I have returned!!!

Wow I missed the EJ convo that was going on when I was here y-day. I certainly thought on the G3 DVD he didn't look comfortable with Joe & Steve there all together. Looks aren't always a true indicator of course! He was probably thinking "Damn! I can't hear myself!!!"

Clarky: I think you meant "I fully agree with you and support you now"

Mr Nick: why would Joe Stu and Jeff be on stage saying "you can't believe what's coming now...special guest etc" if he'd played first? I never saw any gig and wasn't around here back then so I don't know, but who says they didn't swap around? According to the recording however, I reckon Joe was last, and the other two whichever.

H3000542: thanx buddy for the G3 enlightenment!

Cyberalien: something's amiss, because I recall Dave Gruska going "yes!! my signed t-shirt and CD finally arrived" about a month or so ago.

Yeah, I used to sook about "this is talk to Joe" but I can't get into the chat anyway and I don't care anymore. If you want to see what Joe has to say, you can do that easily now. (Remember scrolly scrolly scrolly? Wasn't that a pain?)

Crystal Planet guitar? What's that? (to tune of MXPX Responsibility)

Dave Grohl's looked like it was made of glass or perspex!...no idea what it was, I couldn't figure it out.

Whoops! Lots to read...I'll just skim...

Leanna/H302/Whoever else: The other day there was questions about G3 Jam: Joe sings Going Down, Steve & Mike K sing Mama, Eric sings Red House. It's on the DVD/VHS.

Local Yokel: I'm a Uni student...income is 100% generosity from the olds.

last thing I listened to was Come With Us album (Chemical Brothers).

McDave: do you need some kind of counselling? Mention that song once more and I'll be forced to call the loony bin to come and pick you up!!! Some things are beyond a joke, man. (jk!!!)

Joe!!! Have you ever thought about making ring tones for mobile phones? I'd love to hear "Echo" coming out of my pocket:

[bass]bom bom...bada bum bum...bom bom...bada bum bum...etc

[lead]da do do do di doo doo...da do do do di doo doo...etc

what do you think?

Oh yeah, I forgot. Just moved into a new unit. Whoopie doo. Living out of boxes still. Whitegoods not turning up until Wednesday...eek! I've run out of undies that fit..."currently suffering in my jocks" (The Castle) no washing machine or FRIDGE (how am I supposed to eat?) for a few more days...

Hey there...wow a day after I ask for a ring-tone I get one...(not the one I wanted but hey...)

DCK: Pizza the Hut!!! Remember that movie Spaceballs? Just talking about it the other day.

Ovation: someone rang up and requested that song (de do do do de da da da) on radio once, and they played Ob-la-di Ob-la-da (Beatles)! Maybe the sound in my pocket was like "jug jigga jug jigga jug jiggety jug jigga JAH JAH"

AOL users not getting Joe-mail: check your spam filters etc...you may be rejecting the mails.

DragonChild: pick Extremist, but you'll find once you have all 3 you'll probably prefer the others. They sort of grow on you, whereas the Extremist jumps out and fades away over time. ¿Comprende?

Nick: which one is the the country song!?

Crispin: 2001 G3 was not released. It is a bootleg.

Greg: I was more worried that giving away my (rare) surname would immediately make me identifiable as I'm the only person in this half of the world with that name...but credit card reason is also valid!

Pete Mulas: intense, man...

Clarky: lol on Slipknot, inflatable and Satch CD.

DaveDom: yeah just moved into a 1 bed unit!!! No room for dogs! :( I usually flush my crap, but each to his own I always say...(!)

Just about to get my sbemail fix...

LIMO ZEEN

What is the deal with that Kron video? Media player 9 says connecting etc and then nothing happens. ie it loads but nothing plays. So I press play and it does all that handshake business again. BAH

STINY! Get me a danish!!!

Anyone: what are the 2 orange pedals in this photo...and the one with blue writing?

Well, better head off...fridge coming today. Best if I'm there when it shows!!!

Later - BEN

PS Joe, keep crankin' the music...what about Traveller for ring-tone?!? I love that bit: "wah wah wah waaaah wahwahwah wah wah wah waaaah wahwahwah" etc heh heh...

Hey bods

Death/Austin/Davedom: I knew they were Boss somethings...just that he put the tape over the names! I thought the digitech switch thingy might have something to do with his harmoniser. The picture on the webcast wasn't too crash hot, it was difficult to recognise!!!

Shirley: surely you're not serious?

Where the heck is my fridge?!?

Why am I the only person that couldn't see that KRON thing? What was it anyway? I'll try again in a sec.

I suck at those easy games. Keep landing on top of the things. I landed on a bottle and the wheel wouldn't move forward, it could only jump...weird...

I just wear what I want to wear and do what I want to do. Tsk tsk Austin you know you have to conform to some kind of group or you're not "cool" and you'll be unpopular...

I always used to get clothes that felt comfortable and didn't look awful, and these days I just wear t-shirt and shorts (making sure my knees aren't visible standing up and that my undies are above the shorts - vertically I mean) with !!!sandals!!! and everyone else can please themselves. I don't need to look like someone else. I prefer the opposite actually...

Prep (to me) means the year of school between kindergarten and grade 1. (Which I didn't do...I went straight to grade 1.)
Hey wow, Jelly Man you just did the exact same thing I did, except yesterday...

Davelas: he should use glow-in-the-dark ninja turtle stickers...they were the rage @10 years ago!!! Put Shredder on the super chorus, Leonardo on the flanger...

Boyd: that's no good, man. No good at all.

Smithers'son: I asked about it last week: the digitech pedal goes to his harmoniser, which he has on a rack.

Any blokes that wear make-up...hmmm...unless your name is Gene Simmonds...hmmm...not very manly...

Silmarien: *beep* job and the *beep* electricity *beeeep* not working *beeeeeeeeeep* 4 *beep* hours *beeeep* the *beeeeep* stupid *beeeeeeep* waitress *beeep* what a load of *beep* *beeeeeeep* *beeep*.

I forgot about the chat too! Oh well, whatever, nevermind.

Have I got an interesting story:

Last night at a farewell BBQ for a friend, her sister, boyfriend and this other guy sang a song (real sentimental one), and for the last chorus, Matty quickly grabbed one of those clip-on capo jiggers and we had an "instant upkey" !!! It was hilarious!

It was like: "look over there!" #keychange#

Wow my posts always seem to go on a bit don't they...either that or I do 3 at a time...

oops. World Cup (the REAL one) starts tonight! It's at 11:15PM though, I think I'll go to bed. Watch the last few hours at the crack of dawn.

And now, for a few things that are completely different:

I'm thinking chocolate sounds like a plan right now...where the heck is my fridge?...snare drum sounded wicked this morning, don't know what I did to it...can't wait until holidays are over and semester starts and finishes and holidays start again...easy on the brandy snaps, too much of anything is too much...5 snags and a steak are not an appetiser...

Just some random thoughts there.

Jelly Man: is that like Mr Jelly (Mr Men)? Aeroplane Jelly for meeeee? Green Jelly? (Little pig, little pig let me in...) Man, I've got jelly crystals at home, but I can't make jelly because I DON'T HAVE A FRIDGE (where the heck is it?).

This fridge of mine...location??? I'm hungry, it's been 10 days...need fridge...need food...cold drink...mmm water...

Where's Avarice? I feel another brawl coming on...10-1 odds for DCK, anyone care to make a bet?

Oops. Over 580 posts since I was last here...I'm sorry if I don't reply or am ignorant to your posts...

Just quietly, my thoughts about this imminent war: I wouldn't be surprised if Bushy is trying to bluff Nasser (I mean Saddam) Hussein into disarming by pretending that he's going to attack and bluffing the whole world into thinking he's serious about attack. Either that, or he IS as idiotic as people think. He is a politician so I may just be right...but don't tell anyone! Loose lips sink ships etc
Clarky: Sorry man, but you are no longer king of T2J. The "Longest Frigging Post" (official name, note well) now belongs to Twig!!!

Welcome back Twig.

Jelly Man: also a spider? What?

2 Ton: this morning I had SBM in the CD player...last night it was that and No Doubt (Trajic Kingdom). One By One got a bit of a flogging last year!

Tragic spelling more like it...

Death: found Gargoyles.mp3 on the computer...although I'm not a fan of music with "fake" drums, this is good. Probably because it almost sounds realistic. That ride "roll" sets it off!!!

Anyone sick of me going on about a fridge, it's coming Tuesday morning. So, sorry if I am so busy eating/drinking cold stuff that you don't hear from me for a few years...it's just that...it's been ages...I'm thirsty...I'm hungry...

BEN

oh yeah, NeilYoda: everywhere I go, next door seems to be playing Eminem through some very sub-bass stereo. All I can hear is "boom...ba-boom-boom...boom...ba-boom-boom" etc I actually heard the rest of the song for the first time last night in the ads between the cricket. After weeks of only the bass.

Hi to everyone (except Silmarien...Yo to Silmarien.)

Something I've always wanted to know:

How do the post codes in UK work? I don't understand them at all.

PhryllyDom: I just listened to your samples, and I must say, I do like the "mellowness" (whatever that word is) of your compositions. I have always been a fan of acoustic+electric mixtures such as Tommy Emmanuel, who seem to be able to fit both together. Well done.

Mick: I reckon the best Canadian band is "Celine Dion and the Bryans"

Yoda: I like thumping bass, but when you're nextdoor (or outside the car that's going past) the mid and high frequencies get blocked by the walls and it's all you can hear. That's when it sounds crap!

Oh yeah, SBM and EOC have finally been released in Australia. Lucky I got imports, there's no way I'd wait this long to get them. The only differences are that the copyright etc says Australia instead of US, and the price is $5-10 less. Disappointed that flavor and traveler weren't translated into our language though...I wonder what those words mean...

Foo Fighters 2nd album was translated. The Colour and the Shape, as opposed to what the US language version was.

Heh heh stirring again.

Mowlie: ta for the explanation on the post codes, it all just looked like gobbledygook to me!

Clarky: Or I could play "Nobody Likes A Bogan" by Area 7 (or was it 28 Days? An Aussie band anyway).

Anybody: what notes are in the Xmb5 chord?

Furious George: watch your mouth...it's "doing" not "diong"

Jelly Man: I would have thought that the thicker end would go over your shoulder, so that the weight of the guitar is spread out more. Of course if your guitar is light it comes down to aesthetics! And comfort I suppose...

Venti: Haven't heard it for a while, but there's something about "If you don't finish yer #?#?# ye cannae have any pudding" or something. Excuse the ambiguity!

OurDave: in Oz we call both of them chips...can be confusing...normally S&V is purple here. Light blue for plain, dark blue for whatever the company wants it to be. Basically the only standards are s&v purple, plain light blue, chicken dark green, tomato sauce red, barbeque orange. All the rest depend on the maker.

Our Dave: (as apposed to O'Dave/McDave) oh yeah there's poker chips too eh...and woodchips, not to mention references to sporting methods...

Clarky: so taking those examples, in the key of Bb: Bb C D Eb F G A

Bb=Bb+D+F
Cm=C+Eb+G
Dm=D+F+A
Eb=Eb+G+Bb
F=F+A+C
Gm=G+Bb+D
Amb5=A+C+Eb

Are those chords correct?

Someone posted that TechTV thing yesterday. And it didn't work then either.

I'm pretty sure the moos would be pretty straightforward...although he might have to use a bass to get the right tone...

Riffmaster84: I think the question to be asked is "Yngwie would you consider doing G3 with Satch/Vai" and I'm pretty sure the answer is "no."

Invigor: at the end of "Crushing Day" it sounds like a key change, but I could be wrong. I'm sure there are plenty of them.

I think everyone that records should have a go at the T2J CD. It should be called "Moo Moo Moo" and have a picture of Avarice on the front, seeing as though he is the most avid supporter of the cause. Death I hope you're on it too...

Invigor: you mean like an up-key? One of those "clip on a capo for the last chorus" sort of moments?

Nick: if you don't know what "moo" means, you obviously read T2J with your eyes closed. Read one of Avarice's posts.

T2J CD: man, I wanna contribute!!! Yesterday I recorded a @4 minute acoustic rhythm I just made up...sounds good!!! (Demo of course.) Okay, I have no way to produce anything of quality in the near future, so maybe I could be on the T2J2 or 3!

All the people (at least 3 I noticed) who want drums, just move your little recording studios to my place and I'll do them for you!!! Unlikely I believe, however I just thought I'd say!

Aaarrrggghhh!!! Frustration!!! I'm keen as mustard!!!
