Hey Joe....sorry, had to throw in the Hendrix pun due to posts of late....anyway, the new record sounds great. It's got a very smooth and flowing vibe to it, which is indeed a good thing from time to time, and I particularly like the acoustice rhythm with the nice open/mid-range-ish bluesy/melody licks in "Chords of Life." As previously stated, however, no part of it is a disappointment. To the other folks, Hendrix was a type of musical revolutionary, that at his time was on top of the guitar playing heap and inspired many to take the instrument further. The revered Satch man is by far at the top these days (and I don't personally think it's physically possible to get any better) but at some point, perhaps there will be someone inspired enough by his virtuousity to take the next step with the instrument.

The live version of Echos from Time Machine would be a good one, or even a live version of Hill of the Skull would be really cool. Definately the Forgotten, Cool #9, Secret Prayer, Lights of Heaven, Chords of Life, and of course the good old Satch Boogie.

Also, we REALLY need a G3 date in Minneapolis, MN. We didn't get the '01 tour with Petrucci, and during the fall it's harder to get time to drive to Chicago or Milwakee....
