oh man, latest figures are well over 200 homes engulfed! "they" say we are the last priority due to other fires in the state, which sucks cause we sent a bunch of firefighters to fight the san barnardino fire. the governor has declared us a disaster area....even a small airplane crashed cause no one was in the tower to direct him, they evacuated.

TIMERIDER- yes this is malmsteens approach and he gets a lot of flack for it, and rightly so....the guy is very talented but has locked himself into 1 style, playing the same solo again and again...not a very exciting guy but the reason i think hes still around is his antics and personality....the guy can be obnoxious, rude, drunk, and still think he is king shit and play and act like he is the best in the world, so he is a sort of comic act without even knowing it, i laugh at him...he needs to diversify his playing into other areas... but if thats what he likes and thats what HE feels like playing who am i to tell him what he needs to do? steve stevens, jeff beck, marty friedman, EVH for G3....

GA6O i remember u now, hey didn't u enter that steve vai jibboom contest thing like a year or 2 ago ? if so your playing has come A LOOOOONG way, that cliffs of dover rendition was outstanding! thumbs up to you man, you pulled it off nicely, nice use of effects in recreating the EJ sound....very quick and clean picking, rock on.

UF DEAN - LOL don't get po'd man, i used to about stupid lists too... but this is rolling stone, this is MTV the Magazine, remember that.... the fact that van halen - van halen was number 415 on a list of 500 speaks volumes! look at electric ladyland....nevermind the fact that blow by blow is not on there, or surfing with the alien....it's rolling stone, they pander to the kiddies.

i was reading this months issue of full throttle (harley enthusiasts mag) cause zz top was on the cover, in the interview billy says sometimes they send the equipment truck up front and follow behind on their bikes he says "we like to ride" and joe's song "ride" popped into my head "i just wanna ride..." and it sounds zz toppish so i was thinkin it was like a tribute to billy or something.... i was thinkin maybe it was about joe liking to ride but i dont know if he has bikes, just boards and hes singin about bikes in his song....or maybe its about vai cause vai rides. hmmm

well i got a satch shirt from some other retailer online, just hope i get it... also ordered a led zeppelin football jersey (yeah baby).... went to hot topic to see if they had any good shirts, as expected they just had metallica/korn/limp bizkit/good charlotte shirts, asking the chick behind the counter if they had megadeth shirts only made her pissed off...apparently anyone NOT ON MTV is unwelcomed merchandise for these genuine punk rockers....
u know whats hilarious? MTV did the ICON thing for metallica, and Korn did one of their songs to honor metallica...then jonathan davis runs around and tells everyone how much metallica sucks... it's hilarious! who ever said play what you want to play never saw mtv.

MICHELLE- tell your doughter to use a screensaver on the TV, u don't want that MTV logo burned into the screen....makes for watching football a headache

got my satriani shirt in the mail, its pretty cool... has joes face on the front, blurred and says "WORLD TOUR" and on the back lists all the cities... shirt is black, letters are yellow and red. pre-ordered the new stsve vai DVD....this better be good, also ordered the satch tapes DVD....up next - rolling stones four flicks.

got the satch tapes on DVD in the mail, its great that its on DVD now but its sooo grainy, any one see that? i think they just went VHA to DVD....who cares atleast its on DVD now eh
btw i got a fever, 102.2 arghh.... my hands feel just like two balloons

thanks for the kind words guys, i really appreciate it...
i woke up in a cold sweat and feel a little better so i think ive broken this fever, i took some nyquil and have been popping aspirins all day, hopefully its over now... argh, i hate getting out of bed to go piss and the floor looks like the ceiling and vise versa cause your so disoriented and dizzy, head feels like a lead anchor and everything looks like its moving in slow mo like a bad trip, not that i know what that is lol.
can't wait for the vai DVD either...should be a good one, is tony mcalpine still in the steve vai band? if so is he in the dvd?
sharif- that sucks man, you gotta floor it and get ahead of them bro.... they will just plow onto the highway, like a city bus leaving a stop...here, they just pull out...if you're in the way u wont be for long.
edit - i guess mcalpine is in the dvd.... well after just looking at vai.com i gotta ask, why is joe and steve both releasing a two disc anthology? coincidence? i thinks snot.
