Graham-I work Saturday, you guys can come up satruday night if you want, crash at my place, and then we can jam all sunday.i get off on Saturday at 7pm, so we could still hang out, maybe catch a flick or something, and do some unplugged jamming.
New Vai DVD is pretty neat.Im annoyed with some of it, and floored by other parts.Worth it totally.

Whoa...Do a search on the internet for Crossroads pictures and you find out all sorts of crazy stuff-Eric Johnson used to play guitars with Floyd roses on them, some of Vai's parts were sped up in Crossroads(which I had guessed actually, although that may or may not be true),Ry Cooder and Arlen Roth were not happy about the way the movie ended, or having Vai in it, and the biggest shock.........

962- I found it on the net from an Arlen Roth
interview.Also, It wasn't infered that Vai sped it up, it was said that it was sped up in the movie, probably by Walter Hill in post production.
I had guessed it because in the film some of the nylon string stuff sounds tuned up higher, so I figured it was sped up, hence the higher tuning.I don't think that Vai played any of the Nylon string stuff though, so I should probably retract that I thought Vai's stuff was sped up.
Maybe Arlen was confused, and William Kbussifussenger(The classical guitarist) was the one who was sped up.I am positive that Vai's part, I mean the ones that you actually see him play on screen, arent sped up.Mainly because they aren't really all that fast, and I've personally seen and heard Vai play much faster stuffs.All though, they are badly synched up.Like when Vai uses his right hand to mute behind the left hand, and you can hear picking.Lame.

ERIC BATTERIES THINGY-he was asked about it in an interview and he said he thinks anyone could hear the difference, he said it is blatantly obvious.I think it was only between 2 specific brands though.

(I think), RICKY GARCIA has another killer interview online, a guy called BRETT GARSED!!!
Brett is SO underrated, one of my big influences these last few years.He made me want to abandon sweep picking, and as a result I work on Hybrid picking a lot more, even though it has always been a big part of my style.He is just UNREAL with it.
