SHADOWLIGHT- is that the violin making the guitar sounds? if so the guy used waaaaaay too much distortion in trying to create an electric guitar sound in my opinion, made it hard to listen to.
TRUTINA- yeah a little bit, i thought i broke that fever then when the aspirin wore off the temp went back up again, and again and again ive been in that cycle for 4 days man... stomach and ribs are sore from coughing my lungs out, its one of those wah-wah fevers in that it subsides then comes back again lol, taking nyquil, aspirin, vitamin c, green tea... i hate being sick arghhh... took a penicillin last night before bed and it seems to have helped some. thanks for the thoughts!

ibanezguitarist- lol thats messed up...
if anyone has some time, loves really vintage instruments and wants to read something very interesting read this article about a stratavari violin called "the messiah" and it's authenticity, supposedly it is made by the famous violin maker, one of his finest, and worth an estimated $20 million but theres a debate among scientists as to it's authenticity... very good read, nice photos too...

after watching live at the astoria london all i can say is... if fred astaire and satan had a kid, and it took acid...it would be steve vai. the guy is nuts, this video was OVER THE TOP....especially bad horsie holy shyt.... you thought the matrix had special effects.... dave weiner reminds me of bud bundy from married with children, and eric sardinas looks like slash with a dobro... billy's bass lesson WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!! i was on the ground laughing, out of this world LMAO ....i was expecting to see billy show us something on bass....u gotta see this LMAO....not what u think.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Ozzy Osbourne was seriously injured Monday in an accident while riding an all-terrain vehicle on the grounds of his British estate, according to Cindy Guagenti, a publicist for the heavy metal legend.
Guagenti said Osbourne underwent emergency surgery after breaking his collarbone, six ribs and a vertebra in his neck.
She said the operation was necessary to "lift the collarbone, which is believed to be resting on a major artery interrupting blood flow to his arm."
Guagenti also said doctors were attempting to stop "some bleeding into his lungs," but she said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

man it was COOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in Phoenix this morning, arghhh i forgot how cold the desert gets in winter arghhh....feel sorry for u desert rats, but i gotta get used to it...headed to the oregon/washington border area in a week or so and its gonna be even colder....

wow sometimes free money comes around... what happened was a 7-11 store had one of those new VCOM machines where u can buy money orders or cash your check etc... and it was messed up to where if u bought a $10 money order ($11 total, it's $1 for the MO) it would give u the money order then give u $80 back in change so i pulled $575 out of it and split that with the guy that gave me the money to do it in the first place but somehow i ended up with $330 counting the $110 in money orders, but im selling the money orders to a buddy for $50 cause i dont want them taking down my drivers license # when i cash them or put them in my account cause it has the time and location of purchase and my mug is on their camera... albeit i had my beanie and big sunglasses on LOL, maybe they'll think i was one of the chollos... there were so many people taking money from that machine it was crazy

DO THE STU - yeah it belonged to VCOM Inc., so u would just leave the $80 ticking out of the machine? or give it to the 7-11 checker who would pocket it? even he got in on the action....he will probably lose his job though lol. as billy sheehan says.... MICHELLE- thats good u passed on the savings to someone else, last summer we went to disneyland and when we first got there we went to denny's for breakfast and some guy, his wife and kid were leaving to go back home and gave us 2 park passes good for both parks and they still had 3 days left on them, we stayed 2 days then gave them to someone else on our way out... some guy with his daughter, they were pretty happy about it lol, kinda like that movie pay it forward, sumthin like that....lights and wacky shit, makes the world go round....and round...

MR NICK - that news comes from melodicrock, i believe they were one of the sites reporting that joe satriani was in planetUS with sammy hagar, neil schon and michael anthony... either way hagar sucks, i'd like to hear some rock & roll instead of albums with nothing but sappy love songs and pop ballads, but thats me... get DLR back in, sure he might be a goon, dress eccentricly, talk like a wacko and use way too many analogies but he was the original frontman, back when the band actually put out good music... a DLR/van halen reuinion would be mega huge...ultra huge...sold out stadiums across the nation, arenas fuilled to capacity standing room only... the mighty VH... van hagar is a joke, only chicks like van hagar.
in other news... i'm taking off in the wee hours of the morning and headed north, stopping in fresno, then off to san jose to pick up my little bro, then off to salem, oregon area...then off to hermiston oregon, which is a stones throw from washington state...we like to go to the dam and watch all the salmon swim upstream...they have this thing where u can go under the dam and watch through a glass wall all the fish...it's pretty cool, maybe ill snag me one LOL...take care everyone and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE...YOU TOO JOE, STAY SAFE EVERYONE...

back from the white north....was fun! MT Shasta was pretty cool, lots of snow.... MT Hood had snow too, saw my cousin chris who taught himself piano (hes 15)....i heard him "play" over the phone and thought he was just playing the samples that come in the keyboard or something... so i said "alright lets see you play" and he whipped out all these mozart and beethoven tunes, i was like "holy shit batman" i commended him on knowing so much for being self taught. He is going to be studying with a concert pianist he meet, i guess the guy charges $100 an hour but is teaching him for free... he even wrote a few tnes himself and they sound damn good, im hoping to get him down this summer... thats if he's off probation lol. we got 2 tickets on the way up, one for speeding (96mph in a 70) and another for having a dvd player on the dash (in view of driver), then got stopped once we crossed the oregon border, cop claimed we were driving on the wrong side of the road, thats funny cause in the middle of the freeway theres a median that divides both sides. guess they will use any excuse to stop californians...watch out guys lol

JAZZER13 i feel you man... i never call in and request tunes on the radio, if i want to hear something i put the CD in, forget radio.... but down here 101.5 KGB always plays summer song as background when they talk, once in a while they let the song go about 1 minute by itself before they start talking...but the funny thing about it is they still have to pay joe whether they play the whole song or just use it as background music... so they might as well just play the damn thing in it's entirety, im curious to know how many people call the station and ask "hey what was that song you were playing when the 3 morons were talking?"
POLARIS12 - i think joe should do either a jazz album or a classicl music album, not ala yngwie but real classical...write his own tunes etc, a little diversification

CLARKY- or anyone for that matter i need some help locating some joe satriani music books or something for my cousin that plays piano, i want him to learn other styles than classical so he can be very versatile, i think playing satch on piano might be a cool idea... im trying to find something he can read and then play on piano, maybe come with a CD of backing tracks etc...any ideas? thanks guys.

THE PREZ those people have been longtime satch fans, so when joe puts out something totally different than anything he has done they don't dig it, it's only natural...whats good for the artist isn;'t always good for the fan, it's kinda like manuel barrueco releasing a pop album, how would his fans react? would they buy? hmm..
OVATION1- yes southern cal has some "great" weather, but i love the rain, i wanna live somewhere were it rains all the time, but isnt cold.... u know, the humidity is up and it's rainy...hmmm... amazon? lol

awesome! i was surfing channels and came to channel 4, it was a show called "san diego insider" and they have this show about deering banjos on, showing the factory, process, cost etc and the owners were talking about who plays their banjos and they went through a list, dolly parton, roy clark, steve martin, dixie chicks etc then up popped a picture of joe satriani with a banjo making this weird face and the guy says "joe satriani...." i was like "KICK ASS YEAH JOE!", so i guess deering banjos is a local ompany....
