Cube-san:

It pains me greatly to hear the struggles your clan is having.

Forage on, you must.I am reminded of an old proverb, who's origins and meaning are unclear to all those but my master, Sensei Alphonzo, and your Master, the Poultry Shadow. "Yeah, I like it.It's good."

Although it's true meaning is unknown to me, it brings me comfort, and has become my mantra of late, during the coming of the nu-ninji.Perhaps it can again bring some comfort to your clan, as you no doubt are familiar with it.

Phy-the bass in the background makes me think of Bootsy on the buckethead albums.I don't know how it is though, not really ringin' any bells.
Petrucci is a sick mo fo.Watching some LTE boots, and his right hand is just terrifying. His stamina just baffles me.He juggles up divisions like nobody's business.I mean, he'll be doin straight 16ths or eighths, and he can toss in a few 32nds without breaking a sweat. The only guy Ive seen who alt picks arpeggios as well is Morse, but he isn't human, so he doesn't count.I think I hate him.

clone 1 -My buddy Avi works in a music store that has a few of those.I'm surprised you dig that so much, didn't do much for me.

To each his own, eh? :D

Clone-I think EOC is the most brilliant album of the last 10 years, easy.Very, very underrated, In My Awesome Opinion.

I cannot pick between that one, and Surfing as my favorite.

I received lashings for not practicing enough today.

Now, I must practice all day and night. How could I lose sight of the mission?I must learn the Deadly Sonic Arts.I must avenge my master.I must eat something other than Chef Boy-are-dee Ravioli.

I will fulfill my destiny.

Eddie is actually 48,or 49 I think.

He explained in an interview that DLR told them all to lie about their ages, and claim to be 2 years younger.

I hope that he gets his act together, hate to se him down like this.

According to Zakk Wylde and Dimebag Darrell, they have been bugging him to do an album with them. Now THAT, would kick ass, even though I'm sick of hearing about Zakk, I think a project with all three of them would be sick.

Cube-San:

I felt a disturbence in the Farce. The 16 herbs and spices is a secret that has saved many.It DOES have an Achilles' Heel, however.Be careful, you must.

For a Deadly combo, substitute the deadly "Slaw-izuki" with "Makuroni-an-cheez-ugami",or "Bizkite-ichi-Gravy-ban".

I will meditate on how to prepare for the coming attack.

If only my master, Sensei Alphonzo, were here to unleash the Yellow Blizzard upon our mutual foe.

Soon, our clans will unite, and enjoy Sensei Alphonzo's Rice cake breakfast together.Soon, Cube-san.Soon.

Sauron-I actually missed a few of those.BUT, some of the questions were beyond lame, such as QUESTION 16 "What is the answer to question #13?"Well, I started on the last question, so how am I supposed to know without opening 2 browsers?

AND, Dreaming #11 was NOT his first album at all.Nor is EOC his latest.

Kinda blasphemous to Spell Jimi Hendrix wrong too, if ya ask me.

However, I really didn't know wher ehe got the title for Rasperry Jam, or about the Uli Jon Roth quote.OR what Gary Moore said, which pissed me off.

Olly- How important do you feel it is to learn the letters of the Alphabet?

That's the best answer I can think of.

What I mean is basically, music is a language. If you want to speak a language, generally one of the starting points is learning the alphabet. It is pretty much a necessity.

So, I think learning the notes on the fretboard is as important as learning the alphabet, know what I mean?

Phrygidaire-You don't dig the Fred?Sorry man, you could always sell it to me :D

From what I understand, both the Fred and the Evolutions are pickups that don't sound great through just anything, you gotta futs with the EQ and whatnot.

If anyone wants to buy some VIDEOS, Im selling my PETRUCCI-Rock Discipline, GILBERT-Terrifying Guitar Trip, and GAMBALE-Monster Licks and Speed Picking Videos.I don't have booklets for em, so Im gonna sell em for 20$ a piece, or 55$ for all 3.OBO, of course.

Lemme know if anyone is interested!

I am only selling these cuz I am POOR :D

They all play very well, and will enrich your life, and make women crawl to you, unless you are a girl, then Men will crawl to you!(Unless you are a lesbian, then women will still crawl to you, unless you are a gay male, then men will crawl to you.Does that cover every scenario?)

Eric Johnson had to wear those headphones, he has tinnitus, so it is necessary to help his ears.Stu wears them occasionally too, if I remember correctly. It gets really loud during those jams!

At his own shows he does move around a little. He was a little uncomfortable at G3, give him some slack guys.

Cool, I didn't meant to imply there was any EJ bashing going on, I just wanted to set some things straight.

I actually am not a fan of Eric's tone.Although Iabsolutely LOVE his playing, his tone is boring and repetitve to me.The more I hear it, the less I like it.Way too many effects.George Lucas could be his Tech.

No, It wasn't that Eric was on a different label or anything like that, the live record was more of an after-the-fact thing anyways.Eric wasn't comfortable, and that's pretty much it.He really likes to be in charge of his sound, and being that there were three performers to worry about every night, I am sure he didn't have total control over all of the sound variables, so that is one of the things that contributed to his awkwardness.

I saw him by himself about 2 years ago, and he was very active on stage.I just don't think he was comfortable in that situation.

Ya- yo- First thing: Good taste in movies.

2nd thing, DLR sucked in every way possible.

Yes, Sammy may have had some lyrical missteps, but DLR wrote lyrics like a 3rd grade poetry contest.Simply terrible.Top that off with the fact that he was a horrible singer(they HAD to tune to Eb to deal with his lack of singing ability), and a lame human being.

He also would only record one line at a time when they recorded all those old Van Halen albums.Weird, if you ask me.

Sammy was a far bettter singer.Fuck, DLR isn't even a singer in comparison. And btw, Sammy DID play the guitar, but only at live shows. No reason for another guitarist on a VH album, no?

Sammy brought life to that band.I still think 5150 is the best thing they ever did.Eddie was better and more creative on that then anything else, I think.

On "Good enough" he had a bass string on his guitar, tuned to A!That was what, 8 years before Korn?

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.Think what you like :D

I didn't get to go to the show, I couldn't get a ride from Sacramento to Tahoe, so I had to stay in washington.Sucks, it would have been awesome to hear Time Machine live.

My dad said the sound was really bad, muddy and way too much bass, they couldn't even hear Joe from their seats. But Joe played great, of course.

Oddly enough, he said Time Machine sounded the best out of everything.Damn.

DLR sucks, solo or otherwise.Whiter shade of Pale is a good song, so there.

Sammies solo stuff was way better than DLR.bleh.

Huge Ego?Ok, whatever.

RE:The Darkest of Winters:The simpson's theme was not in the original recording, but I am sure they planned out putting it in the live version.

They often do different fills during those little pauses.I prefer the studio version.

For the interested, I love Eric, please don't mistake my criticisms for dislike.:D

MATT: I would lover to do a recording, but I don't have an amp, or any gear. One of these days I will though!

So you dont think "Get up","Good Enough", "5150", "Judgement day" and a dozen other are Rock?Well, you can think what you want.

Honestly though, It's not like Sammy was writing the riffs, he just wrote and sang the lyrics.Sounds more like your problem with Hagar era VH is Eddie, not Sammy, honestly.

Who listens toVH for lyrics anyways? You want something profound, read a book.
