ovation1 - Thanks for the info. I haven't been to Collective Soul's website for a long time. I went to it when Blender came out and the whole site was pretty lame. It was basically one big commercial that said "buy the new album". So I haven't been back since...haha. I'll go take a look now though.

guitarded boy - That was weird. Here I Go Again was the song that was playing on the radio when my alarm woke me up today.

Hi everyone...

Acoustic Zen - Welcome to the site. What's your favorite JS song and album?

dorje - Welcome... Surfing is a great choice for favorite album...do you have a favorite song?
Kda - What did you mean by your comment about Speed Of Light? It would be fun for Satch to play, or fun for you to play? I've figured out the basics to the song...I can tab it out for you if you'd like.
floydfan28 - Officially, no you are not allowed to tape Joe's concerts.
zaximus - I think Joe's other guitars are still missing.
The Local Person - We call groups like that "Street Teams" here in the US. I think it would be cool to set up a "Satriarmy", but Joe is signed with Epic / Sony and I'm sure he gets a lot of promotion that way.

peanutlover - The new parts of the webcast go live at 10:00 AM Pacific time, but you can watch it at your convenience at any time. Each part runs for a week.

jblaze1 - Why is it that if you send something by ship, it's called cargo...but if you send it by car, it's called a shipment?

Homer no function beer well without.

shiloh2000 - I've always heard that you should start on acoustic and then move to electric. It's easier to learn acoustic and move to electric than it is to learn electric and move to acoustic. However, just because that's true doesn't mean you have to do things that way. Play the one that you want to play the most. If you don't like acoustic that much, just play electric.

Hi everyone. I bought GHS 3 today. I went to a bunch of different music stores and finally found it at Dimple Records here in Folsom. I'm still listening to it now, but I'll post a cool review sometime soon.

Oh, and to whoever was having chatroom problems...it's always worked fine for me. If you are the only person in the room, it will look like it isn't working...but if you try talking to yourself, it works. Just wait for someone else to show up.

webmaster - An audio-only stream of the webcast would be cool...thanks. :-)

danny k - Welcome to the site... :-)
Kda - I've only tabbed out the first few parts of Speed Of Light. I guess they'd be the "verse" and "chorus" parts, if the song had words. I haven't tabbed any of the solos, so I don't think I can help you...sorry.
Mr Nick - Do you already have an old version of QT on your computer? If not, the download time will be longer.
Buzzelli - That's cool! I love hearing stories like yours...
NonSmoker - You're not getting off that easy. You must read all 6,000 posts again...there will be a test. ;-)

NonSmoker - Check your email.

peanutlover - The studio version of The Crush Of Love is on the Dreaming #11 EP. There are four songs on it...the first is TCOL and the next three are live songs.
Osteo - Joe usually plays the same set each night. So I'm 99.99% sure that you heard on 8/24 in Atlanta, GA what I heard on 8/11 in Concord, CA:

Flying In A Blue Dream
Crushing Day
Devil's Slide
Satch Boogie
Cool #9
The Crush Of Love / Memories
Mind Storm
Seven String
Midnight
Starry Night
Always With Me, Always With You
The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing
Raspberry Jam Delta-V
Summer Song

Hi everyone... Did anyone notice that I disappeared for a few days? LOL. I'm in my dorm in Long Beach now...I've been here since Friday. I had no idea that I wouldn't have internet access until today. So that kinda sucks. Anyway, I'm catching up on messages now...is there anything new and important in Satchland?

Hi everyone. Here's long post #234...

RDG - I need to talk to a friend of mine to see if he'll go with me to your gig. I'll email you in a day or two with a yes or no.

akreepish1 - The Bone Bash III thing is just a one-off gig for 107.7 The Bone.
NonSmoker - I'm in college now and it's nearly impossible to find people that play music who aren't drunk all the time and don't do any drugs. So I've been playing bass by myself a lot lately. It gets boring sometimes, but it does mean that I have a lot of practice time.
TheBob - Yeah, I was bummed about the short version of Why as well.
crushingday62 - I've seen The Beautiful Guitar for sale at CDNow.
njbeast - I don't think Joe gives lessons anymore. Sorry.
Fat Buds Garrett - Joe really started getting into the guitar when he heard that Jimi Hendrix died.
pleasedonteatme - Yeah, Joe was already there. I like your username, by the way. ;-)
xxangraxx - Look through some of my old messages. I've mentioned the tour set list a few times. I know I have a lot of posts, so start at the most recent ones and move backwards. You'll find it quicker that way.

It's cool to see posts from a lot of people saying how much they like The Traveler. It's an awesome song. :-)

Hi everyone. :-)

I'm able to watch the webcast now. I have a faster internet connection here in my dorm, and it looked great. Way to go, Jon.

Today was my second day of classes. I was sitting in my Physical Anthropology lecture and my professor went into this whole deal about people making a PARADIGM SHIFT. LOL...that was really cool. So that song has been in my head for the past hour or so.

Random question of the day: Someone on this site ordered and built their own guitar from Warmoth.com a while ago. Who was it? I can't remember... I was wondering roughly how much you spent and what kind of guitar you got.

Mr Nick - Congrats! :-)

The crippler - It's just you. Or it might be your IE settings.
shiloh2000 - I like John Petrucci from Dream Theater a lot.
Master Yoda - I don't usually visit IUMA sites because my internet connection at home is so slow. But I'm here at school now, so give me your address and I'll check out your songs.
mak - Is it possible to record XM radio?
masterdrummer1 - Z.Z. is credited for a few songs on Crystal Planet because he named them.

maromax - Your English is very good! You speak the language better than some native speakers that I know...LOL.

guitarzbabe - My favorites on SBM are Chords Of Life, Mind Storm, and The Traveler. Heck, I also like New Last Jam, Belly Dancer, and You Saved My Life. I could go on listing songs forever. The only two I'm not too crazy about are Mountain Song and The Journey.
akreepish1 - I haven't had a chance to write the GHS3 review yet...this college thing keeps getting in the way of everything, LOL. I actually haven't had a chance to give the CD a second listen, yet. Shame on me!
JS Clone 1 - If you could send me the 4 videos that you gave Joe that would be cool. I have a fast connection here at school and I can help spread them to other people.

Mr Nick / jblaze1 - Try http://neilmorgan.iuma.com/ instead.

Master Yoda - Your songs are cool. I've only listened to them a few times, but I REALLY like the first one...Crimson. Great job!

danny k - I never thought of comparing guitar playing to typing, but the analogy is a great one.
bassfiend - You kind of answered your own question there. Stu isn't the bassist on this album because he is more of a fusiony bassist, and Joe wanted to make a rock album. Matt's a good rock bassist, so that's why Joe used him.

AlaricTheViking - I bet an SBM transcription book will be out soon. I think there's a book out for each of his albums so I don't think they would stop making them now.

Hi everyone... I'm going away for the weekend. I should be back here sometime on Sunday.

Furious George - Welcome! :-)

kholdstayr - Joe plays Why after Mountain Song. It's from the album The Extremist and is my favorite JS song.
climber - No. If we keep bugging the webmaster it'll annoy him (and Joe) and we won't get any more webcasts in the future. Joe will think that his fans are selfish and annoying and he won't take us as seriously anymore.

Hi everyone... I'm back after an awesome weekend.

I read all of the posts but I don't think I saw an answer about the Warmoth guitar. Who here built one recently, what was it, and about how much did you spend total?

The scary thing that someone posted here recently reminded me of the funny race car driver insanity test. Does anyone have a link to that?

webmaster - Thanks for the updates. :-) You said that the Amsterdam SBM footage isn't DVD-quality, but what about the G3 footage you filmed at the Warfield in 2001? Is it possible that some of that might be used in any new projects?

Master Yoda - I noticed the similarity between Crimson and Crystal Planet...that's cool, in a way.
ovation1 - You mentioned Steve Smith (Journey) in your post about drummers. Did you know that he's the S in Stu's GHS project? I don't know if you have any of their three CDs.

Led Zeppelin did some weird stuff when they recorded John's drums. The drums for When The Levee breaks were recorded in a stairwell of a castle. John was playing them on the bottom floor and microphones were hung at the top. Awesome.

One last thing...are you planning on going to any JS shows in October?

Dunk - T2J works fine for me.
johnny b - I met Joe without a backstage pass. A lot of us just wait by the bus and meet him as he's leaving the gig. I imagine that's how the non-winners have done it on this tour.
Kda - I have AOL and it stinks...LOL. Download a separate copy of IE or Netscape and use that to look at pages that freeze in AOL...like this webcast.
WapoStyle - You have to wait until midnight California time before you can post show reviews. In the past, people would post reviews before the shows would happen...basically using those pages as a message board.
my ibanez - Joe probably won't be back in Europe until mid 2003 at the earliest.
gregwomble - Additional Creations was given away for free with the first pressing of Engines Of Creation. You can't buy any more new copies, so look in used sections of music stores. You should be able to find a copy on ebay for under $10. That's how I got mine.
michelle - I love Cheez-Its!!! LOL...
satch man99 - I'd love a new G3 DVD but I don't think it'll happen.
Ksquared - The Joe / Steve rumors have been around forever. It'll happen eventually.

Cockroaches suck. I was chasing one all around my dorm for over two hours last night. I emptied everything out of my room and sprayed it to death. There was a white spot (the bug spray) on my carpet about 6 inches across that surrounded the cockroach when I was finished killing it...LOL. Those things are fast, though. I tried to kill it a dozen times. I tried to drop a cube (24 cans) of soda on it twice and the little freak wouldn't die! Cockroaches and Keith Richards...man...

Furious George - I think this site has been around since JS95 came out. I don't know for sure though...I've only been here since EOC came out.

Chess Music - Look through my post history...I listed the webcast setlist somewhere. Find my posts from the day of or the day after the Amsterdam gig.
njbeast - The Japanese album has an extra track to encourage those in Japan to buy that version, instead of the cheaper American import.
ovation1 - Thanks for the info. I remember now that I read that part of your post but I didn't remember it then for some reason...haha. Let me know what you think of the GHS CDs once you get them...oh, and I hope you're able to see Satch sometime in October. He probably won't be back for quite a while, so I hope it works out for you this time.
Plum Loco - I found your IUMA page where you talk about your Warmoth guitar for a minute or two. I was just wondering how much the whole thing cost (roughly).

Hi everyone. The roaches have taken over! There's over a thousand of them in my room right now so I have t...no, I'm just kidding. All I saw was the one roach, and with the amount of bug spray I've used in my room I don't think any will be coming back for a long time. The screen on one of my windows is bent, so I think it crawled in that way. Maintenance should fix the problem soon...I can't wait. ;-)

1989RG560 - Joe wears Oakley Eye Jackets. I'm not sure what kind of pants he's wearing on the CP cover, but I'd try to find some pants like these, they're so cool. I don't know what brand they are, though.

There was one episode in Season 12 where Homer prevented the team from moving and becoming the Albuquerque Isotopes. Well, the new minor league baseball team in Albuquerque was just named the Isotopes...all because of The Simpsons. Isn't that cool?

Kraftwerk
Sex Pistols
Black Sabbath
AC/DC
Dells
MC5

honkey - I'm sure there are some people here that are interested in your lyrics and stuff, but this page probably isn't the best page to post that kind of stuff.

akreepish1 - I love that joke. 10 types of people...hehe. So how long do you think it'll be before someone says "I don't get it."? ;-)

For Adun - Yeah, we have enough nukes to destroy the world several times over. Russia can do the same thing, and so can a few other countries. The thing is, though, we aren't planning on using them right now. Our military has moved beyond that. Did you know that the stealth bombers that were bombing Afghanistan last year took off from Missouri and reached their targets without having to refuel? When we can do that we don't need to use nukes.

Saddam has been trying to develop nukes for years. I know that he's going to try to nuke the USA as soon as possible...that's been obvious for a while. If he doesn't do it, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sell one to bin Ladin. I don't really want to wait and see if that happens.

Sorry for getting political...
