Mr Nick / stu hacking - Thanks! ;-)

Rrockin Richie B - List yourself as attending a show on the tour page and you might win one.

olliecox / satch72 / juef - The aftershow pass winners are completely random. I think the order of names listed as attending each show are in the order that we signed up for nicknames on this site.

boardy - Jon (the webmaster) said he wasn't going to design any, but if we created some he might make a section on the site where we could put them up for others to download.

Here's part 13...

The Traveler - This track is a big favorite too. I know I've said it before, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wah throughout the song... It's very catchy. I'd love to hear this one live...I hope it makes it into the set for the US tour (::gives Joe a friendly nudge::...hint, hint). Anyway, like I was saying...I love the wah...the bit from 1:17-1:37. And then 4:14-5:39 is more awesome wah. I like how it changes at 4:32 and then I like how the keyboard (or maybe it's the bass, it's hard to tell) plays starting at 4:47. Well, I should stop listing times now or I'll end up talking about the entire song...haha.

Any comments? Yes, the word of the day is "wah".

Brewhe - Strange Beautiful Music is the name of Joe's publishing company...he came up with the name himself.

donny ray - Do you have any other JS CDs? Strange Beautiful Music?

xrob - If we get a "Talk To Each Other" board I have a feeling the Talk To Joe page will turn into the old FAQ page. It'll get out of control and Joe won't have time to answer anything on it.

ANEWME - You can probably find Additional Creations on Ebay.

Mr Nick / ibanezloverforlife - I don't think that was really Joe's fault. I make a point of always checking with the venue before a show to make sure nothing has changed, and to see that it still starts at the scheduled time.

evbro - Yeah, I know. What I was saying, though, is that it was Joe that came up with the name (from the song) years ago, it wasn't a fan that said "hey name the album after this line from a Hendrix song". The Third Stone From The Sun connection had been mentioned a lot recently so I thought I could get by without bringing it up again. Oh well. ;-)

Here's part 14...

You Saved My Life - Joe does a song like this on each one of his albums, and I'm always surprised with what he comes up with. I know people have said that this song reminds them of Home from the JS95 record, but I think it sounds a lot more like Love Thing. Again...I love the acoustic guitars. I want to hear more of this kind of music from Joe. The bit from 0:55-1:01 sounds like it's straight out of Love Thing. My favorite fill is from 3:10-3:15, though. The wah solo is awesome...I especially like the little things at 2:17-2:18 and 2:23-2:24.

Any comments?

Guitarrpsycho - You're giving your Additional Creations disc to Anewme? That's really nice of you.

Tony23 - It's kinda weird, though. Joe might not be that popular there, but each of the UK gigs has over 100 attendees listed on the tour page. That's way more than any US show.

Part 15...

The Eight Steps / Slick - These two include some of the best guitar work that I've heard from Joe ever sinc...ha! I bet you thought I actually had these songs on my CD, huh? Just kidding... I hope they end up on satriani.com as MP3s sometime soon. That would be nice.

Well...I'm done. It's been a lot of fun reading the comments from everyone here.

anibur - If I had to guess, I'd say the webcast would be from one of the UK shows.

ovation1 - Email the webmaster (webmaster@satriani.com) and tell him about the problem you have. I talked to him a while ago about having the same problem. I think it works on his end, but a lot of people here are having trouble with it. Also, according to www.pollstar.com, Joe is doing 3 shows in Japan in October.

shell - You're welcome. If you go back to read the rest of them, they are always posted between midnight and 1:00 AM Pacific Time. That should make it easier for you to find them.

guitarded inlaw - Joe is playing I Believe in Europe... Hopefully it'll stay in the set for the US shows.

JS Clone 2 - Use the "View messages from the last _____" box.

alien32 - Yeah, that was a good part of the interview. I liked the note where Joe says the first two people he calls for each G3 are Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. That would be the greatest concert ever.

Damn Straight - That's great! I love your definition of semi-formal...LOL. I have to remember that.

Quantum - I was wondering about Joe's extra pedals too. I guess it could be a harmonizer (Do they make those as pedals?) for Mind Storm. Or maybe it's a separate distortion effects loop that he uses for the seven-string guitar.

PSUKCAT13 - Ice 9 is awesome. The Surfing..., Dreaming #11, and Live In SF versions are all completely different. It's weird how the same song can be performed in so many different ways.

guitarrpsycho - The Simpsons rule! LOL...

njbeast - I can't remember...are these UK shows going to be your first Joe Satriani concerts?

Hi everyone... I have a quick intonation question. I changed the strings on my Urge II bass today. I took off the factory strings (Fender strings) and put on some GHS strings. I set the intonation correctly on the A, D, and G strings, but can't get it right for the E string.

The bridge has grooves carved into it for the string saddle to slide closer to or farther from the pickups. The E string saddle is at the end of the groove farthest from the pickups, but when I check the intonation the 12th fret note is still a few cents sharper than the 12th fret harmonic. I can't move the saddle any farther away from the pickup or it'll go out of the groove. Is there something else I can do to fix this? Would changing the action or the truss rod have anything to do with it?

The factory strings ran through the body and I want to have the new strings loaded through the top (the bridge can do both). Also, the factory E string was taperwound 115 and the new E string is roundwound 105. These differences might have something to do with it (maybe in relation to how tight the truss rod is?), but I don't know.

Should I wait a few days and then try to adjust it again? Or do I have mess with the action or truss rod? Would the fact that the temperatures have been over 100 for about a week straight here in hell (er, I mean Northern California) have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Hi everyone. Thanks for the help with my bass. I'm going to try to set the intonation at the 24th fret instead of the 12th...hopefully that will work. If not, I'll try to run the strings through the body.

death cube k - Can I have that x-ray? Yeah, I know I'm weird...sorry.

Loo Who - Joe's chrome guitars are wood dipped in chrome. I think the chrome guitars that were sold to the public were actually clear lucite guitars dipped in chrome.

akreepish1 - I'm going to mess around with my guitar a little later today. If what I try now doesn't work I'll probably adjust the action. Thanks...

Hi everyone. I set the intonation at the 24th fret on my Urge II and all is well. It sounds great. Thanks for your advice... :-)

Kda - That's my favorite part of Circles as well.

oliverstone - Yes...Joe will turn 46 on July 15.

Hi everyone. I pulled this off of alt.fan.joe-satriani, from someone down under: "I got my copy from 78's on Friday it's not officially released on the aussi market as of yet but 78's had ordered a few copies from America.. so yea, if you haven't got a copy go down there and secure one now !"...

oliverstone - Calm down, man.

Damn Straight - That's so cool (the semi-formal thing). I think I told you that before, though.

ovation1 - Yeah, Stu uses GHS strings (GHS Bass Boomers)...Medium 45-105. I use the same ones actually...they're awesome strings.

njbeast - Look at pakihaki's set list (in the user profile). It was changed to show what songs Joe is playing.

dragonchild - I actually wasn't the first person on this site to post about the hidden CD in The Secret Jewel Box. Someone on the site here said that they saw the box for sale on Ebay, and the item description said something about a special prize being included. So that led him to unscrew the bottom of the box and find the CD. Then he posted about it here. Anyway...it would be cool to hear your thoughts on SBM if you get the time to type it all out.

Plum Loco - Joe usually does the T2J stuff while he's on his tour bus. Maybe he can't get a good roaming internet connection in Europe.

guitaurus - 1,200 miles? Man, that's a long trip. You're right, though...it will be more than worth it.

Everyone - Now that we're able to post links on this message board, I think it would be cool if everyone posted their pictures with Joe all at once. I'm sure I haven't seen pictures from some of you, and I think posting them here is the easiest way to see them all. So here's my picture:
