Hi everyone. I have a Philosophy midterm in just over 4 hours. I should be studying for it, but oh well...haha.

My first Satch gig was 4/12/00 in Sacramento. It was the first night of the EOC tour.

DaveMc - Yeah, there will be passes for the MN show. The "a" isn't there next to the tour date because no one has listed his- or herself as attending the show. Since you're the first person to do so, you have to do it from the site drop down box.

jblaze1 - You're not hounding me...don't worry about it.
For Adun - I'm going to download the rehearsal this afternoon. I'll let you know if it works.
Clarky - Grand Theft Auto III is such a fun game. It's very violent, but it's a great way to let out anger and aggression.
ovation1 - That sounds cool...let me know when you finally get and listen to the GHS stuff.

Hi everyone. I took my midterm today. I have absolutely no idea whether or not I did a good job...LOL. I'm just glad I'm done with it.

webmaster - Thanks a bunch for making the webcast downloadable. To answer your question, I really enjoyed the interviews with the band. It was great to finally hear Jeff discuss his drum setup, for example. For a suggestion for the future, I would love to see more "The making of..." footage similar to the Reel Satriani video. I know that can be hard to do sometimes, but I thought I'd throw the suggestion out there anyway.

The Local Person - I'll watch the rehearsal again soon to try to figure out what they're saying in I Believe...I'll get back to ya.
Coren - I love those moments when someone up on stage locks eyes with you or points at you. I've had that happen to me with both Joe and John Petrucci at the last few shows I've attended. Like you said, it's a great way to feel connected.
Stultzie - If I had to guess, Joe probably hasn't played in the northwest recently because it's hard to find a promoter up there.
stu hacking - That sounds good...let me know when you get to listen to the CD.
JS Clone 1 - The radio bits in GTA3 are pretty funny. There are a lot of hidden dirty jokes (similar to Bart's prank calls to Moe on The Simpsons). One of the DJs in the game is named Michael Hunt, for example.
Stu Clone - LMAO @ it runs in your jeans!
For Adun - You exceeded your download limit again? Oh the things people do for Joe Satriani. ;-)
michelle - I don't think I have an accent. I've lived everywhere so everything just blends together. I've lived in Michigan, Connecticut, two different parts of Louisiana, and four different parts of California.

Stu Clone - You have to know the secret handshake in order to send the pictures to Jon. Nah...seriously now, just email them to webmaster@satriani.com. Put something in the subject that doesn't make the file look like a virus, and he'll upload them eventually. I think he's way behind on pictures, though, so it'll probably take a while.

Ok, I just finished transcribing the conversation Matt and Jeff were having during I Believe (in the rehearsal webcast).

For those that haven't seen it, they're listening to the FIABD version of I Believe while talking to each other in order to work out a live arrangement for the song. They're joking with each other...

Jeff (whispering / singing): ...sends me to a better place.

Jeff: Here we go.

Matt: Here we go.

Both (singing to the tune of I Believe): I'm Habib.

Matt: Ham and cheese.

(((I can't make out this part.)))

Matt: You guys pick them, right?

Jeff: I was following you.

Matt: Drummer cop-out right there.

Jeff: I was following the new bass player...we can make it up as we go along.

Jeff (in time with the song): Boom boom boom.

Jeff: Just keep them on the downbeat...let's keep them on the downbeat, I'll go boom boom.

Matt: You guys end right there, right? You don't do the double chorus.

Jeff: I don't know what to make of it.

Matt: Just play the drums.

Jeff: I just play it.

Matt: Shut up and play the drums.

Jeff: That's what I'm here for.

Hamerhedsharkasaurus - Welcome to the site! What are your favorite JS songs and favorite JS albums?

Tororo - Welcome... You probably listened to a soundpage (that's what those magazine records were called) of The Crush Of Love. I think it was in Guitar World.
jblaze1 - That's a good joke, but you typed it wrong. It should be: What ever happened to Preparations A through G? ;-)
everyone - Do you all notice how I always try to ask the newbies a few questions (favorite songs and albums) once they introduce themselves, so they don't feel ignored? Has anyone noticed that NO ONE has ever given me an answer? LOL...why do I try?

RDG - Hi. I'm doing pretty good...I've been taking a lot of midterms lately, though, so that's kinda put me in a miserable mood. Good luck at your show on 11/6. I'd love to go but I don't think I can find a way there...sorry.

jblaze1 - LOL! I really like that one.
Crystal Jammer - To me, it sounds like he's saying "let's turn it up".
XCrystal PlanetX - Go to http://www.getright.com/ and download the program. It allows you to resume incomplete downloads, so you don't have to stay on AOL forever.
drafter37 - I agree. The studio version of Time doesn't sound as "different" as the studio version of Raspberry Jam Delta-V, though. The one that really strikes me as odd is Devil's Slide. The studio version is a little slower and a lot more laid back, in a sense.
JS Clone 1 - On the PS2 version of the game, the radio was activated by pushing either the L3 or R3 button (I forget which one it was). Those buttons are the joystick buttons...push them down and you hear them click. Those buttons are rarely used in games, so it's quite possible that the feature was left out of the Kazaa version (assuming it was an emulated version of the PS2 game...?).

JS Clone 1 - No, I haven't looked at any of your videos. I have the address though, so I'll look sometime this weekend.

Hi everyone. I found a cool picture on the satriani.com home page, so I thought I would mention it here. It's from the 5/19/00 webcast show. http://www.satriani.com/2000/road/lwpg.cgi?start=18;showkey=1101;dir=2000-05-19/;showimg=2000-05-19/1101.jpg

I decided that today is a Satriani weekend. I'm going to listen to everything. I'm in the middle of Surfing With The Alien (Satch Boogie) right now. I listened to Not Of This Earth a few minutes ago...man, the outro to Hordes Of Locusts is cool.

r6rocker - Hehe...sorry about not asking you. ;-) I ooked at when your first post was, and I was on vacation at that time...so I guess that explains it.

ovation1 - Happy 162! LOL...sorry, I felt like doing that to someone.
danny k - Look through my recent posts... I tried to explain the link feature. I think I did a pretty good job.
Phydeaux 3 - ASCII stuff is really cool. FYI, part of the "ust" in "Joust" was a little crooked. ;-)
XCrystal PlanetX - That's a cool picture.
RonnieJ - Email the pictures to the webmaster and he might put them up on the site.
Invigor - Pretty cool!
michelle - LOL... Have you heard the line "Insanity is hereditary...you get it from your kids!"? ;-)

Well everyne, I'm still listening to SWTA...Circles just finished. I love the bit from 1:26-1:33.

jblaze1 - Are you talking about the comment I made about Phydeaux 3's ASCII file? I'm just joking...sorry if it didn't come across that well. It was really cool, and I was just trying to be funny by pointing out the minor mistake. I guess you'd have to know me in real life...there are a lot of little things like that that can bother me sometimes. It was all in fun...sorry again.

Hi everyone. I made it from Not Of This Earth through The Extremist today. I'll listen to Time Machine through Strange Beautiful Music tomorrow. Good stuff. :-)

punkdude75 - I'm currently listening to a cover of Wild Horses, by a band called The Sundays. My friend's band is playing this song (they have a female singer, as do The Sundays). I had heard that version of song before so I downloaded it...I've been listening to it a lot lately. The original version by The Rolling Stones is awesome of course, but there's something cool about hearing a girl sing it that can REALLY sing. LOL.

michelle - I like that. I blew the surprise, though. I opened it and turned to look at the TV when it happened...so I had to refresh it.
JS Clone 1 - I'm downloading your videos as I'm typing. I'll tell you what I think later tonight.
821dx - Joe played Taiwan's national anthem? Cool.
Dave Mc - One of a few things might be going on. 1.) The show isn't listed because the promoters haven't decided on a price structure yet. 2.) Ticketmaster might not be selling tickets for the show. Check the venue's website and/or call their box office to see what company sells their tickets. Ticketmaster doesn't sell everything...LOL.
Ya Yo Gakk - You were disappointed by Alive In An Ultra World? You have to give it a few more listens.

I'm listening to Time Machine I now. The Mighty Turtle Head NEEDS MORE COWBELL!!! Don't fear the cowbell...

webmaster - Thanks for the update. Do you have any news on the videos from the 107.7 The Bone thing?

JS Clone 1 - I watched your videos...cool stuff. Who filmed the FTLOG performance? Someone forgot to have the camera on the guitarist for the beginning of the guitar solo. ;-)
njbeast - Go to http://www.mysongbook.com/...they have the Mind Storm tab. You have to download a tab player, though.
XCrystal PlanetX - It isn't really up to the webmaster. I don't think Joe even has much of a choice. Sony won't release another live album so close to the release of Live In SF. I'm sure that a lot of people that see Joe live now for the first time end up buying Live In SF. They would buy a newer release instead, if it was out...and that would kill the LISF sales. So by waiting a few years, Sony will make more money.
guitarzbabe - I'm a guy and I found nothing wrong with the comments that were made. I'm sure Joe would've laughed. I think Joe has actually met Michelle once or twice, and he has even gone so far as to personally mention her name on an internet webcast. Trust me, he wouldn't be offended.
jblaze1 - You got the link to work! Congrats...hehe. :-)
PhrygianDominant - The webmaster said a while ago that the quality of the master footage of the webcast isn't good enough to be officially released.
elpp - 10 wins in 11 games? Way to go!
jeffd72nl - Welcome to the site!

PhrygianDominant - You do have a point. A lot of people here would buy the webcast. Now only if there was a way Joe could release it only through the internet...take orders and only produce a few thousand copies. I wish. Hey, how was your pizza? I just finished eating a Bacon Double Cheeseburger Feast pizza from Domino's...I love pizza.

RDG - I think you missed my joke. It's from an SNL skit. Click here to read the transcript from the skit that I'm talking about. The cowbell is kinda heavy in the original (Don't Fear) The Reaper, so I was saying the same thing about The Mighty Turtle Head. Don't fear the cowbell. ;-)

PhrygianDominant - Yes...Bacon Cheeseburger Feast. It's an awesome pizza...bacon, hamburger, cheddar, and mozzarella. It's delicious...although it isn't very popular. Every time I order it I have to tell the person what's on it. LOL.

For Adun - I had a Satch dream sometime last year. It was between the LISF and G3 tours. I was at a show and Joe was giving free guitar picks to everyone. They were HUGE and they had an entire message written on the back (instead of just a logo and a signature). It was a note from Joe to the fans saying that he was going to play a bunch of cool songs on tour, like Time Machine and The Bells Of Lal (Part II)...and at the very end it said "JUST KIDDING!". Yeah, I have weird dreams. At least I know my dream didn't come true, because Joe played a lot of cool songs this time around, in Europe at least. Also, it's cool to see someone else that likes the Bacon Cheeseburger Feast pizzas. You have good taste.
ovation1 - I know where you can buy the other two GHS CDs, but I'll email you privately because it's confusing.

Hi everyone. Here are a few numbers relating to Talk To Joe... 10048 posts by 2044 members comes to an average of 4.91 posts per member. So Joe is actually ahead of the average with his 8 posts. But if you look at it another way, four of the posters here (PhrygianDominant, jblaze1, JS Clone 1, and myself) together account for over 10% of the posts on Talk To Joe.

Grammar Stuff - Use "I" before "E", except after "C". We live in a weird society. Has anyone heard that one before? Look at the rule that I just stated, and then the words "weird society".

Narface - Were the Asia shows the full "Evening With..." format? Was the set list the same as Europe?

dragonchild - Happy 53rd!
locust7 - Cool! Let us know how the clinic is.
PhyrgianDominant - Wanna see the pizza? LOL... Click here to go to one of the Domino's pages. Click the feast button in the lower left corner, and choose bacon double cheeseburger from the drop-down box.

randy8843 - The songs are listed in two columns on SBM. Start with Oriental Melody and Belly Dancer, and end with The Traveler and You Saved My Life.

Clarky - Happy Un-Birthday! ;-)
Mr Nick - Cool interview...even though it makes it sound like Joe's Evening With... tour won't make it to the east coast. I like the possibility of another live DVD.
dyer - It was a joke that was blown way out of proportion...it has started a lot of fighting on the page here so it's probably best not to mention it. If you want to find it, read through michelle's recent comments.

Appoggiatura - Welcome to the site!

Narface - That sounds cool. New Last Jam was played in Europe, by the way. It's neat that you got to hear Going Down, though. I love that song.
OpHeSiS - I might be able to go to the Anaheim show. It's a big might, though. I've been to the Grove Theater before. It's a really nice place...definately one of my favorite venues. The floor is set up like a dining room. There are a bunch of tables everywhere, each holding 12 people. You eat an overpriced dinner and then see the concert. The sound at the venue is perfect. You'll have a great time.

Hi everyone...

Joe - Welcome back! :-) It's great to hear that you enjoyed Asia...I'm sure the fans over there had just as much fun. Take your time to rest up, but we really do miss you around here. It'd be cool if you could post here a little more regularly. Also, did you know that your three upcoming shows at the House Of Blues venues (Las Vegas and two in Los Angeles) are 21+? Is there anything you can do to fix that?

Bushmaster78FS - Joe said in a recent interview that he believes in God. That's all that he said about it, so I think that's all we should say about it...it's pretty personal.
michelle - Now that you bought a new copy of the CD, the old one should show up any day now. Let us know when it happens. ;-)
Ya Yo Gakk - I didn't notice that. Most people here think that the first track (I think it's Giant Balls Of Gold) sounds like Hordes Of Locusts.
Ace9 - It is Stu, not boo. :-)
locust7 - Awesome! Stu rocks.

pglaws01 / n vdb - Stu isn't on the new CD because Joe wanted a "rock" sound and Stu isn't really a rock bassist.
brandonlowe - Download the SBM 2002 tour rehearsal video (see the news section)...Jeff spend a few minutes talking about his setup. Let me know if it takes too long for you to download, and I can watch it and fill you in on the details.

Number1 Student - It's cool that you're keeping your eyes open, but that guitar is actually a JS 10th anniversary model. It's a chrome JS guitar that was commercially available.
The Local Person - I'd love to hear a Jeff Beck / Jimmy Page / Joe Satriani G3 show. That would be so awesomely unbelievable. Keeping things more realistic, I wouldn't mind seeing a Ty Tabor (the guy from King's X, right?) / Steve Vai / Joe Satriani show.
