HEY JOE
When you had just began your career as an instrumental guitarist, did you do any touring to support your CD sales? How did you promote yourself?

T2J CD Is anybody planning on press coverage in their area, I have some connections here with the local papers to gain exposure for the project.
If anyone has some magazine connections maybe we can get some good press, that'll boost the charity and our jams at the same time.

I know what you mean about waiting 'til the CD is complete K.
Timing is everything when doing promotions. I think after choosing the artwork I'm gonna start dropping www.talk2joe.com and artwork on some business cards to get a buzz started.
Anybody have a price quote on what the CD will cost?

Gigging??? Is there anyone out there gigging that's playing strictly instrumental guitar music? Matt K - or anyone else. What kind of places are you playing and how do the people take to it without lyrics?

Matt saw your cool vids...you mentioned improving your performance...I found it too hard to play that many notes while scooting around stage LOL, but anyway my question was...why is it you don't stand in the middle, is the drummer too loud..just curious

Ricky and Alexandre When you are playing live do you use backing tracks or do you have a band.
I have to use backing tracks because I have no band yet and that makes the pressure intense.

Alexandre Caetano I just finished listening to your music and I like it. Kinda reminds me of the way I play, I think you jam in favorite key. It sounds like both of your songs are the same key.
Did you use another guitar to do the solos?
I've found if I can double my tracks and pan them I loose the need for as much reverb. Go 4 an epic recording next time....

Quantum You can't go wrong with a strat....I know some don't have humbuckers, but homemade strat packs a powerfull punch with a dropped-C tuning. Hear iton my cover @ IUMA
Death Cube KI got that tune up atMy IUMA it's called "The Monkey" and it's a little bit off-the-pace. Everyone please leave me some comments.

T2J CD I think something with a guitar on the front will represent the project best, cause you know people will still be asking "O what is that?" Although I still like front cover5.
It'll be a tuff decision on this one though.

Matrix I give it a 6 because of the unnecessary scenes. Seeing people dance did give me any idea of what Zion' rs do in their spare time.
I do think Neo is the "one" a la the POD video, it's in his name and Neo means New. I also think Neo and his crew are just a deadly virus inside a computers hard drive set to "seek and destroy" Anyway that's usually how a part 2 story works, just a connection for the grande finale.

OCPS470 If you like the DS-1 you should try out the SD1 or SD2 sometime. I have an SD2 and this thing can really generate the feedback at low volumes, but it seems to have a darker tone than the DS1. The SD is a good alternative at times.

Death Cube When I hit a rut I sometimes set things down for about a week then come back and start doing some olestyle excercises for the fingers, and things seem to brighten up alot for me. OR Start recording some off-the-wall stuff and piece it all together, I kinda like that approach sometimes, lol

trutina Thanks for the feeling the vaibe dude
I have been known to teach some guitar in my days, but I don't get to deep in the theory stuff, I think it comes natural to some players who have an ear to play the Lydian, Dorian modes and such. Although some people must take the time and learn theory first then develop the ear to what they learned.
