Joe,
I am new to your website and your music. Which is kind of crazy since I am almost 60 and have a pretty decent collection of rock, jazz and fusion music (as well as many other genres). I am writing to tell you that I knew about your music for a long time but never studied it. I recall listening to a track or two and thinking you were just another wizard trying to cram as many notes in a measure as possible. But my son sent me a youtube link of a concert of yours in San Francisco. I was dumbfounded. I went to Amazon and bought the Essential Satriani. That was two weeks ago. I cannot stop listening to it. I keep trying to tell my kids and friends that rock music itself is a legitimate art form, (aside from POP music). You elevate the electric guitar to an art form and I am stunned by the complexity and melodic depth of your music. Unbelievable. You make me feel young again. Please know that your music has spoken to me at a visceral level that hasn't happened since the first time I listened to Elegant Gypsy.
