You know, if you want to find all performances of a song, what concerts, which bootlegs, etc, you find the song in the index, or on the album and click on the song information link.
For example: Midnight
That tells you a bit about the song, and all performances and cds.
Note how Surf on this earth and elysee montmartre both also show rubina? Click on the track number for those and you'll note the track has both songs one after the other, on the one track.

:) I just had a thought. I'll add the coldplay album and make the viva la vida track a performance of If I could fly!

Joe Satrini: Una Noche, Musty Professor (1,2 and 3), my Donnie! :) There's a few cool things. Actually the Always with me Jam at Allans on the Curly Joe Satarini CD is awesome, I was there and it was such a cool and very cosy jam, they played the one (loooooong) version of always to a packed guitar shop (probably 80 people?) with us all sitting on the carpet.
Cotton Club, not just the recording, but the format of the pack and the history of how and where I found it.
Some more little things in there. I enjoy collecting them for the packaging as well, the long box format surfing is pretty cool, the print on the CD is different also. And I think the Surfing/Joe double sided picture vinyl is very cool. Joe had a laugh signing that one.

Hey Joe,
I saw, in a guys shop, y'know where they sell bar clocks and silly drinking glasses and stuff, they had guitarist action figures from guitar hero.
I madly looked through them for a Joe Satriani, complete with black dog guitar. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find one! LOL. I did find a complete Metallica band box, with guitarist, drummer, etc..
Anyway, it got me to thinking, I reckon a LOT of fans would buy a posable shaved buckethead guitarist action figure with a blackdog or JS1200CA or js10th guitar they could sit in their studio or on the desk at work.
In fact, you could have a timemachine and satchurator pedal in there, and a couple of guitars. then you could sell accessories, different guitars (a limited set of donnies, rainforests and electric rainbows) a JSX head and cabinets, a rubber chicken, a moustache and eyebrow disguise set, etc.... Then get the guys into it and have stu figure, and a Jeff figure with drums, and a Galen figure.
That would be pretty funny.
Let me know if you want me to do it and how much royalty you want from sales, and I'll track down some manufacturers.
:)

Skippygirl,
Technically thumb on the back is more "correct" - however you need to balance fun with theory.
What I mean is, it's like everything, unless you are a superhuman or a robot, you cannot learn the best position and habits from the beginning. It won't make sense and it will slow you down. Just like you cannot learn guitar by first learning all musically theory before you pick up an instrument. Sure, in the end you may be a better player and pick it up like lightning, but the years leading up to that day will be less interesting.
So learning is an iterative process, do what you can for now to get a good sound and enjoy your learning, just have a few pointers in the back of your mind each time you play. Then your technique will evolve and improve. And when you feel like it, get a bit of playing you have trouble with and try and improve THAT technique. Just be aware you will learn a lot of "bad" habits, fix some, and call some your own "style".
I personally try to use good technique when I can, such as if a run or chord can be done the "real" way with the pinky, or cheated with a barre chord, then I'll try to use the more difficult one, which forces good hand position. But if just strumming for fun, substitute the cheat chord to get the right groove, the hand can be more relaxed in this case, as you discovered with D.
Above all, as I think Joe put it, don't spend too much time practicing, spend more time playing.

Spacebars: Sorry bit late for this one, but I think it's hilarious that there's this huge bloody key on the keyboard, waaaay bigger than all others, and when you hit it, you get absolutely nothing at all! Even the full-stop key has at least a single pixel! :)

GG2 - small world hey?
I was never really into GK's stuff. I've played it a little just because I own a few things for my Satch collection.
Good luck with the lessons, make sure you video them if it works out. Then you can refer back for more info and things you may not have got or didn't pick up the first time.

Hey, I just thought of something missing on my site.
I have all the songs with their own page and thought I should add Joe's comments on each song. Can everyone help me with this one? I did a quick search and found a few, but I know there are stories scattered all over the place with the explanation behind many of his songs, like If I could fly for instance, when he started writing it, the process, the recording, etc.
Can everyone just keep it in mind and when you come across an interview or story or discussion with Joe, copy paste here or in an email and I'll document them all. Even better, go to the song on my site and just add the url or the copy-paste of the info as a comment directly to the song.
I know Joe likes that people can make the song fit their meanings as well, but this will be tagged on the songs, so if people want to dig down to that level, they can do so to see Joe's history and thoughts/feelings on each one.
Thanks for any help,
Roo

Here's an example:
If I Could Fly
Please help me with this everyone, it'll be much quicker if we all chip in a little.
I have already been lifting the explanations of songs from albums that included them, I am more interested in the obscure ones, like driving at night, the snake, power cosmic, etc...

Confirmed - they are definitely NOT numbered.
That's why I was excited to find mine as it's so unique.
Firstly it doesn't have the blue squiggle, which I've seen on all others, and secondly because I had it a full month before they were shipped around the world (from a guitar show) and got a letter from HoshinoGakki congratulating me on the find (and have the case and certificate as well). Any other blackdog seems to be indestinguishable from each other as far as I can tell.
Roo
The serial number plates are only used to identify them and match to the certificates.
I've seen one on ebay that had a serial number well below mine, by a big margin. The serial number links it to the certificate, for authentication, but other than that you cannot tell them apart.
As a respected Ibanez authority told me, you cannot determine production order from serial number, they have a stack of plates they grab from and they don't run each guitar through from start to finish in a first in first out basis, so the last off the line might end up with the first of the plates in that step. The only thing that really makes #1 special in a numbered series is the fact it got labelled #1.

Come on, I can't give away all my secrets can I? :)
If you want something cool, try Rich, he's regularly having stuff through, and I bought my JS2KPLT off ebay last year for a good price. I've seen at least 4 or 5 each of PLTs and 10ths on ebay in the last 6 months.
Rich - Ibanez Rules
I almost bought a black JS1 off him recently, I think he's still got at least one as far as I know.

Maybe I'll sell my collection and retire though! :) not yet, maybe when I'm old and deaf, we'll I'm half way there anyway...
