PJH - I don't know what else to say. I've used Ebay around 10-15 times and I've never had a problem with it. I've always trusted people and they've always come through for me. I see that you live in Finland. I don't remember if you mentioned this in your original post or not, but where was the guitar being shipped from? If it's coming from the US, chances are it's being shipped by boat. I bought an Aerosmith music book from a guy in England on Ebay and it took 2 months to get to me. I imagine a guitar would take longer. If you've sent this guy several emails and he hasn't responded, maybe it's because he shipped it already and he's just ignoring you. I'm sure you'll have the guitar if you wait a few more weeks. Keep me posted, though...I'd like to hear how it turns out.

michelle - LOL! :-)
JS Clone 2 - Welcome back. You get a million bonus points if you read all the posts that we made while you were away. Congrats on your 7th/10th/11th finishes. Were any US teams there? How did they do?

JS Clone 2 - Actually, it kinda does have to do with you. JS Clone 1 said he might go to that thing with you if you were up to it. Isn't it great how he volunteers you for stuff when you're outta the country? ;-)

CHIAFOUR - Go to http://www.stuarthamm.net/. They have a partial tab for the LISF solo.
booboo - Mas Tequila!
chocoholic - The quiz? It was going to be about T2J stuff, but I was just joking...hehe. There won't be a real one because I'm too lazy to write it.
PhrygianDominant - If there's anything we can do to help, just let us know.

I just bought tickets (second row, left center) to see Arlo Guthrie in January. It should be pretty cool. He's playing at my school, in the same small venue (1200 seats) that I saw Jody Williams / Johnnie Johnson / Jimmie Vaughan / Bo Diddley last year.

xtremeshredder - Joe seems to do the G3 thing every other year. If I was going to guess, I'd say we'll see him do another G3 tour in the late summer or fall of 2003.

JS Clone 2 - You don't know who he is? Man, you've been away for too long. ;-)

JS Clone 1 - I know you didn't volunteer JSC2, but it sounds more fun when I say it that way. ;-)

pakihaki - There isn't a bonus CD for SBM. The Eight Steps appeared on the Japanese version of the album...you might be able to find that song on Morpheus or Kazaa. Slick is still unreleased.
Invigor - I bought Reel Satriani off of Ebay as well. It should be here any day now. I can't wait.

stu hacking - Check your email. :-) And I forgot to mention it, but if you want to hear another clip or two, just let me know.

Mr Nick - I have it too.
Clarky - Can you try to start putting all of your replies into one post, like myself and several other people here do? It'll make things easier to read for all of us, and it takes up less space. The guitar lessons are different, though...it's probably better to have those in a separate post.
OzzyBradBoy - He probably won't be back for a while. I'd say no sooner than late 2003.
hurrayforguitars - There used to be a link to the Star-Spangled Banner up on this site. I can email it to you. Does your inbox have any attachment limits?
matt king - Do you have this design on the internet anywhere? I wanna see! ;-)

Kda - What's that about Friends on LISF?

ovation1 - It stinks that you won't get to see Joe this time around...but maybe you'll get lucky somehow. If not, I hope he comes back to Japan soon.
Chel - The album that your friend is missing is very rare. It's Joe's first album, and he produced it on his own and sold it out of the trunk of his car. There are only 400-500 in the world today. They pop up on Ebay every once in a while, usually for upwards of $300.

If you wanted to get him a cool gift, keep your eyes open on Ebay. You might be able to find an old CD single that he doesn't have, or maybe a cool keychain or tshirt. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask us here...we can help you out.

Hiltrix - You're asking if Joe has any more songs like The Reaper? Do you mean The Reaper Rap, from Bill And Ted's Bogus Journey? That was Steve Vai, not Joe Satriani.
peanutlover - Why is my all-time favorite Joe Satriani song. Cool. :-)

sparrow - There are only 200? Every time I hear about it I hear less and less. First I thought it was 500, then I heard 400, and now 200? Well...that just makes me want one even more.

njbeast - Have you sent those pictures to the webmaster? Are they already up on the site here?
guitaurus - I love The Crush Of Love from Time Machine. I think the LISF version of Rubina is better than the Time Machine version, though.
masterdrummer1 - Yeah, the Eagles are killing the Cowboys. It's ugly. It's 41-13 right now and the Eagles are getting ready to score again. I mentioned the game because Duce Staley is playing for the Eagles, and people cheer for him by chanting Duuuuuuuuuce.

sparrow - Ok, I haven't heard that interview...probably because I don't live in the UK. ;-) That's cool about your guitar, by the way. Can you get some pictures online somehow? I wanna see it glow.

bong hits3 - It was 102 in Sacramento today? Ouch. I'm glad I'm down in Long Beach for school...even though it was 91 today.
NonSmoker - Your daughter messed you up with the ABC song? LOL. That's ok, as long as you don't try to find an H note on your guitar. ;-)

Hi everyone...

Clarky - So there is an "H" in music? I had no clue...LOL.

Jam007 - That show was never officially released.
sparrow - That looks awesome. I'll explain how to use the links in my next post.
tapper5 - Next, you should try to use the same fingering pattern on different parts of the guitar neck. Instead of starting on C, try starting on A or G. You'll see that you use the same pattern, but the notes will be different (look at some of the past stuff that Clarky has posted here)...
PhrygianDominant - That link didn't work. :-(

Edit: Ok, it works now...LOL. I wonder if Joe knew about the auction...maybe it isn't worth that much to him for some reason (although that would shock me).

For sparrow, and anyone else that doesn't know how to use links on Talk To Joe...

If I explain how to type everything, my examples will show up as links...and that won't help anyone. So, for my examples, I will use {}s instead of []s. When you do them on your own, use []s.

To create a link to http://www.google.com/ where the clickable text is the web address, do the following:

{link}http://www.google.com/{/link} It will look like this: http://www.google.com/

To create a link to http://www.google.com/ where the clickable text is the message "click here", do the following:

{link url="http://www.google.com/"} click here {/link} It will look like this: click here

Of course, you can substitute any web address for http://www.google.com/, and substitute any word(s) for "click here". And again, remember to use []s instead of {}s.

Does that make sense?

gruskada - It'd be cool if you could post other interesting stuff as you come across it.

Speaking of rock biographies, has anyone read Aerosmith's Walk This Way? It's a great book...it's written in interview format (kinda like a play), which is really cool because you can read how things happened from several different points of view. There are a lot of very sad (or funny, depending on your sense of humor) drug stories in the book. I'll stop rambling, though...I don't think there are many Aerosmith fans on T2J.

gruskada - I'd like to read a few more music biographies. I've read Hammer Of The Gods (Led Zeppelin) and the Aerosmith one that I already mentioned. I have a biography on The Yardbirds here in my dorm but I haven't had time to start reading it yet. Out of the books that you've read, which one or two would you recommend?

If you buy the Aerosmith book, make sure you get the official one (Walk This Way, written by Aerosmith and Stephen Davis). There are a few other unofficial / unauthorized biographies out there that aren't nearly as good as the real thing.

I'd absolutely love to read a book about Joe. I mention that on this message board every now and then. But I think you're right, Joe's not really the kind of guy that most publishers are probably looking for. Oh well, it's their loss.

PhrygianDominant - "BuyTheBook"...I like it. ;-)

rogermks - Joe Satriani does have one greatest hits album out. It's called The Beautiful Guitar and was released in Europe. You can order it online as an import. If you want something else, go for his Live In San Francisco double album. It's live, but it does have most of his hits on it.
