I had the opportunity to meet Joe with the Platinum package in Columbus, OH. He signed my transparent red JS. What an incredibly nice guy! There were so many things I wanted to say after having been a fan for so long, but with the crowd waiting, all I got out was to thank him for producing the best music. Period. And to tell him that his music has been the sound track of my life - from the highest highs to the lowest lows.
To me, the Joe connection hasn't ever been about who's the fastest player or the heaviest, it's that Joe writes GREAT songs that speak to people - not to mention the technical abilities! Very rarely does someone posses the technical prowess he does with an ability to create such beautiful and meaningful music. In my opinion, the purest form of expression is the guitar (not words, not painting, not photography) and Joe has simply taken this to a level beyond my comprehension.
So, Joe, thanks again for the life time body of work, how it has touched and influenced me in many facets of my life, for offering the platinum experience, and for being so pleasant to finally meet. As my license plate on my Corvette says, 1 BIGRSH, it's was really one big rush to meet you after having seen you 7 times.
