If Billy Sheehan will be playing with Steve Vai, that's gotta be the best news I've heard in a while, right after hearing that Joe's working on new stuff!
It's a good day- now I can live through eight hours of work!

3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.
Amusingly enough, I do have more beer than food in the fridge right now. Contents are as follows:
6 bottles of Killian's
6 bottles of Warsteiner (damn good German beer)
about half a gallon of water
about 1/3 gallon of milk
a little leftover chili (which BTW gave me some terrible digestive disturbances)

Same here. I especially enjoyed that tasty little solo that Matt dropped in there. Sounds great as always... Keep up the good work Matt.

A Parable... Pay Your Bills
Nick the Dragon Slayer was an official in King Arthur's court. He had a long-standing obsession to nuzzle the beautiful Queen's voluptuous breasts, but he knew the penalty for this would be death. One day he revealed his secret desire to his colleague Horatio the Physician, who was the King's chief doctor. Horatio the Physician exclaimed that he could arrange for Nick the Dragon Slayer to satisfy his desire, but it would cost him 1,000 gold coins to arrange it. Without pause, Nick the Dragon Slayer readily agreed to the scheme.
The next day, Horatio the Physician made a batch of itching powder and poured a little bit into the Queen's brassiere while she bathed. Soon after she dressed, the itching commenced and grew very intense. Upon being summoned to the Royal Chambers to address this incident, Horatio the Physician informed the King and Queen that only a special saliva, if applied for four hours, would cure this type of itch and that tests had shown that only the saliva of Nick the Dragon Slayer would work as the antidote to cure the horrible itch. The King quickly summoned Nick the Dragon Slayer.
Horatio the Physician then slipped Nick the Dragon Slayer the antidote for the itching powder, which he quickly put it into his mouth. For the next four hours Nick worked passionately on the Queen's voluptuous and magnificent breasts. The Queen's itching was eventually relieved. Nick the Dragon Slayer left satisfied and was touted as a hero. Upon returning to his chamber, Nick the Dragon Slayer found Horatio the Physician demanding his payment of 1,000 gold coins. With his obsession now satisfied, Nick the Dragon Slayer could have cared less about settling up. Knowing that Horatio the Physician could never report this matter to the King, Nick shooed him away without making any payment.
The next day, Horatio the Physician slipped a massive dose of the same itching powder into the King's loincloth. The King quickly summoned Nick the Dragon Slayer...

tired of lying in the sunshine
staying home to watch the rain
but you are young and life is long
and there is time to kill today
and then one day you find
ten years have got behind you
no one told you when to run
you missed the starting gun
and you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
racing around to come up behind you again
the sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
shorter of breath, one day closer to death
One of my favorite songs of all time, simply all-around gorgeous.

Wolfie's fave song is still listed as BIGBABOON. I just clicked his name to check and see if the stuff carried over from the old board, and it did!
"Big baboon's chuckin' poo on me tonight

CRUSHINGDAY62:
To make a website, the only software you NEED is some kind of text editor. Notepad will work fine. In that case, you'd be writing all the code by hand, which for a geek like me is something usually enjoyable. An easier route to take would be to use some kind of page creation software, like Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Those, however, cost money. If you want to keep it simple and aren't averse to typing gobbledygook, I'd go the text editor rout. You should be able to find ample online resources just by doing a Google search for "HTML tutotials" or something along those line, or you could go to a library and check out some books.
Good luck!

Well, Isabel's eye is about to make landfall, here in Raleigh (150 miles inland) we're seeing 30-35 mph gusts. I'm looking out my apartment window watching clusters of leaves blow off the trees. The power's flickered a few times, but it's early yet- I'm sure it'll be out for a while later today. People on the coast are getting the worst of it right now... good luck.

Sounds like you got it worse from Isabel than I did- strange when you think about it. Here I just had wind blowing all day Thursday, and watched little chunks of tree occasionally detach themselves outside my apartment, but nothing big. My parents (who were a little closer in to the track of the storm) had a good-size branch blow down and lot some of a fence behind the garage. On the other hand, their power never did anything other than flicker, whereas I spent a couple of hours without it. And oddly enough, I live in the city and they're out in the middle of nowhere!
Strange how things work. Anyway, glad to hear that tings didn't get too nasty.

Woo-hoo! I have now officially gotten tickets to the Winston-Salem show! Not only that, but I'll be successfully dragging my brother along to a Satch show after about three years of nagging him.
Gimme some aftershow passes! I need 'em- all the stuff I got Joe to sign after the last show seems to have disappeared when I moved. :-(

(with apologies to Full Metal Jacket)
This is my twenty-second fret
There are many like it but this one is mine
My twenty-second fret is my best friend
It is my life
I must master it as I must master my life
Without me my twenty-second fret is useless
Without my twenty-second fret I am useless

If nothing else, if you'd like, I'd be more than happy to host those pictures if you just want them to be available for viewing. If you're interested, just shoot me an email at paclifto@unity.ncsu.edu and I'll take care of you. I'm a Navy ROTC midshipman, so I'd be more than happy to help out a fellow servicemember.

I just read your "little teapot" recommendation a few pages back. Notably, I just returned to my apartment after working at the Joint Commissioning ceremony, where all the ROTC people graduating this fall get their commissions as officers. I immediately pictured myself, in my dress blues, sticking my head out of the sound booth I was in and singing that, right in the middle of the guest of honor's speech. I should also note that in this case, the guest was a Marine general who had what looked like about 20 medals on his uniform.
Needless to say, the thought of doing this simultaneously amuses me and makes me cringe with fear of the retribution.
