JS Clone 1 - Click here to see the Ebay listing for the "JS1000" Rainforest guitar. I don't think it's the same guitar that was stolen. This paint job looks slightly different, and I saw a few other differences as well...but it's worth taking 30 seconds to look at just in case.

Cool! I had the 14,000th post and didn't even realize it. Haha.

Yeah, I kinda figured the guitar that I saw wasn't Joe's. I found a link to it on the Joe Satriani newsgroup. Someone made a few posts wishing to sell the guitar. I emailed the person privately pretending to be interested in it, and didn't get a reply. That seemed kinda weird, which is why I posted the link here.

matt king - That JS tribute album thing sounds kinda cool. I'd love to play bass on it somewhere. I don't think I'm as good as Stu Clone / Graham is, but it would be worth a shot. How soon were you hoping to have this thing completed? I have an Urge II that I can record with if you can wait until I'm on Christmas break...otherwise I'd have to use my less-cool Washburn bass.

Hi all... My vote is for TMPHGT. I like SWTA better in a live setting (TMPHGT isn't the same without Stu!), though. So that's: TMPHGT 11 - SWTA 6

matt king - I'll get working on some kind of rough bass solo soon, and I'll record it in late Dec. or early Jan. I'll let you know... Thanks for organizing this whole thing. Oh, and another IUMA page dedicated to this sounds like a good idea.

r6rocker - Good one. Here's something similar. Did you hear about the dyslexic devil-worshiper that sold his soul to...santa?
Grein - I don't have any of my music uploaded anywhere right now, but I plan to do a lot of recording (covers) after Christmas.
Stu Clone - Use IUMA to host your music.
ianjf - The crowd is saying "Stu", not "boo".
JS Clone 1- I don't know who Herc Fede is...and as I said earlier, I emailed the seller privately and the whole thing just seemed kinda weird. But thanks for your help. :-)
ovation1 - Thanks for fixing the votes...LOL.
michelle - I'm not making fun of you at all, but I smiled when in your post you said you didn't know much about the technical side of guitar playing. You then went on to say you liked the "cross-over thingy" in TMPHGT. I don't think you can get any more non-technical than that. Hehe...
routine6 - Hi! Welcome...

Narface - Get a guitar!

dakook - First, congrats on the 2 years of sobriety. Way to go... The guitar that you asked about (the one Joe plays on Oriental Melody) is called The Snake. If you look at it closely, you see that the "design" is actually a bunch of snakes covering the guitar. To answer your other question, if you list yourself as attending your show on this website, you might win aftershow passes (winners are randomly selected from the list on this site).
Invigor - Yes, there's an SACD version of SBM.
dragonchild - I don't remember who recommended the Pink Floyd book. However, I saved the name of it on my computer back in my dorm. I'm flying back to school tomorrow, so I'll find the info and let you know ASAP.

Hi all. It's tough, but I'll take Luminous Flesh Giants. OM 5 - LFG 4

I listened to Merry Axemas 1 and 2 last night. Awesome music.

LGU89 - Happy Birthday! Also...go Yankees! I'm a fan as well...

chocoholic - Pancakes sound good right about now...haha.

I'll take The Enigmatic. So that's TE 6 - KBB 1 (The Local Person, you didn't count Ya Yo Gakk's vote)...

I was bummed about the HOB shows being 21+, but I guess it is kinda cool. A lot of people have stopped by T2J to say that they saw Joe there. So I guess it's kinda cool.

MegaBoyd - Why should I believe you? You like EOC. ;-)

r6rocker - That's good. Here's one of my favorite jokes (because it's so simple)... What's brown and sticky? A STICK!
drafter37 - You have to read all of the posts...there's a test tomorrow. Good luck. ;-)

daysofthenew - Joe's been playing guitar since about 1970.

McDave - Ah, it stinks that you didn't win the aftershow passes. I'm bummed because I haven't won them either. I've been to 5 shows since EOC came out, and have had some pretty good odds on some of the drawings. It stinks. I was able to meet Joe after the G3 2001 gig, though. Maybe you'll get lucky and get to meet him after the show in MN.
The Local Person - LOL, you're right. I can't believe I made that mistake. I can't count...

Hi all...

Joe - Hi. Thanks for stopping by again. Come on...take part in the song tournaments we're doing here. I know it's probably hard for you to pick favorites, but it'd be neat to see some of your opinions.

Artanis I - LOL. Ok, I'll explain how I think I made the math mistake. When I read T2J, I have a blank page open that I use to paste the messages that I want to reply to. Then I open up the T2J message screen and type things individually. When I wrote down the most recent song score, I must've added my vote into the total when I wrote it down, and then again when I typed it. Does that make sense? ;-)
gidexyz - Welcome to the site. Joe does own a Crystal Planet guitar. He most recently used it for Flying In A Blue Dream on the G3 2001 tour.

I'll take Speed Of Light... Speed Of Light 2 - Lights Of Heaven 4

Eric Johnson has a new album coming out next week. It's an internet only release, similar to Satch's Time Machine (album leftovers, etc.). He's teaming up with MP3.com to release it, and if you go to his page here, you can download three songs and stream a fourth. The streaming song is a cover of Paperback Writer (The Beatles). Cool stuff...

Mr Nick - I've seen that insanity test before. I love it.

guitarded boy - The BENGALS? ;-)
perofal - Joe has mentioned in past interviews that he does believe in God. You mentioned the song You Saved My Life...he said the inspiration for that one comes from his family.
ExtremeBlueDream - I haven't heard of any signings in the Chicago area. I imagine if there was one, it would be mentioned on the site here.
LGU89 - Ah...Dweller On The Threshold. Cool song.

JS Clone 1 - What do you mean when you say you want another Time Machine? Do you mean another package of unreleased stuff? TM has some good music on it, but it's not one I listen to all the way through. It's hard to think of it as an "album", because it covers such a vast time period.

Good morning, all. This vote is a tough one. I've really been getting into House Full Of Bullets lately...that song has such an awesome groove. However, Mind Storm is MIND STORM, one of my favorite Satch songs ever. So that's HFOB 2 - MS 4

abdallah - Welcome back.

ovation1 - No, this isn't Eric's acoustic album. It's just an album full of leftover stuff that he's recorded. It actually came to be because people on the mailing list at his website kept bugging him about unreleased stuff...hehe.
mowlie 2000 - As far as I know, Pearly is still missing.
drafter37 - I'm bummed that Speed Of Light lost. It really is such a cool song. And it's one of the few that I can play on guitar (except for the solos). I guess SOL was SOL. Sorry...that was a bad joke.

el heavy - You're probably using the chat correctly. If you're in the room and can't see anyone else, it just means that no one else is in the chat room at the same time you are. Check back at different times of the day. It's probably the most crowded during the evening hours in the US.

I'll take the live version. Live Circles 2 - Studio Circles 0

Mr Nick - It's cool that you finally got to see it. Just some random trivia for you...ya know how they spliced the interview footage with some recent clips? Some of the clips (including the ones of the female fan dancing onstage) are from the 1/9/02 San Jose show that I was at.

Lyn G - List yourself as attending that show on the road page of this site. Three winners will be randomly selected and emailed a few days before the show.
ianjf - Yeah, Joe tries to visit fans after each show.
guss - There are only around 300-400 copies of Joe's first EP. It is VERY rare, and usually goes for around US$500 on Ebay. Four songs from the album are also on Time Machine. The fifth (but the first on the original EP), Talk To Me, can be found on most file-swapping programs. It wasn't included on Time Machine because of problems with the master tapes.

Hi all. I got back from the Yes show about an hour ago. It was awesome. Rick Wakeman was unbelievable. I love watching Chris Squire on bass. Anyway, I might post more thoughts later.

Add two more Daves to the list. Dave Matthews and David (but not Goliath)... ;-)

matt king - A VCD of your upcomming show would be most excellent indeed.

Dreamboye - The opening act is Ned Evett.
mick87 - Get the LISF CD and DVD. Let us know what songs you like from that concert, and we can help you pick similar-sounding studio albums.

I love both of these songs. I like all parts of the song Time, but there's a moment in Time Machine (1:45-2:15) that puts that song over the top. So that's Time 5 - Time Machine 6.

ovation1 - Rick Wakeman had at least 7 keyboards / synthesizers set up last night. And he would go back and forth between all kinds of keyboards and his Moog synthesizer. It was unbelievable. And yes, Alan White was on drums. So the complete lineup was Anderson / Howe / Squire / Wakeman / White.

Hi all.

trutina - LOL...it's ok. I miss obvious stuff like that too sometimes.

tigerjason - Joe uses a Japanese Boss DS-1 distortion pedal.
McDave - I've only had two nicknames...this one, and Nitsua111.
Mr Nick - Yes, Steven changes lyrics around all the time. It's one of my favorite things about him...LOL. I know a few years ago there were webpages that would keep track of the alternate lyrics. Maybe if you looked around on Google you could find them.

I have a few Aerosmith video bootlegs...I'd say between 6-10 maybe. I have videos with all of the songs you mentioned except for Angel, because it isn't played live often.

Aerosmith has also had Mr. Big open for them (several times). Cheap Trick has been another recent opener.

Ya Yo Gakk - The 405 is absolutely crazy.
LGU89 - My favorite character in the movies is Arwen, just because she's played by Liv Tyler. Haha...

It's cool that you're reading the Chronicles Of Narnia. I read the series years ago and really enjoyed it. C.S. Lewis is a great author.

According to the Lord Of The Rings tests, I'm Frodo and I live in Ithilien.

Elven Name, Quelleharmaion

Hobbit lad name, Isengar Hill from Sackville

Dwarven Name, Varin Silentmouth

Orkish Name, Morkrut the Atrocious

Hi all... John Lennon was murdered on this day in 1980. Be sure to listen to some of his music sometime today...

el heavy - My username answers that question. :-)

The crippler - What's the worst movie I've ever seen? I don't know...I'll have to think about that for a while. The problem is, I have a weird sense of humor. So sometimes movies can be so terrible that I actually like watching them...LOL.
JS Clone 1 - That's a great song...I have it on a Guitar World compilation CD.
dragonchild - Oops...sorry for not telling you about the book earlier. Click here to see Amazon's listing for it.

ccheng - Joe played at The Fillmore in San Francisco on 12/28/00 and 12/29/00. The 12/29/00 show was used for the DVD.
DaveCampbell - That question is one of the most common questions on this site, so it caused me to change my username. The fans are yelling "Stu!", not "boo"... Joe says "They Stu him 'cuz they love him..." at one point during the show for this very reason.

Hi everyone. This is my 500th post. I don't have a life, so I thought I would throw a few useless statistics out there.

2,536 members have made 14,908 posts. 3.35% of all posts on this board are from me. The average number of posts should be 17.01 posts per member. Joe has made 15 posts. I post about 29.39 times more often than the average member, and I make 33.33 posts for every one post that Joe makes.

However, Joe has made 15 albums that absolutely kick ass. I've made 0. So he wins. :-)
