I've seen a show on each of the G3 tours in the US. I've liked everyone but I think the format is getting a little tired. It would be much more interesting if there was more interplay between the guitarists than just the encore at the end. Ideally it would be a show where each could play on some songs themselves plus different pairings, and some trios. To me that would be more of a G3 show. In reality G3 has been a Satriani, Vai, and guest show as 3 separate enitities who happen to jam during the encore.

I just moved to Australia and was hoping you would make it down under for your next tour. I'm in Canberra and see that you have 3 days between the Melbourne and Sydney shows. So make a stop to the capital of Australia. The Royal Theatre would be a good place for a show. I'm going to see the Black Crowes there on April 2.

Joe, who's going to be in your touring band? Mike K is going to be playing with Vai on Oct 22/23 in the Netherlands. Maybe Steve and Mike can come jam with you in Paris before they head back to the U.S.
