that we were getting anywhere, after one year of hard work. I put down so much work and spirit on this band its driving me insane I have to start this band mate searching all over again.
Whats wrong with people, I just want to play!!!!!!

G3 in the States fun as always with or without Yngwie. I would suggest a webcast to make it up for the rest of the world.
At this point, for the first time, Im really anxious for Yngwie to get home (to Sweden) and bring Satch and Vai with him.

Who choose the third G3-member anyway? Joe? Steve? Promoters? Financials? Bush??? I personally thought they would pick someone more soft, they did surprise me.
Thanks to Dragonchild for Swedish lesson. But as a fellow Swede, let me add something. While pronouncing Yngwie you have to press your upper lip upwards over the "wie"-part, kind of like a horse. So you go from fish to horse and then you have to try sounding like being in total despise of just anything.

About that Rollingstone issue and the list... Except for the absence of the obvious guitar players (already discussed at T2J) Kurt Cobain listed no. 12? As a guitar player? Before Jeff Beck and Mark Knopfler and Brian May? Well, I was surprised... And oh yeah... Jenifer Batten for G3 2004

G3 in Gothenburg on tuesday... I think they should pick the aftershow pass winners now, I want one so badly...
Byt the way, I heard a rumour that Satriani is going to make an appearance in a music shop before the show... Is it true? Does anyone know?
