Ovation1: Mike: Ricky Garcia has a cool pup! I've been sick for a while and have been socked with home work. Steven and i are going to work on the Star Trek episode more closely during the school break. My foot is acting up again, because i have been on it to much. Steven and I are still working on new tunes. Clarky: Glad to hear that your are interfacing well with the studio/music. T2J cd soon, great! Joe: G3 is still, and always will be the top of the concert set! Have a great Christmas. Happy Holidaze band!

Joe: sorry I have not been here in a while. I have been working on finals at school. It seems that there is no such thing as a job for the disabled in this country. I suffer from the lack of (lesslys) 1. instantaniously 2. simutaniously 3. errorlessly 4. effortlessly 5. endlessly. It looks like a great christmas though. I'm alive, mostly healthy, and still looking for work. "Above The Numbers" has gotten some great response. Thank you T2Jers! Steven and I have sold about 100 cd's so far. I hope we can sell more on the cdbaby site, and at tower records.com Your G3 stuff is the best! Who could not make it a present this year. I hope that doing the G3 thing has been a positive for you so far. It would be Kuul to perform with all those shredders! When I find work this next year, I hope you can do another set of concerts that I can go to. I still want to get a photo of you with my guitar some time. God bless, and happy holidaze. Randell

Hey Ovation1: I have been sick with that flu as of late, and have neglected my Star Trek story. Once the holidaze are over I'll get you another installment.....Ron Thal...Isn't he the guy who did "Improvising Rock Guitar"? I learned about boxes from that book. Joe: I hope you have a great christmas! Your new stuff will make great presents. Clarky: It is great to hear yout song "The raft" is going well in the studio. Any time to review Above the Numbers stuff? Morning light is on cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn Give some of the songs a try. Thanks, happy holidaze T2Jers! Remember the reason for the season! KTF Randell

Mike: Ovation1: No typing got done so far, bacause I'm looking for work. Got Steven set up in the Wilde studio, with a newer switching amp so'os he can make better compulation disc's. "Star Trek" is on hold for now. Got a tower gift card, and ordered Gary Hoey's Best of Ho Ho Hoey! I'll send a review when it comes in. Joe: It is great that you got out and about to recharge. nothin' like some snow sports to get the blood pumpin'. Have a ball in Europe. Any new Just joe stuff on tap? Hey Joe: This Wednesday at the Freight and Salvage at 111 1 Addison Ave. in Berkeley California a benefit concert for the homeless called "Shelter from the Storm" will be held. Country Joe McDonald and Buzzy Linhart and the Big Few will be there. I just wanted to leave word for all of your fans who are interested in Buzzy Linhart. Hope you see this Mike: and that you are safe and happy. It's the first time Buzzy's been out for a while, and should prove to be a worth while event. Joe: It will be great to hear your new Peavey amp! I'm stoked! I've been playing Peavey amps for quite a while. KTF Randell

Happy birthday(yesterday) Buzzy Linhart!!! I've had better times. Joe: remember when you trashed your toe?! I will have 1 less to worry about in a couple of weeks. I get to remain verry sick untill the hospital orthopod desides it's the right time to take off. We are trying to save some of my big left toe. Steven has had a hard time with his equilibrium, part of a subtle seisure suffered recently, so recording has been put off for a while. We were working up a couple of tunes to take to an open mike.....but not now. Once we both get through this next tought patch, we'll start again. Hope all the T2 Jers are all okay. I gotta make-up study for all the time in the er.

Darren: on the pinch harmonics thing, try holding your pick at a steep angle to the string and grazing your thumb over the string on the harmonic "Spot." Once you find the (righthand)spots for harmonics, it's easy!

Joe: The good news is....I get to keep my toe!!!! I love the cutz I've heard on your site. That Wha sound is called Q-filtering. Mike: ATN now has a following in Japan, with some new purchases recently.....thanks, you must be stumping for us....sorry bad choice of words. She-bang......I thought you might be a william houng (sp)fan. I inadvertantly found an old friend I used to jam with. I'm not sure if I should even talk to him. Too much water under the bridge kinda thing. Maybe..... Great site Jon, Joe. Great sound. Randell

Joe: Great response from the new album! Mike: love the Guitar Wars stuff. Now people will know why we like these guys so much. Schumie: Take a look at all who play: it's how you hold your wrist when you solo, as well as the notes you play. You have to relax, (some) to get that legato stuff. Check the t2j archives for more info, and check out Steve Vai's site. Welcome to t2j. Health for me comes slow, but I'll get better. No word on when I can wear shoes again. My fave from Joe: that unpernouncable one. song 0ne.

Hey Mike, Matt, Paul, Joe, T2Jers, etc....I have changed from DXMG, too many asking me if I'm like dmx? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Paul, Hang in there and I would love to get a hold of the "Raft". Sounds like it's gonna get good. New stuff from Above the Numbers will develop this summer, with Steven ratcheting out some really cool new instrumentals. Joe: Trying to put your thumb in just the right place......me too, for years now. I hope you have gotten to listen to Above the Numbers on whatever you get for a break. Top tunes from you this time. It may take years for people to really appreciate what you've done here. I do right now, as well as many from T2J. Randell

Matt: sorry to hear about your drummer situation, but it'll get better now. Matt Martinez:Yes: my moniker was from my Jackson guitar. Now I've decided to use my bands name, Above the Numbers, or ATN. I had too many people e-mailing me wanting (or spouting) Rap ideologies at me. I don't need that. Welcom to T2J Matt M and Josh Jandreau. Danny: sorry I was so out of it when you asked to help me get to the Concord record signing for Joe's newest. and thanks for the Deep Purp info. Kell, Thanks. Death cubeK:You should hear Steven's Wildes new stuff! Mike: Joe has heard atn, can you hear us in the new album? Paul: get well fast! Joe: Hope you get a chance to see the family and get a breather between your busy shedule. Keep finding those 7th and 8th order harmonics! Randell

Joe: Just give people time to "listen in" to your latest album. It will prove to be the best of "Joe" so far. I can hear quite a few Joe moments in the mix. You left enough personal fingering personality traits to intruge all of us for quite some time. Hope you are not tired from all the travel. Awsome stuff big guy! Randell

Good Molrning Joe!: I just woke up to listen to more of your new album on your site. (I am broke so'os I have to log on for now) I am contemplating my options for employment. Once my foot heals up the whole way, I may still be in line to get into Brass instrument repair. Wish me luck. Opticalstudio: Check your e-mail....you have new pictures there! Mike: Have you sent me your home addy....I think I remember getting it from you. I'd like to send you a copy of Stevens new songs! Send me a line at my leox9@hotmail and I will see what I can do. Joe: sounds like the amp roll out and guitar clinic is well received! Cool, a great amp with decent channel switching. Just what we all need. Now players can wrench out all the shred they can handel. My uncle passed away this last week...he did alot of secret stuff for the military along the lines of electro-magnetics...which made his bones thin. Succumed to a lung disorder. R.I.P. Jack Acord. Yes, That's his real name. Hope you don't mind Aunt Estelle! God Bless.

JOE: I broke out my note book for your last post! I have even heard sbm riffs in commercials as of late. The Sheer Blonde commercial has a blatent use of one of my vocal riffs in it from Above the Numbers album...Morning Light straight out of the song "Amazingly." COOL. I just love it when I hear back things people love about our songs!! When I get working...I will definately get a Jsx amp. Stay safe out there....Randell

COErules: Sorry it took so long to identify your question. The only diference between the 1000 and the 1200, the color and the pick-ups....isn't that enough? Keep jamming. Joe: New advances in playing have been found at a guitar teaching site. I love rockhousemethod.com ! Now Steven and I can jam and practice leadwork, while the net does the rhythm. Almost like jammin' to your cd! I have also been collecting pictuers for our web site(if we ever get the help we need to make one). Hope you are not traveled out..you seem to have quite a full schedule. God bless. Randell P.S. Steven may have to move..which means a bigger studio for us to put together. I love it. I registered for a membership at D'Addario.com. My pass word does not work! And they sent it to me. Hey Mike: Matt, Ricky, etc.
