I'd sure hoped that the t2j family would realize that guitar players can only be the best of themselves. I'm not sure where all the grouse if from. I appreciate anyone who can produce an album and stay in the playing scene. Nuff said. thanks for being the best reason to play Joe!

Joe: Good to see you! Hope you and the family/band are healthy and happy. On home recording. Start with the drums! on my recordings I had started on the guitar and added drums later, and it came off as if "we" were in different rooms, and not listening to each other. Which is weird, they are both me. Anyway, if you have a good riff in mind, you have to put the drums first to give it presence. and always, Experiment! You might like that sound. What's really neat for Steven and I, is we hear some of our "riffs" in comercials and on background music for sports. It's kinda fun to hear the rhythyms I use in other popular music. True Joe: ttj will definately tell you if your stuff has merrit! I have not run into anyone who has had bad ideas. I would like to hear more from the female guitarist out there, though. Peace KTF.

Matt: you know that I had heard your distinctiveness all along! It will take alittle time for the "public" to acclimate to your style. The more they hear it..... Joe: Excellent reviews of you and the band in south america. Your still the best. Thanx to mike for the link to Vai's post page. Happy easter all! KTF

I liked the 7up t-shirt. Make 7 on frount and the rest on back. Joe: your presonal t-shirt should have Joe on front, and Alein on back, right???! I found a Stevie Wylde in Nottingham England at gajic guitars .com If you like, all those interested can correctly type in the addy and check out him and Jay Parmar. Both good players. I guess my freind Steven C. Wilde will have problems with using his givin name now. Discmakers and cdbay have been a real help to "Above The Numbers." And Buzzy of course. I was suprised to learn he really likes some of our songs. A couple of weeks from now we will be out on cdbaby and indie-disability music can be reached. I'll let you know what it ends up in for a catagory. Matt: How's the writing going? Paul, do you know of Stevie Wylde? Any comments on him? I have not found any recordings from him yet, but Jay Parmar sounds good...ktf

Hey Joe: Well, my foot is messing up again and I'm back in my boot. Steven and I finally got some songs togehter on a disc that we gave to Buzzy, and he actually likes one of the songs! I'm giving him a call tonite to congratulate him on his newest album that got 4 stars! Great to hear that the new Mac software is working. Your the best. KTF Randell & Steven p.s. Paul: if your bridges are floating, maybe you should not let them drink so much. (Ha Ha) (Bad)

Olly! excelent riff. I listened to your song and loved it. great point/counterpoint. I ,too use auto drummers, but have enlisted help with the drums to get those fills in. Solid work, this is your first recordings? Pretty tasty! Check out "Above the Numbers" at cdbaby.com look for the new arrivals page, click on blues, and look for the band name. The guitar songs are in the middle. Look for wolves love and outro/intro. be safe. Keep at it. if i were in england.........Pastel Black. i wholeheartedly agree. American Guitar idol. or Idol shred? either way great idea. But i thought that california was tired of guitarist clear back to Ed Van Halen?................................. TIMES CHANGE.

Richard Haier (sp) Great demo songs. Tasty and bright. You will go far. Wish I could sit in with you. are you on the t2j cd? should be. Joe: Getting any rest? Refresh those batteries! Try cdbaby.com blues link, look for Above The Numbers album, Morning light. Buzzy actually sang a song from the album back to me on the phone! Kinda cool having Jimi Hendrick's old Vibe-ist do that to .....Me? He's moving now. but not outa touch. He had a new date for the Bob Hope special ! As well as his own 4 star album out. Be cool, stay safe. GB KTF Randell

Find me at cdbaby.com blues/rockin' blues link. Look for "Above the Numbers" "Morning Light" album. The later songs are the shredders. Randell

Clarky:????Dublin CA. Usa? Along way to come. I'm honored and hopefully in better mind set weeks from now. I will try to keep in touch through t2j and, work on the positivity. I have had some setbacks as of late relating to school, things that will effect my grades. By then though, I will be desperatley wanting a positive experience with new people, especially a great teacher like you. I have found that I have good attributes for a guitarist: but lack the promotion experience and expertise to make music a living. I am still at the begining of promoting "Morning Light." Hope you've had a chance to log on to cdbaby.com to listen. I really think that you will love Steven Wildes' guitar instrumentals most-like I do- and your experience will identify with the rest. Buzzy was quite generous with his praise-our producer friend- as well as several close friends and some new found ones from t2j, Nick from India. He loved the keyboard peice-song 2. Any review of the album will be appreciated. You can also write one at the bottom of the page on the cdbaby site. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn Thanks all! Thanks Joe!!!! quito!!! e-bonyez (phonetic pronounciation.) for the spanish family name. (I) ban-ez English pronounciation. Hope that helps.

actually ask your self, What does Joe practice when he practices? only the hard stuff for him to do, or concepts for song ideas, calestentics (sp) etc. custome taylor a practice session for each album, i would suppose. There may be articles that say, and i'm sure the rest of t2j can help you with that. KTF

I'd like to thank all who have logged on to cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn You have realy put some good numbers up there on the listening count. Paul Clarky, Matt King, Ricky Garcia, and Arron Mowlie. Thanks again for your positive comments. Arron, I had left a review on your site, but I may have done it wrong? If I did, I will try to post some thing else. Joe. Take the time off you need, I , at least, don't expect you to vegitate at the comp while you are on vacation, let alone hiatis. Enjoyin' the "Indie" artists??!!! I love this stuff. I have found the Travis Larson Band. Good stuff. I can't put down Time machine either. Peace. KTF Randell

Clarky: did U get my email? Also, if i could get the dates for your UK Ozz fest? I can't afford to go, but i would still like the info. Did You have time to check out cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn ? Joe: I get alot of questions now about your guitar style, when I have the chance to teach, practice with other younger guitar players... This is good. One of my best friends just got engaged! and she found out I'm into your music...Now I also have her as a friend for life...just because she's into your playing ,too. Peri, is in the northwest, and she has even put a review on the Above the Numbers site. Thanks Peri, thanks Joe! 145 people a month have logged on so far in the month of may. Get the rest you need? I hope so, sounds like you are going to be busy for a long time, Joe. Randy KTF

Nightwingjatt: Learn the chords first, and the "boxes" that the chords are in for each key. The scales are all in the same place as the chords, and lead work is in the same place the chords are in the song. Same movement. Most of the time. Just to start anyway. ToneCapone: Are you right or left handed. You should use your right hand in a fist rolling it between your small and ring fingers carefully, for about 10 minutes. then the ring and middle, etc. afterwords, rub out your tendons for 10 minutes for a non playning warm-up. then play. You can do this as a cool down too. It will help your tendon separation. and maybe your speed ,too. Give it a try. try not to go into a practice cold. Good luck. Let me know if it helps, please. Randell. KTF

Kell: Ihave always been on the contention that each guitar player or musician-any instument- can only be better than themselves. Each one is special on their own. You can find that in my old posts as well as from several others here at t2j. Tonecapone: You are welcome. The Smithsonian has a Ibanez artist that is made from solid brass wieghing 70 LBS! It would be like holding a small child on your shoulder! Okay, a big small child. My Bob Weir is 2 pounds lighter than my old les paul. about 12 1/2 lbs. Try cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn for some different stuff. Thanks, Randell. Joe: Did you try this link? And thanks to Deathcube K. I'm glad you liked some of the songs. When you are on the site, please go to the bottom of the page and click in and leave a review. It may take a few days to show up on the site. KTF
