michelle - Thanks...I didn't know I had that many posts! LOL. Happy 279 to you!

Mr Nick - I was just in the chatroom...it works fine. It took a longer time to load, though.

Ah...it's 10-10 now? How did Cool #9 catch up? More people should be voting for Ice 9...come on. ;-)

ovation1 - That name is an anagram of "satriani".

Hi all. I just finished listening to Engines Of Creation on headphones, and I'm listening to Additional Creations now. These albums sound completely different on headphones...man. If you haven't listened to them in this way, you're really missing out! I noticed a lot of cool things that I don't hear when I blast the album on my stereo.

If you don't listen to the whole thing on headphones, at least listen to the intro to Borg Sex. The cymbals in the background pan to the left and right over and over. It sounds SO cool. I heard a lot of new neat things in The Power Cosmic 2000 (Part I) as well. And once again, I have to say that Champagne? sounds so much like The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...LOL. I think I started liking the EOC "rock" version of Until We Say Goodbye after listening to it tonight. I still like the AC "techno" version more, though. And I'm sorry, but I still don't like the song Engines Of Creation. Oh well.

death cube k - Yeah, it was weird. I went back in there right away, but it was empty. I thought my ---------\ thing broke the chat...haha.

punkdude75 - The problem lies with the concert promoter. In this case, the promoter is the evil Clear Channel.
Narface - :-( I hope your ear problem isn't a serious one.

Hi all. I'm voting for Baroque, so that's Baroque 5 - Tears In The Rain 1.

Being the Aerosmith fan that I am, I have to tell everyone that their Behind The Music is rerunning on VH1 tonight at 7. Check it out.

hickory / Tobes of Ethn - It sounds like last night's show was pretty cool. I hope they add Time Machine as well.

MegaBoyd - I won't like EOC until you like Summer Song. ;-)
Al Surfer - It's nice to hear from you again... I'm kinda bummed right now...Joe is playing so many shows in Northern California in January, but they're all during my first week of school. I don't know if I'll be able to see him.

Song update - After anibur's vote, it's Baroque 5, Tears In The Rain 3.

Mr Nick - It was in the US. I'm not sure how things work in the UK...I think you have a completely different VH1 network over there. Have you seen the Aerosmith BTM yet? If not, email me privately and I can send you a copy. We can figure out how to work out a trade... The US and UK use different video formats, though, so my tape would only be helpful if you can view the US format.

PhrygianDominant - Happy 400!
Ntra vnus venus - The aftershow passes are awarded randomly.

Mr Nick - The live / studio thing shouldn't matter. The rules have always been to judge the song by its studio version.

Hi all. I had Not Of This Earth in my Discman while I was walking around school today. I listened to Rubina a few times...I absolutely love the rhythm guitar in the last minute or so of the song. It's subtle, but really cool.

Mr Nick - Ah! I forgot to respond, didn't I? LOL. Well...check your mail now.

nanakitty - Joe does some GA shows...it depends on the venue usually.
PhryDom - I'm ashamed to say this, but I don't have any Billy Sheehan stuff. I loved him on the G3 tour, though. I've always meant to pick up one of his albums, but I've never gotten around to it.
LGU89 - Joe's son Z.Z. has writing credit for three songs on Crystal Planet because he named them. Also...that's a great price for the G3 DVD. Be sure to pick up the CD version as well.

climber - Ok...sorry for the mistaken identity. A few people here have multiple nicknames, and I thought you were the same because the nicknames were so similar. So are you the bigger Satch fan? Did she get into Joe through you?

Artanis I - I love listening to music with headphones...I just don't have that much time to do it anymore. One that I've really been hooked on lately is You Saved My Life. Put some headphones on, close your eyes, and try to count all of the different guitars swimming around in your head. It's crazy.

Tobes of Ethn - Thanks for running all of the voting things. They're really cool. Are you going to take a few days off for Thanksgiving? If not, the answers here may be kinda skewed.

The crippler - LOL!
LGU89 - Ah...I already have Venus Isle. Sorry if I confused you. I have all of EJ's stuff...great music.

Hi everyone. Wow! There were a lot of posts today... I'm voting for War, so I believe that the current total is War 8, Attack 4.

Mr Nick - Happy 300! The Aerosmith Behind The Music episode is supposed to rerun on December 18 at 7:00 PM Eastern time. So look in your local listings to see when it airs in the UK.

kinger - What did Joe do for Crowded House?
matt king - That's a good joke...LOL.
badandymac - Can you link me to a picture of what you're talking about?
Jaibee - I think Joe's best solo is in Why. The solo starts at 2:02, but my favorite part is from 2:36 - 2:55. It's a shame that he isn't playing this part live. Oh well.
crushingday62 - The album shows up on Ebay occasionally. It usually goes for around $500. 4 of the 5 songs on it are on Time Machine. The 5th (the 1st on the actual record), Talk To Me, wasn't included because of problems with the master tape. You can find it on many of the file-sharing programs, though.
LGU89 - I love hearing instrumental music (Satch, Vai, EJ) in the background on the radio. It's so cool. Also, seven string guitars usually have the 7th string tuned to a low B. So instead of E-A-D-G-B-E, it's B-E-A-D-G-B-E. Make sense?
drafter37 - Do you have your picture with Joe online?
Silmarien - Hook is a remake of Peter Pan that was done a few years ago. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are in it.

drafter37 - Scan the photo and email it to the webmaster. If you don't have a scanner, find a friend that does. ;-)

Wesanator - List yourself as attending your show on the road page... Backstage pass winners are randomly selected from that list.
death cube k - Not so fast! Tobes of Ethn only has 199...hehe.
theduke2099 - the JS2000 doesn't have a whammy bar because all of the other JS series guitars do have one. It's another alternative for everyone.
Sharif - Once A Part Of Me is such a great song. MM has the perfect voice for it.

I vote for John Bonham... JB 7 KM 2.

trutina - That's a good quote.

ovation1 - LaRue was also the bass player for John Petrucci on the G3 2001 tour. I didn't know who he was, so I didn't really pay attention to him. John introduced him during the last song and he played the coolest little slap riff. I wish he would've done that earlier in the show...I would've spent more time watching him...LOL.
chocoholic - Joe answered that question a while ago, although I forget what his answer was. I do believe it's the drummer's voice that you're hearing.
Narface - Ok...I just did the Satch wave. I'm in California, so who's next?

I'm surprised to see that the "abstain" votes are winning in today's song to song thing. You picked some good songs, Ethn...

My vote is for The Crush Of Love, so that's... TCOL 1 - CD 1

Master Yoda - The screen messed up because of the fixed-width font you were using. You need to enter a line break in the middle of the line that starts with "Notice that the G sus4".

LGU89 - The JS95 album is probably the one that I listen to the least. However, it's one of my favorites. It's just one that I have to be in a certain mood to listen to. Have you seen Joe's Reel Satriani video? It's about an hour long, and it shows Joe in the studio recording tracks for the JS95 album. Maybe your opinion about the album will change after you see the video. Lastly, you said you like #9. Do you mean the song Cool #9, or the ninth song on the album (Killer Bee Bop)?

Joe / webmaster - I found a JS Rainforest guitar on Ebay. It probably isn't the one that was stolen from you (Joe) a while back, but maybe you should take a look in case there's a marking on it that you recognize. The item number is 925864242.

Narface - I hope you find your phone...

r6rocker - I think the K numbers are there to let people know the order that certain pieces were written. That numbering system was introduced because the first song written might not have been the first song published. Make sense?
LGU89 - I don't know if you can still buy Reel Satriani in stores, but copies show up on Ebay all the time. So I'd look there if I were you.
Mr Nick - SMF is SMF, on JS95. I think Joe said it stands for Sick Mother F-...
