Привет, Джо! Я из России. Хотел бы поблагодарить за новый альбом - Strange Beautiful Music. А какие гитаристы нравятся тебе?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

The first part of this message I'd like to direct at the person(s) unknown who decided that Pearly was theirs to take. I hope you're reading this, scumbag. I doubt it, though, since you obviously aren't any kind of fan of Joe's. A real fan, while he/she might wish to be able to play a Chrome Boy, would stop there... wishing. It would take a seriously sick mind for a fan to take Pearly. So apparently you are just some fucking bottom feeder who decided to make some quick bucks by making off with a valuable guitar. Well, good luck trying to sell it. There are a lot of angry people here, and you'd better hope that none of them happens upon you in a music store or pawn shop trying to slough off Pearly. I suspect that would not be an amicable meeting. You might do well to listen to "Run Like Hell" by Pink Floyd, and take the advice to heart. You better run all day and run all night, scumbag.
Joe: I am sorry to hear about the scumbag who made off with Pearly. I suspect it's something like losing a family member. But remember, we will all be on the lookout for Pearly. You've definitely gotten the raw end of things lately, first with Rainforest and Donni and now Pearly. On the behalf of humanity, I apologize for the actions of this scumbag.

Having watched the current section of the webcast, I must say that if this were to be made into a DVD (HINT HINT) I would certainly buy at least one copy. This is way too cool, especially the intimate "Joe and his guitar" portion. "I Believe" is especially great.

The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land
Plumes of smoke rise and merge into the leaden sky
A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers
But awakes to a morning wth no reason for waking
He haunted by the memory of a lost paradise
In his youth or a dream- he can't be precise
He's chained forever to a world that's departed
It's not enough, it's not enough

Song of the Day:

"Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd

In my opinion, this is THE quintessential Floyd song.

Matt King: My experiences with Win ME have been far less than pleasing. My father got a new PC about a year ago which came with ME, and the damn thing will remain stable for about a maximum of two days before it starts getting slow and having random errors, and finally freezing and necessitating a reset. So both he and I are quite displeased with ME. Personally, I'm a recent convert to Mac OS X, since my brother recently donated to me an old Power Mac G4 of his and installed OS X on it. And I am lovin' it! The cost of getting into a Mac, however, is somewhat higher than a PC, but I think it's worth it. I think I've had my G4 up for about three weeks now with no hiccups.

The one primary feature f a joke is that it is NOT serious. Just about every joke I have ever heard could be offensive if one were to take it seriously. While I can't say that I know Michelle personally, since I have never met her in person, I have known her via email for a few years now. But I'm not standing up for Michelle just because she's my friend. I'm standing up here because one of my greatest pet peeves in life is someone who gets offended easily, and ESPECIALLY someone who gets offended on someone else's behalf. If anyone should be offended here, it should be Joe- not that I think he would be offended in the first place. I don't think Joe would want someone deciding for him what is disrespectful or offensive. If he was offended and said so, then I could udnerstand. but you have undertaken to 'protect his honor' without even knowing whether it needs to be protected. I joke about anything and everything, and essentially, NOTHING is off-limits to me. And if anyone gets offended by my sense of humor, then they need to lighten up.

People in this world take themselves WAY too seriously.

On the cheese tip, I can pack away some sharp cheddar. Mozzarella is a close second, and while I generally dislike swiss, there is this "smoked swiss" stuff which can be had and is killer (even better than cheddar, but expensive...). My mother used to literally have to hide cheese, or else when it came time for her to cook whatever she was going to use it for... no cheese! Or at best, not enough cheese...

roser: Here in the US,we first do primary or elementary school from about age 5 until about 10, then middle school from 11 to13, then high school for four years, with students usually graduating at the age of 18. School becomes non-compulsory after the age of 16, after that students can choose to drop out. For those first 13 years, we spend about seven hours in class, and maybe an hour or two at home on stuff. Thereafter, in college/ university, one picks their own schedule. Hope this helps.

I thought Nashville tuning was when you replaced the wound strings with unwound and then tuned them up an octave. This way, you can still pay chords using the standard grips, but you get an interesting, 12-string type sound, since there are a lot of unison notes going on. Meybe this is what ethn meant to say, or maybe I'm full of it and wrong... who knows?

Arrrgh! Now this is a tough choice to make... I love Echo, but Crystal Planet is definitely my all-time fave Satch CD. In this case, I think I'm going to very narrowly give the nod to Echo. So our new score is:

Echo-6 WJIM-5

I'm baaaaaaaaaack! Got hit with a friggin' ice storm down here in Carolina, and I had no electricity for nearly four full days! I never thought I'd be amazed to flip a switch and watch a room light up! And was I ever getting tired of variations on Pork 'n' Beans on the camp stove... Bring on the electric heat! Hell, I hardly even minded sifting through 15 pages of stuff here... just glad to be back in touch. I'm too much of a techno-nerd to do without email for so long!
