LOO WHO- you're welcome, it is indeed hilarious....i saw that picture and "space boogie" by jeff beck popped into my head....
that joe video at peavey.com is sorta misleading...joe talks about road testing them and they keep showing clips of the LISF dvd leading the viewer to believe he used the amps for that show... but good clip, i asked joe's opinion of the 5150 II back in another chat and he said he didnt even know it existed, nice to see he has given it a spin....rock on

well just when you thought edward van halen was maturing in his older years he lets us all know that....sadly, that isn't the case. in a radio interview in January 2004 he was asked about doing something with joe satriani & steve vai....ed said "why would i want to do that?" his whole tone was negative during the whole interview, not only that but he rambles on and on and in cirlces like a drunk & sounded wasted...his maturity level is sub whale shit, its sad for me to hear someone i admire sound so stupid....i'm only a fan of his playing, ed the person is not admirable on any level really but a musical one.... for those interested in his ramblings & eddieisms Listen to the Interview in MP3 format the joe/vai comment is made in the first clip, about 7 mins & 5 seconds in...maybe 10 seconds.... the guy is way full of himself, & i thought Yngwie was bad, wow.... Yngwie has nothing on this guy

like the new look jon....looks good...JOE - not TOO crazy about the new album cover, looks sorta quickly thrown together but it will catch on with me, looks cool already....song titles sound interesting! nice to see ZZ is playing on the album, thats awesome...rock on ZZ
ANYONE- is there a plce where u can preorder the cd and get a signed copy? that would be cool.....cause ill be on it like joe on a fretboard.

checked out the G3 denver clips, i liked the extremist, seemed to have a few little extras thrown in by joe, maybe i was hearing things but it was the best sounding rendition yet. vai's song was alright, a bit over the top but it wouldnt be steve unless it was over the top....yngwie's thing was far beyond stupid....i mean the smashing the guitar thing....wtf? this isn't 1968 man, looked like he tried too hard.... way unnecessary, i think amazon.com has the DVD for like $11 and thats a steal...

AUSTIN LEWIS true true...KLOS is the better station, but in the morning im all groggy and i need a kick in the ass, 93.1 plays rock in the morning....not to say mark & brian suck but they dont exacly wake me up lol... on the drive back you better believe i have KLOS on.
REGARDING KAZAA etc i'm sorta on the fence about file sharing, first things first.... if the downloader is a fan of the artists work they will still buy the CD and this is what is very interesting here, you take people like britney spears, backstreet boys, nsync or any other top mega act and you look at the fans, why are they fans? first and foremost they are not fans of the artist because for one those types of artists dont do anything but sing, they dont write material so the "fan" is really only a fan of the artists fame not their work and those people WILL NOT go buy the CD. joe is a different kind of artist, i'm a fan of his work and not so much the person himself so if i download his new CD and i like it ill go buy it, i downloaded EOC when it first hit the streets and i didn't like it...i don't own a copy of EOC but i may someday if it rubs off on me or something.... i think most fans of joe's are fans of his music and not really him so much, i mean i'd much rather be teleported into flying in a blue dream and go for the ride than meet joe but thats me LOL.... not to say i dislike joe...hes the coolest guy you could ever meet, but the music means so much more....hard to describe i guess.

thanks for the link OLLY.... listened to the samples then promptly ordered right away... this is gonna be joe's best studio album since crystal planet...SBM was good but not super awesome, the samples sounded great... "Gnaahh" was cool, as soon as i heard it i knew joe was back in business.... "hands in the air" sounds too much like mindstorm to me for some reason.... not that mindstorm sucks, it was a good tune but i dont like it when tunes sound the same as previous tunes... not digging the singing tracks but "i like the rain" could be cool, sorta like "the phone call"..."just look up" sounds VERY nice, does sound a little like "until we say goodbye" to me but sounds much better....my favorite samples were the title track and "if i could fly"...if i could fly sounds like a track that could easily fit the songs from crystal planet for some reason, has a CP vibe to it....very nice work joe.

DELFINOPIE that guitar looks cheap as all hell my friend, he took that trem bar off a stock strat.... and did you see the part where it said "I also have it advertised locally and reserve the right to withdraw it from auction" which means in other words if he doesnt get what he wants for it he will not sell it which is against ebay's rules unless he sets a reserve price which i didnt see

as per the ISLIS cover it does look cheap.... a better cover might have been say.... a picture of deep space where all the stars are tiny hearts there is some sort of alien cupid that uses chromeboy as a bow & arrow to shoot at the different stars...LOL....that would be hilarious.

Prince is no doubt a musical genius, the guy can play anything but my problem with him is his guitar sound....its horrendous, it sounds like a fly or a bee trapped in a paper bag....i call it the flybag tone, he needs to rectify that man seriously... maybe he has, the times ive seen him on tv it was horrid.
billy gibbons rocks, i have an MP3 cd in the car that has some of my favorite tracks, lots of rolling stones, pink floyd, joe & zz top.... congrats to billy & the boys..... my friend keeps telling me he has this video he recorded from country music tv or something that has brooks & dunn and zz top jamming together on eachothers songs, he wont cough up....keeps saying he will...arghhh

i got a question for jon luini in the FAQ it says -

whats the deal with that? theres probably hundreds of photos fans have taken from the shows, even a pic of joe and i, is this something Epic has instituted or what? i wouldnt think joe would be against fans taking pictures....

AUSTIN - i understand, i didn't think joe was against fans taking shots but it just seems that some venues are camera nazi's and some really dont care.... at humphreys by the bay they almost do a full cavity search for cameras, i heard even cell phones with cameras arent allowed in the venue now...it just sucks cause you know how cool it would be to get a nice 3 to 5 megapixel shot of joe blown up into a poster? yeah... i think there should be a rule implemented at joe's shows...no cameras with a lens over an inch or something, that way it would sorta draw the line between professionals without a pass and the average fan wanting some snapshots of joe but it isnt that easy
MICHELLE- i hear ya... totally uncalled for, the venue seems to always come between joe and the fans....what fun is it to go to a show when you can't enjoy yourself? i believe i posted this once before but joe was throwing picks out to the audience and he was getting ready for the next tune when my mom was gonna walk up to the stage and bum a pick from joe when about 3 security guards got into a 3 point stance ready to tackle her, what was she gonna do tie his shoe laces together? i doubt joe has crazed mentally ill fans like most stars, and i seriously doubt joe fears for his safety when a fan approaches him....

AUSTIN- who is gonna sell joe satriani posters? i dont think there would be a big profit to be made there....im talking for personal use, theres some awesome shots on this website that if high res enough would make killer posters, there are several professional studios that will take a shot and turn it into a poster for $10 to $15....the thing joe needs to get going is choose about 10 to 20 awesome photos and let fans choose one they want as a poster then charge a little more than it costs to make u know...it would be cool but since you cannot buy joe satriani posters (ive looked everywhere) you gotta have them made yourself but you cant really do it with photos you find on websites cause they've been downsampled etc so they would make shit posters.

Lincoln a racist... the whole first article is the ebony editor whining saying "he could have done this" , "he could have done that" sounds just like "they could have gave me a new EXalade wif my welfare check" nothings ever good enough, be thankful for what you have, that goes for everyone... everyone can whine about how it could be better but never be happy about how good it is....people lie blah blah blah, there you see president bush on TV saying "75 % of white americans own their own home" and there i am saying "so the 80 white americans i know are part of the 25 percent who don't?" i guess minorities only come in colors not economic status as the president has made a push to help "minorities" own homes, what about economic minorities? they come in ALL COLORS.... sure the average home price here is $406,000 and you HAVE to make atleast 6 figures a year and have excellent credit before anyone will even look at you for any kind of loan, be it a bank or Fanny Mae (federal government, u know...helping the minorities right) but i can be happy that i live in america's finest city.... i know i will never own a home in this city, thats a fact but for the time i live here i can enjoy the fact that theres millions of people who do own their own homes (you know, iowa, kansas,north dakota,pennsylvania) who wish to be where i am. and to go one further theres millions who wish they were even in this country.... in the end no ones ever happy with anything, it can always be better, but remember it can always be a lot worse too.

b18cb0y- yep....them 4 cylinder japanese cars sure are fast, you should just go with nitro methane cause if your giving that super mega beast of an engine anything less your just gonna lose power, not that you would notice cause its so powerful and quick anyways....you could just run it on water and it would still break the sound barrier </sarcasm>
the only good thing i see about any van hagar reunion is that after it fails (and it will) ed will have gotten out of his cave and might be over his fear of doing G3...

gtrplyr857- yes, joe has approached jeff and/or his people about it....and joe has said that it ALMOST happened so stay tuned.
TomSR- im sure he means the republicans in charge, those who benefit from our high gas prices...ie bush and friends who will not release stock piles of gas from our strategic oil reserves, if that is done then prices will drop because we have another source but he has refused. of course the iraq contracts benefit bush's friends as well.
so i got the new guitar center/musicians friend catalog yesterday and was just now looking at the joe satriani in concert contest postcard....it has a pic of joe in front of a peavey JSX stack holding his new js1200 guitar and i can swear that the pic was taken IN JOE'S HOME STUDIO... cause the reflection in the chrome on the amp head suggests that they are pictures on joe's walls of his studio....ahhh details...
