In my books,Dream Theater is the best Vocal Band!
The best Heavy Metal Band
The best Rock Opera band
Best all around Musicians.......On the Frikazian planet...!:)
I finally saw them live at Pompano Beach,Florida 2 months ago.I was totally in shock,Portnoy made it look soooo damn effortless & the timing was flawless.
Petrucci was Too professional..lol..
The bass player mirrored what Petrucci was doing in perfect synch
The Keyboard player didn't miss a lick.
The sound was excellent.......I can't say anything but good things about these guys.
But Joe is still the best Guitar solo artist around:)

I think I'll start recording in the month of January.Things are very hectic here at the moment.I'm trying to find work & buy a condo between now & December 31st...Ha! Lots of luck jblaze...lol...But it must be done!......Be back later:)

Ovation1:That would be a great Christmas present wouldn't it?:)One hell of a stocking stuffer..lol..The only bummer is that when I get a house,I will not have a computer to grace everyone with my presence here.It may be 4 months before I can get one.I'll let everyone know when I plan to be off line for a while so you all can talk about me while I'm gone!..lol.........
I still practice 3 hours a day to keep the digits digitized..lol..But no real time for structured writing.Just a few riffs & melodies here & there
Also,should I do a longer version of "Blue Horizon" this time for kicks?...

Kinger:Yes!....the thought actually ran across my mind very recently.Even before the guitar guard thingy...If I can't find a damn job here in Florida by January...California bound baby!...I refuse to rent with no job....So I'll spend the money on a ticket to california & try my luck there.!!!I have already been to S.F. twice for ten days each.Needless to say I know my way around pretty well.I love California!:)

oh yeah....Michelle:Maybe if I get the Guitar security job,I will be able to log on at Headquarters!...lol...lol...lol...But I need a house badly....I figured I spent over 30,000 bucks renting over the years..Hell,that's a small morgage for Gods sake!! & alot of guitar strings too!..lol..

OCPS:I don't think you are Born with speed persay.Speed takes alot of work.Anybody can be fast with enough practice.Natural born Talent,Yes!...Maybe some people can think faster than others.There is a need to anticapate your next move.I have that problem.I can play pretty damn fast but my noggin can't keep up with my finger speed & changes.No,I am not saying I am faster than anybody else so nobody get any ideas...lol...but accuracy is very important along with your speed.Petrucci has a "Rock Discipline " video.Check it out.He explaines how both can be achieved.Well,thats my Nickels worth....inflation you know?!.......lol
