Hi T2J peeps. Hi Joe. Can't wait until Saturday for a massive dose of inspiration from Joe. I may have a spare ticket for the Apollo show. I will know definitely by tomorrow lunch time. If its available then the price will be the RRP. Email me if you might want it. Cheers Ged

Hi Joe. Thanks beyond measure for a truly stunning performance at the Apollo. I posted a review but that was before I read T2J. There are a few things I'd like to say. One . I feel really sorry for those that missed seeing Joe after the show. Everbody usually waits by the pub. This year I couldn't wait because I had to take a friend home. An idea might be to issue some kind of pass so that the fans that are interested might gian entrance to a controlled area after the show. I don't know how this will go down, I would think that Joe might really want to get away and relax after playing some many notes so well. Anyway - just an idea. What was it that the guy who got on the stage gave you Joe ? I'm glad that he succeeded anyway. Now, the venue. The Apollo has great sound - that is partly because the building is a heavy construction. I saw Joe at Cardiff in a modern arena (i.e. Big shed). These are the modern equivalent. They are clean and well appointed but, because of the lightweight (cheap !) construction the sound is AWFUL. I was at the front of the balcony on the left. The sound in the balcony always seems to be good. If you're at the front near the stage you get blasted and maybe the sound from the monitors muddies what you hear. Joe's guitar was a little quiet for the first few numbers (the balance between Joe and the rest of the band was a little off). But, it seems to have been corrected. Joe established a more personal bond with the audience right from the word go. I think he is a lot more confident. He said, "I'm in the mood for playing the guitar " - and he WAS. I have been privileged to grow up accompanied by the best musians ever - Beatles, Stones, Who, Hendrix, Cream, Zep, Airplane, Dead - and Then Satch and Vai - Musically there never was a better time to live. A warm thanks to you Joe. I have another massive dose of inspiration for my own playing - that will last at least a year (actually no - the rest of my life!).

I have a couple of questions: The double neck that Joe said one neck was tuned to the same note. How do you do that ? What strings do you use ? And. What pickups are in the Snake ? It has a wonderful, almost oriental tone. And. If you listen to the notes, they seem to "bloom". Is this some slow attack effect or is it the sound of a Happy Marshall ? Cheers to all. Ged

Joe, Hi. Sorry to hear about Pearly. Perhaps a bigger reward would get it back for you. How about a collection on this forum ? I would certainly donate 10-20 $ to the cause. Regards, Ged

Hi Joe and everybody. Just read the interview on guitar.com. Near the end Joe says that he's not interested in anything around 20k that people can't hear. I agree that most people would not hear a pure sign wave at 20k - but if you add those frequencies to other sounds it will have an audible effect. whether this is to do with some imperfection in the equipment or is a real effect - I don't know, but, I suspect it is real. Best to use the highest sampling rate and depth possible.

Cheers, Ged

Hi Joe. Hope you are well - when are you coming back to the UK ?

Webmaster: Is there any chance of a facility to hook out posts by a particular contributor ? A bit like looking at messages from Joe but with a name supplied.

Cheers to everybody. Keep practising 0 that'll do it. Ged

Hi Haven't popsted here for ages (not that anyone would notice). Hi Joe - come to UK soooon. Pretty please.

About the DS1. I modified my own but there is the "Seeing Eye" mod. This improves the sound immensely. I think Vai uses it too.

I you're interested - http://www.robertkeeley.com/ is the site.

Regards to all
