Quantum - Tubes.........What are the symptoms of your amp??? One thing that I do know is that it is recommended to change your valves every 3-5 years as they do wear out. Even if you dont actually think you need to change them change them anyway and keep the old ones as spares. One thing I would check is that none of them are slightly loose as this can make some fun sounds. Hope that helps.

ovation1 - I did read those articles just for the fun of it and I really couldnt help laughing!!!

WEBMASTER - Is there anyway of putting something on the site to search for your last post so you can carry on reading from that point on??? The reason for this is that I dont always use the same computer and sometimes finding the point where you left off can be quite hard.

TASTEY - Thats not what I mean. I know how to see what I wrote in my last post but what I want to do is carry on reading what other people have wrote after my last post just like when you click on the set this message as last read you carry on reading from where you left off. This function isnt available if you then use another computer because the cookie that downloads goes to your own computer not the one you are on now. This is what I am trying to get round by asking the webmaster if a function that allows you to locate your last post in the main T2J section can be added. Does that make sense???

Master Yoda - Your site doesnt work mate.

Quantum - With regards to what brand to go for I would use either the exact same ones that are in your amp or maybe groove tubes. Its a hard one to call but if you can afford it change the lot as it will make a big difference anyway.

Do The Stu - I normally do but I end up with god knows how many posts to read as most of the time I cant remember when I posted last.

Copy and paste the above to add to it.

I am so sorry if I have offended anyone by bringing up my thoughts on multiple-posting. No offence was ever intended. Its just, for me, having to read through page after page of two people just chatting is really frustrating. If you want to chat to someone either use the chatroom or chat via email. Just my opinion......

Flameboy6600 - Does the buzzing happen on all pickups? Does it happen when you are not touching the guitar? Does it go away when you touch the bridge? If the answer is yes to any of the above take your whole rig to a repairer as it could be an earthing problem. Get it sorted as this can be quite dangerous.

Clarky - Happy 1000!!! I bet if you looked at all of your posts there would 50% of them that have beer (and other descriptions of the same) in them!!!

mOBSCENE - What do I do to go to sleep.........hmmmm....try closing your eyes!!! lol (no offence intended - just my sad sence of humour)

Yoda - Checked your website. Its looks really good except for all those bloody popups!!!!!!!!!!!!! I downloaded the track on your website.........very cool. One thing I would possibly do is pan the two guitars slightly as it has a very mono sound.

eta - With regards to the song on yoda's website just right-click the link, select "save as" and it will download to your hard drive for you to listen to whenever you want. Also I think that you have got a couple of things muddled up. Midi stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. You cant take a CD and convert the song to midi as midi is data. Its a bit like saying that you want to convert a song to .doc format which is a "microsoft word" program format. It just isnt possible. Also converting to a wav is possible but to email it isnt as most 3-4minute songs would create a 40meg file and most email boxes are 3-4meg big. You would need to convert it to mp3 as it should hopefully bring the size down to around that (depending on the quality that you decide to convert it to - the higher the quality, the larger the file).

Hi all. Havent had chance to catch up on recent posts as I have had a very hectic weekend but I will do once ive had some rest. This is how my w/end went:

Friday afternoon - go to load van with band backline, 8000watt PA system and full lighting rig. Friday night - do a trio gig in Alyesbury. and not leave until 1:30am. Drive to luton to stay at a travelodge (a drive in motel for you guys in the States). Get there at 2:30am and have a drink in the bar. Get to bed at 3:15am. 7am get up and get ready to drive to Hitchin for 9am to setup Pa system and sound-check 2 other bands (not including us) by 2pm for a wedding. Hour off. 3pm have a meal. 6pm ensure all mics on all instruments are working, check lighting/effects and tidy stage. 8pm first band are on. During all bands except us I ran the stage and lighting till 11pm. 11:15pm we came on to play till 12 midnight. Wait for other bands to pack their equipment down. 1am start packing our backline, PA and lighting. 2:45am drive 2 band members to a hotel. 3:20am begin drive home. 4am have 1hr sleep in van on side of the A14. 5am carry on back to to where we loaded the PA etc. 6:15 get back and drop off sound engineer and Van for someone to unload in the morning. 7:48am finish writing this message.

If you do the maths you will se that I have been up for 24hrs (ish) after surviving on 4rs sleep and in the meantime be a stage manager, lighting engineer, band member, roadie and driver aswell as doing two gigs at the same time. Time for sleep and its now light outside.............joy!!!!!!!!

Jazzy_Boy (or whatever your bloody name is now) - I have had to jump on this slagging off band wagon. 1. You started all this bulls**t by slagging off people (and friends of mine) from the start. 2. If you cant handle it then F**K OFF!!! People like you arent welcome in a place like this and finally 4. You are a PRICK - fact!!!

I am sick and tired of wankers like you coming into here and acting like you own the place. Get a life!!! I am going to start up a poll to see how many people actually want you out of here. Once you see how many of us stick together you wont have a leg to stand on.

POLL - HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT TO SEE JAZZY_BOY BANNED FROM TALK TO JOE????

Want Him Banned - 1 Dont Want Him Banned - 0

Maybe after this you might get the message and do us all a favour and F**K OFF!!!

Pissed off,

Aarren

Jazzy_Boy - Look man I am well up for calling a truce but you have got to understand that the reason that I got involved was, although you didnt direct anything directly at me, you were insulting some very dear friends of mine that regularly come in here and the one thing that makes my blood boil is people insulting my friends (just like you dont want anyone insulting you mother). Friends stick up for each other whether you like it or not. I am certainly not gonna retract my comments or apologise for them but, as I said before, I am willing to call a truce. You??? On a more friendly note how long have you been a fan of Joe's and what is your fav satch tune??? For me I have been a fan for about 11years and my fav satch tune is "always with me ........"

Yoda - Thanks bro........ I sometimes mic my amp up but I also use my JMP-1. Why dont you try running one side of your J-Station thru your amp and the other side into your recording application. What you will get is the same effect as micing you amp (harmonics etc) but without any spill??? Ive also now got a Soundclick Page with another track on it that is in its infancy. Have a listen anyway. Oh and ive been playing since I was 9, been gigging since I was 11 and I am now 24.

Death Cube K - I have a Jackson with EMG's in it. Does that mean that I suck especially as you viewed my IUMA and left the message "i like your tunes, well the covers, they sound great...". Strangely enough most of the tracks I recorded on there were done on my Jackson........strange that!!!

My trip to Prague was fantastic and very fuelled with tequila and local lager. It led to a very sore head and a very hung-over sound engineer so much so that he fell asleep on a bus tour around Prague and missed the lot. Oh well........hey ho its back to the bar we go. Another thing that happened was one of our female singers bought a set of fake nails to put on on the plane. She couldnt open the bottle of glue so decided to use her teeth (can you see whats coming!!!) and the glue shot in her mouth and glued her teeth together!!! She was able to get her mouth open eventually but was forever picking glue out of her teeth!!! If anyone has never been to Prague you must make a point of checking it out. It has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world....period!!!

OCPS470 - Thanks for the compliments and, just for the record, the emg's that I use are passive but have a switch to engage a controlable active circuit.

mick87 - Prague is absolutely amazing!!! The PGM is holding up very well and is fast becoming my favourite instrument. If you go to My Soundclick Page there is an un-named song on there (i think i named it "dunno - any ideas?) which was done on my PGM. It is far from being finished but it will give you an idea of it.

death cube k - I wouldnt say that they are active pickups at all as they arent active all the time. To make them active you have to engage the active circuitry (the afterburner - what a shite name!!! lol) which has its own volume control. I thought these pickups were developed fairly recently for some new model Jacksons??? Maybe I am wrong......

Culox - My deepest condolences bro......

JS_JS - Happy 500 bro......

Jazzy Boy - Maybe you should change you nickname to Chilled Out Jazzy Boy lol ;-)

dragonchild - Yeah it was me who went to prague. You have to make a point of going there as it is incredible....fact!!! I can also say that the beer is great (and so is the tequila!!!).
