Ahh... interesting. I like the new T2J page, has sort of a UBB feel to it. And what's this? I can mark messages as read and only display new ones? Sweet! Looks nice Jon... And bold print is possible as well... can smilies be far behind?

I definitely agree with the idea of allowing us to select a time zone in our preferences. I can never intuitively convert from PST to EDT/EST. It is just a litle detail, of cours,e but details are what set excellent apart from merely good.

Also, please ignore the requests to put the messages in the order they were on the previous T2J. It's so much more intuitive to start at the oldest and move to the newest, rather than moving backwards.

Overall, I like it- a lot. Especially the new black background here. Also, the band-crew section is cool.

Oooh, italics now as well!!! Whee!!

Keep up the good work, Jon!

Oh, and Salina, I love you!

Higain: it's very similar to an HTML tag- you have to close it with a /b. So if you type [ b ] this is bold print [ /b ] (without the spaces, of course), you get this is bold print.

I mean what else would be the point of editing messages?

There are lots of good reasons for editing posts. Say you typed in a hurry and made some spelling errors and don't want to look like an idiot. Say you were pissed off and wrote something in the heat of the moment, but then after you posted it you calmed down and didn't want everyone reading it. I think we're doing fine without the 4 hour limit- after all, we don't have wolf2 to rein in anymore.

Ummm... you don't have to go to the last page to make a new post- the button's at the top of every screen. I like the new order of posts, it's a lot more natural...

Also, with the "View New" feature, no one should have to go through 20 pages of posts unless you're consistently accessing the site from different computers. In that case I can understand it being difficult to find where you left off- but not that much more difficult than it was on the old T2J site. Reading from the top down makes much more sense. Thanks, Jon!

Ya Yo- when I'm really pissed off at someone, I generally like to attack them with a pair of scissors... wait... oh, never mind, I don't do that, I was thinking of someone else.... ;-)

"Mind Storm" is easy listening? "Belly Dancer" is easy listening? "Seven String" is easy listening? I could go on and on... but what's the point anyway? Bottom line, if you don't like the music, then don't buy the CD. Why whine about it? I can't speak for Joe, but I have a feeling that he makes the music that he wants to make, not what KB1 wants him to make. I personally think that if an artist makes music that is anything other than what is in his heart, then it is fake.

No one else has said it for a good reason- no one else feels that way. I personally love what I've heard. "Mind Storm" makes me want to run around the house like a madman. I'm not going to try to force you to like SBM, or tell you that you should recognize it for the glorious music that it is, because that would be totally pointless. But I will wonder aloud why you felt the need to criticize the product of someone's heart and soul in such vicious terms.

----PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT----

From now on, ayone who is observed entering the T2J forum and posting the question, "Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in your hand?" or any similar variant will be summarily sodomized with a cattle prod. You have been warned. Corny humor will not be tolerated here.

Hey GutterBoy lighten up, maybe if you weren't such a stiff you would see it's all in fun. This site was meant to be lighthearted. Don't be such a pussy even though you are one. Anyway i love you Joe, even though some of your dorky fans like GutterBreath try and police the site. Keep on kickin ass Joe.

See, that comment was a phenomenon generaly referrred to as a joke. You know, a lighthearted comment intended to make people laugh. Now, repeat after me: he was only joking. Very good. and now: when someone puts a winking smiley in their post, they're probably being fecetious.

Now, take a step back and perhaps you'll see that you should "lighten up" and understand that it was "all in fun."

Hello ,

After watching several times your DVD (one of the best I've ever seen) , a question is still haunting me : what's the problem between Stuart Hamm and the audience ?

Thanks for the answer and sorry for the quality of my english (I'm french ...)

They're not booing Stu, they're stooooooing him! Hey Jon, can we make this the new T2J page header or what? :D

Hey Jon- I just came up with another good idea for the new site. On the T2J forum, maybe we could have the ability, within our personal profile, to block the messages of certain T2Jers whose obnoxious ramblings we'd rather not read. Just a thought... *nudge nudge* *wink wink*

Major Tom:

Do you have any reason for being here other than to spam us with wild abandon about this poll? Just wondering...

Major Tom:

I understand that you're trying to help Joe out. And honestly, I see where you're coming from where lots of people want something from Joe, rather than to give something back. But unfortunately, in my opinion your method of helping him is less than effective. I read this board sveral times a day, even though I don't often have much to say. And all I have seen for you are posts practically begging people to go vote for Joe. Posts that are always in all caps, which most people on the Web find to be highly annoying.

All in all, your delivery of this request comes off as being the electronic equivalent of someone poking me repeatedly trying to get my attention. And for me, at least, when someone keeps poking me to get my attention, it makes me even more likely to ignore them- they have the exact opposite effect from what they want.

Case in point: my mother is an avid Christian. Her brother is not- in fact he's an atheist. She seems to have made it the goal of her life to convert him to Christianity, and brings this subject up at almost every oppurtunity. What she doesn't realize is that she has essentially had the inverse effect on him of her intentions. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm. I just want you to realize that while you see your posts as being benevolent, others may perceive them as just annoying. That's just a basic part of being human- it's difficult to imagine things through someone else'e eyes. I noticed that you did take time to respond to the comments made about you- this tells me that you aren't just some mindless spam automaton. So try to think about this a bit- and if you don't come to the same conclusions as me, don't sweat it. I won't harass you again about this, out of courtesy.

Every time I leave I say you won't be there

And you're always there

Every time I cry your name at night

You pull close and say it's alright

I look in your eyes, just like the rain

Watching the rain wash over me

Touching your face, I feel the heat

Your heartbeat echo in my head like a scream

What you do to me!

Waiting so long, I can't wait another day without you

/me loves some Queensryche

Actually, it loks to me like the top neck on that double-neck has a fixed bridge. I don't see a trem bar, and it would seem that a bar would tend to get in the way while playing the lower one, too. Methinks it's like the fixed bridge on the JS2000, which has fine tuners. At any rate, the two bridges look distinctly different to me.

Certain inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of relentless bullshit. Sometimes I get so tired of the daily grind of life, putting on my little faces to keep people happy, watching them put on theirs, seeing how nobody is ever themselves anymore. What this world needs is a good dose of old-fashioned honesty. Sometimes I'd like to go pitch a tent in the woods and live off the land, and stop worrying about the rat race and making money- just live off the land and eventually die off the land. That sounds like the perfect life to me right now.

Everybody please go to Major Tom's dumbass web-site and vote for Joe so that he can get page-hits and make money from advertisers. If Joe is number 1 on this Dutch poll, then Joe will attain the coveted "number-one guitarist on Major Tom's lame web-site" prize. Freak.

Ease off.
