Just got back from a gig and its now 03:00 uk time and i NEED a Kebab (great after-gig food)!!!

On the way back I was listening to Malmsteen's "Rising Force" and I am still completely blown away by that song. Couldn't listen to the rest of the album though as I found it to be a case of once youve heard one sweep-picking lick you know what the rest of the albums gonna sound like. Gotta say that the singer cant half belt them out though!!!

The gig went quite well (as far as working men's clubs go) except for the audience were on a different planet - no reactions what-so-ever so we treated it as a "paid rehearsal". Also my toggle switch on my Les Paul decided to pack up and jet off to Oomer-Goomer land and left me with only my bridge pickup working. Oh joy of joys!!!

Anyways must go to bed as its now 03:09. Mind you, I might have a little whiskey first...........

Helen - As far as I am aware Joe only uses one distortion unit being the Boss DS-1. You could be refering to the Fulltone Ultimate Octave pedal which creates a kind-of driven sound.

Does anyone know what scale/s Joe uses on Oriental Melody as, although I know how to play it, I like to analyse stuff and I cant work out what it is.
