njbeast...don't worry, hehehe...i am always too modest about myself, hehehe....i never like copying satch or whatever other player...i am a freak about personal styles, i will stand out some day with my own style....i am always more interested in people who try to come out with their own style, in stead of people who only copy copy copy and try to show how good they are, while they just play someone else's style.............that book i allready own, along with other tab books.....i can play, don't worry....i am just never satisfied enough.....that's a good thing, makes me practise more...

but thanks for your concern anyway, heheehe...

wish my working day was over.....want to play my js1000wh now.....

Harvster... So you liked the website hey ??? cool....my greatest struggle of working on a design-office is that you work with designers....i made the site, but wanted to make it much more interesting (in this setup by the way) but they don't even know what internet is, but they do want to decide how it is made....they stripped it all down...was much nicer at first...

I use AutoCAD 2002 here at the office, along with 3D studio VIZ, photoshop, illlustrator, indesign....but those are not used for the drafting of course...my email adress is listed in my profile, so send me a drawing once....would be nice...

Chrystal Planet....yeah, the JS1000WH is my dream guitar as well...love it to death....i really recommend it....yeah, upgrading a JS100 is a choice, but you wouldn't get near the JS1000 with it....the pickups, well, it's a nice upgrade, but not really neccessary...ever heard Pete Mulas playing his stock JS100 ??? i rest my case...and upgrading your JS100 to dimarzios and maybe another bridge is quite expensive.....better to save some more and buy your dream guitar...i learned it the hardway, but to be honest, i really really love my JS100 as well.......they both play nice, but the JS1000 feels like a godess....sounds so much mature...

The V-amp2 is pretty cool, i am not a great tweaker, but the sounds are pretty decent, and if you ARE a tweaker, you'll love it....also try out the new POD xt.....they are super.....

h302....since it's a dutch voting site, well....jan akkerman is a dutch old geezer, somewhere in the 70's he was announced best guitar player of the world..... ok, he's a reall nice player, but he's soooo arrogant, and come on.....every local shredder can jam with him anytime...he's a jazzy bluesy player, and i even have some old cassette-tapes lying around.....but there are some players here on this site that are young, but top jan akkerman by miles.......if i had to choose between jan akkerman and for example Peter Mulas....come on.....jan akkerman ??? who's that.... come to think of it, i think i am going to try and get peter mulas in that voting list....let's whoop jan akkerman out of first place......

h203...no problem man, but uhm....i used to like him very much, now i don't because i've seen him perform many times where he acted so bloody arrogant.....i've seen some replies from people who think he's great....well....see for yourself, there must be some stuff to be found on the web....has some serious cool tunes i must say.....but the award he got in the 70's must have made a difference in his appearance that i dislike.....

njoy.....

HAhahaha.....r6rocker/clarky....lol

what have i done, hehehe....well, to be honest, when i first got into guitar, jan akkerman WAS in my hero-list...he's a great player and all....i haven't actually said he couldn't play....he really can....but to be an actual hero of mine, that's what i was talking about....there are sooooo many players who can play my ears off....i kinda suck myself, and i CAN recognize everyone's abilities.....but to be a real hero, there's more than just plucking strings.....i have the same opinion about harry sacksioni (also a great dutch player.....try to find some of his stuff.....really really cool) sacksioni but i've seen him on numerous occasions, and they have this attitude i have never seen in any of my true 'heroes' .... so thats why i dislike Jan Akkerman, and since recently also harry....

but if i could play like them.....man....i would love to be announced guitar player of the world....i know in that era, he was way ahead of a lot of people.....in this era, however....mmmmmh......tooooo many great players....

didn't mean to get the wrath of people on me by dissing jan akkerman, soooo sorry, heheheheeh

Hey joe.....next week i'm going to austria for this great SKI-TRIP....man, i wish i had a MD-player, so i could take some nice satch-songs with me.....but hey....on the slopes i could joedel like the best.....so if anyone sees this crazy ski -dude racing down the slopes playing air guitar and yelling 'JOEDELAHIIIIITIIIIIIIIIII' it will be me.....

hehehe...

hey joe, nice to see some blue around again.....i am still wondering if you ever got that demo-cd i left at the concert in amsterdam.....it's a demo cd of an australian friend of mine, thnxs to the help of the digital world and internet and all i was able to deliver somthing for him...i wish i could have handed it over to you personally, but there was no chance...so i left the cd at your pedalboard, and i saw mike manning pick it up while you allready left the stage....so i was wondering....did it ever get to you ??? come on, would mean the world to me.....

Guitarist182: Too bad you had this experience....

i was there as well.....and it was one of the greatest satch performances i have yet seen......and i've seen quite a few allready......

i dont know if you have been to many concerts, but the prices are a bit high, but thats usual, shirts, posters, caps, they are allways pretty expensive......not only at a satriani concert.....

it is normal for the artists to be in the venue a lot longer, especially if they have these aftershow-thingies, and club-joe arrangements....so waiting outside will take a lot of patience......

Joe is a great guy, and if you have watched the podcasts, you would have noticed him going out in the streets in daylight, meeting fans, putting them in his little funny movies, and it is quite known to a lot of people that joe really appreciates his fans, and is always nice to them if he meets them....

too bad this made you decide you will never go to one of his concerts again just by this single experience.....

Just going to paradiso, THE dutch dream-venue for concerts like this.....it made it an incredible experience for me.......

thnx Joe.....
